Thumb tack put me in touch with a great guitar teacher nearby. Been thoroughly enjoying my experience. Jonathan is really excellent.
We are so very pleased with Mr. Brown. He's just an excellent teacher. My oldest daughter has shown an unbelievable improvement since she started taking bass lessons with him. My youngest son just started taking guitar lessons with him as well and even though he's not very talented, he is also making progress. I couldn't believe it, but now I believe it! I highly recommend Mr. Brown. He's very flexible, professional, and a great teacher. We can't wait to have out third kid for him.
It has been a joy working with Brandon! He is always on time and challenges my son, appropriately, with his guitar progress. Brandon is very warm and engaging, always keeping us parents update on how the sessions are going. We recommend Brandon!
Great teachers! Both of my kids learn from Steve Pae, one on guitar and the other on drums. They love having lessons with him. We can't wait until the next recital!!!
Josh is awesome! I learned how to play ode to joy my first lesson with him. He's fun and can teach you awesome penatonic scales. He makes playing guitar worth the calluses.
Rob is both cool and a great teacher. My 2 children (9 and 13) both looked forward to his lessons, and to tell you the truth, one of them never practiced, but he never made her feel bad and she still improved. My son who did practice was always motivated because Rob really got him interested, inspired and motivated and he became really good very quickly. I recommend him for children - and I even took a few lessons myself and found him to be fabulous - he's patient AND he knows just how to get your hands doing things you never thought they could do.

I have turned lessons with some kids into 6-8 year long mentoring relationships. Some have moved onto musics schools and Universities. I work with people from ages 7-61 currently. I have a 100% success rate with my students, but only when time and practice is regimented by the student . Studying and playing music for 30 years has taught me a lot. I base my lesson plans entirely ontbe individual I am working with . No 2 students of mine ever share the same lesson plan , unless requested by those individuals. Most of what I teach I learned by what “not to do” I have found that learning from past mistakes, in all fields of music, had made me very aware of what people should not do as well as areas of focus and strength.
Unlike alot of music teachers I don't just teach out of books. I spend a great deal of time planning your lesson before it actually takes place. This causes for a much better learning experience.

As a guitar teacher: Nontraditional teaching methods. I'll teach you what you want to learn instead of wasting your time with grueling regimens. I offer musical guidance As a performer: I'm using sounds from an old video game console to make technical dance music. Having a lights show or using a projector makes the performance more visually appealing.
