I began my guitar lessons the first day of July. Chris is an outstanding teacher who gets you involved in the lesson, gives you patient instruction and timely feedback on your progress. I have taken many other lessons from other teachers and did not get the same results in weeks that I got with Chris on the first day.

After speaking with Steve, I found him to be very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I have not started lessons yet, but I feel he will be a good match for what I would like to learn.

Myriam is an outstanding language instructor. She is patient and allows her students to progress at their own pace, but also ensures that they have a good understanding of the lesson before moving to the next topic. I would highly recommend Myriam to anyone interested in studying the spanish language.

I initially contacted Penelope for voice lessons for my daughter who loves to sing and play ukulele, it so happens she plays uke as well. She works with my daughter on voice in conjunction with ukulele lessons and my daughter loves it and is learning how to hone in on her skill. She travels to our house for the lessons which is also so helpful for us and she is very reasonably priced. We highly recommend Penelope and are very pleased with her knowledge base and teaching style.

Out of the blue, I decided to purchase a guitar (with absolutely no prior experience). I've already had 2 lessons with Reggie; his style of teaching, and patience has given me the confidence I need as a beginner. I look forward to learning a lot more from him, and would recommend him to anybody wanting to learn, or enhance their skills.

Nate was my son's saxophone instructor for over a year. He did a magnificent job, not only teaching him how to play the instrument, but instilling a love of music. Our inclusion into the local music scene through Nate gave my son a clear, long term picture of what he can do with his music after high school/college. My boy is a better musician for having taken lessons from Nate.

My daughter has been taking guitar lessons from Curt Brady since September. He came highly recommended from a friend whose son had taken lessons with Curt for years. My daughter likes working with him because he is patient with her and, as she says, does not "get all riled up". We feel that Curt is nurturing her musical abilities in a very positive way. We really appreciate that he is willing to come to our home for lessons; on top of that, he is very considerate in that he always calls if he gets stuck in traffic! I would definitely recommend Curt if you are considering taking guitar lessons.

We’ve only had one lesson so far, but Destiney was excellent with my 5 year old and easy to communicate with from the start. Best of all, her passion really shows and makes a lesson with her that much more fun and valuable.

First boxing lesson was great. If I won't flake with follow-ups, I may actually learn something.

I've been playing guitar for over 7 years now including live performances and weddings. I am extremely versed in various styles of music including both acoustic and electric rock, blues, country, jazz, and finger picking styles and would be a great asset to any beginner or novice students. I also have a degree in education from Old Dominion University and work wonderfully with both younger and older students.

My method is fairly orthodox -- I teach what is needed for a student to actually be able to play songs in just a few weeks. While we will learn the basic chord shapes and scales, I will also teach alternative tuning, many of which have much simpler chord shaping, enabling some popular songs to be learned even by the beginner.

I am a local and professional bass player, with 40 years of experience. I can help beginners how to start playing bass the right way. If you already play bass, take your playing to the next level. I service intermediate to advanced players. I can teach them to read music, improvise, and understand chord changes. The sky is the limit.

I can give the best of both worlds in my music lessons by combining an intuitive, ear training based approach with a strong foundation in music theory. My hope is to teach my students the skills they need to keep growing as musicians long after their lessons cease.

About

I provide a complete instruction for all string instruments, bowed and fretted. I also give a complete instruction in music theory. I work with live instrumental performance groups. Composition and arranging services are offered. Fees are $35.00 per half-hour lesson. You provide the materials. My goal is to provide each student with the necessary knowledge and skill set to enable them to perform either as a soloist in their home and perform as a member of an ensemble, such as a church, neighborhood bands, etc. I can get this done in a two-year period if the student is diligent with his/her practice routine.

About

I provide guitar lessons for beginners to intermediate, with an emphasis on inspirational music in the Kempsville area.
