Thumbtack, leading up to the job the owner, who is Ed explained our options for our attic as we recently had a roof installed and **** Roofing left us a mess. Ed recommended new R30 to satisfy the code for the winter and now it looks brand like new. Ask for Luis the GM -c
Uncle Mike was the very best. He repaired our problem in a day and guaranteed his work. I would highly recommended him.
I hired Chris for a large project which included hardscape (stone wall, patio) arbor, lighting and landscape. Chris and his team paid attention to little details, and were meticulous. He was professional with his proposals and timelines and except for weather delays project was finished exceeding my expectations in all regards. I invested in a plan which was later absorbed in cost of project, and that was the best decision as it kept the plan sharply defined and we both knew what to expect. His team is outstanding - the guys who work with their hands - that is what produced the quality that I cared about. He was a great hire.
Ramon and his crew improved several long standing drainage issues on our property by installing a drainage pipe to the edge of our property and including a catchment basin and connecting our gutters as well as grading around our property and installing drains and a timber egress window well around our large basement window. He also put a small metal well and graded around a small window at grade. I had put off this drainage problem for some time because I knew it would be a lot of work and was sure it would cost a lot of money and/or take a lot of time but it became an emergency when we installed a larger window in our basement and were unable, for various reasons, to get a well installed with a workable shortterm solution of trying to use a well cover, gravel base and good grading to keep the well from filling with water during our torrential rains. Mr. Mendoza gave me a very reasonable price and he and his crew had the project complete in 2 days. I am so happy looking at this project... I had been thinking about it for so long and it is such a relief to finally have our property protected. Civil Engineering and water resources is my professional field as well and I am very impressed with Mr. Mendoza's knowledge and common sense approach (did not try to sell me anything I didn't need) and also enjoyed interacting with him and his crew.
Value Dry waterproofing waterproofed our whole basement. We received pricing from other company's who offered to "cut corners" by not doing things such as waterproofing the driveway wall ect. We chose value dray to do the job because their system was better than corrugated piping but not as expensive as other company's with patented basement systems. Everyone was very nice and helpful. We also like that our basement now has a lifetime transferable dry warranty. Who else gives you that?
My experience with Watergaurd was a pleasant and impressive one. I solicited proposals from four water proofing contractors. One never called back, another called back once,so I was left with two to select from. It took my company a year to finally decide to move forward with the two projects. By far Aquagaurd was the most professional. The sales rep that I worked with (John Bryant) contacted me throughout the year wasn't at all pushy. The company provided excellent literature and a CD on what they proped to do. It was very helpfull for me to sell the repairs to my corporate office. They arrived at the job sight on the day they said they would and completed the job in the six day time frame that they said they would. I was certait that it couldn't be done in twice the time and I certainly expected it to be more problamatic then they did. I've worked at this property for over 30 years and have always lived with the compplaints of a wet comercial garage and elevator pit. I no longer have those problems thanks to these guys. The crew were among the hardest working I've ever seen and they were well supervised. They left both job sites far cleaner then they found them. You won't regret using Aquagaurd.
Alan was locally contracted; only lives a couple of neighborhoods over. Alan looked over the house very closely and took his time to really explain and answer all my questions/concerns. I could have very easily been mislead if it weren't for his complete honesty. I thought I had major structural issues. Turned out I had a dip in the floor caused by a structurally sound, but not straight floor joist. All the other foundation/settling speculations like interior doors not closing right, he explained were because my doors are cheapest builder grade and warp over time due to humidity. The house is 23 years old. He combed the house inside and out. During his inspection, unrelated, he even identified one loose duct that needed to be reconnected that channels heat to the second floor. I moved in late this summer, so I haven't had time to identify all the quarks of my house, but quickly repaired the connection with duct tape and a couple of gutter screws. Alan again did a great job explaining how my house was built and what he was looking for. Since I did not need any repairs, there were no charges. I tried to tip him enough for a nice lunch, but he politely said he was going home for lunch (less than a mile or two away) before his next job that day.
Everything went well with the Sound Proofing of the CFO Office. She has been so impressed with the silence she now leaves her door cracked just a little to hear what is going on outside now. LOL go figure.
Mel has been very helpful so far and is now working up a proposal. No work has been done yet--we are still in the planning stages. I am looking forward to working with Mel, he is very personable.
