In March, Brennan Heating reached out to me by phone to schedule their annual HVAC maintenance. I took this opportunity to describe the problem I was having in December and asked them to send a technician who could troubleshoot it.However, this recent appointment fell victim to a bit of miscommunication. I let the person scheduling the appointment know that I needed help from someone who could troubleshoot my Carrier smart thermostat. I described the problem in detail. They gave me the name of the person they had scheduled for that visit. But the person who arrived was someone else, who happened to be unfamiliar with the thermostat and unable to operate it without help, so I didn't bother asking them to troubleshoot it. That said, they were able to fulfill the main reason for their visit (HVAC and water heater maintenance), though.I called to let them know that I still needed help with troubleshooting the smart thermostat, so they scheduled a follow-up appointment for the next day and gave me the name of the technician they chose for that follow-up appointment. Again the person who actually showed up was different, but that person was able to confidently troubleshoot (and solve) the problem.Key takeaways:(1) Don't expect Brennan Heating to reply to anything you post to their web site's Contact Us form.(2) If Brennan Heating sends a technician who can't solve all of your HVAC problems in one visit, they'll schedule follow-up visits until the problem is solved.Giving four stars because Brennan Heating did quickly schedule a follow up visit and did send someone who was able to complete the maintenance and fix the problem at no extra cost."See more
