From the first call they were committed to deliver the Middle Eastern inspired menu I was looking for and came through beautifully, from the dinner, to the cake and deserts to the service. The food was so delicious! We received many compliments from our guests and would hire them again. The menu Chef Paul designed reflected my vision of a unique meal inspired by Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine. Chef Paul and Stephanie were so easy to work with and flexible. Stephanie was an absolute joy to work with. Her professionalism and responsiveness put me at ease. I was able to trust her with every aspect of the catering. Tabitha made our 1 tier wedding cake and 180 cupcakes. I wanted to get a very custom design for the one tier as well as the cupcakes. She was very enthusiastic about my vision and I definitely think she delivered. We did the tasting before the wedding. This really helped us adjust our tastes for the cupcakes and wedding cake. I didn't get to see my cake until we did the cake cutting but it turned out great! I even turned the cake around to show off the gradient purple layers of cake. It was delicious too! The cupcakes turned out great, we got a lot of great comments on how delicious they were and how the frosting was on point! Tabitha did gradient purple colors of the frosting as well! She really embraced what I was hoping for! I don't know if I could have gotten exactly what I was envisioning from anyone else! I will definitely share pictures with her so that she can add them to her portfolio! Would highly recommend her to anyone.
The experience we all had with Bobby Greene was amazing from beginning to end. Throughout the entire process, he was very kind, accommodating, and, from what I hear, his food was divine. I would highly recommend him for any event. Frankly, if there were more stars, I would add them. But five will have to do. For my parents anniversary, I wanted to do something special. I ended up looking into private chefs and decided to put in a request to see what it would take to get this done. This option appealed to me as there is only one nice restaurant where my parents live and they go there every event. I wanted this to be something special for their 30th. Bobby Greene responded to my event request within hours with a bid and a very nice response on how he wanted to be a part of making their anniversary special. From that point forward, he personally helped me along the process and accommodated anything and everything I requested. I had never done anything like this before and had a lot of questions, all of which he answered readily. My mother was a bit picky when it came to the food, but he accommodated every request I had when putting the menu together. He was always very gracious and kind throughout the entire thing even when I thought I was being too pushy. He always made me feel welcome to ask questions and to make requests. I wasnt actually there for the experience, but I requested that my mother write a little excerpt about it so I could include in this review: Our youngest daughter surprised us with Bobby a private chef for our 30th anniversary. We found out when he showed up (we had the pre-warning of cleaning the house and wearing something nice). I felt very uncomfortable with the idea as we have an older home small kitchen and no dishwasher. But what was at first self-consciousness quickly gave way to Bobbys easygoing attitude. He made us feel at ease immediately with his warm, inviting personality. He let us set the ambiance. He could have stayed in the background for the romantic evening or be a part of it. He was so engaging though that we invited him into our evening. As he served each course, he explained what we were eating and how it was prepared. My husband and I met working in a restaurant 31 years prior so we were fascinated by the process. The food was delicious and I have to admit there were no leftovers! Though he is not a baker, he even made my favorite dessert a pineapple upside down cake and it was superb. My husband and I highlight recommend Bobby for any special occasion. He is truly talented; the food is prepared to perfection; and, he is very personable and engaging. We will always remember our 30th with great affection.
Sami is one of the greatest chefs I could say I've ever had the pleasures of helping her actually(watching) her cook and serve others with great passion in her dishes as well serving her customers I've also had the pleasure of trying pretty much all her dishes so I can't really tell witch was the best because they were to good to judge you would have to try it for your self but I can say they were the best dishes I've ever tasted and she had a restaurant I would be a regular she great just know will not be disappointed thank and god bless.

Chef David Boyd- Private Chef-Down to Earth Cuisine "Delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes"- On August 7th I hired Private Chef David Boyd to prepare an Italian Dinner for 10 in my home. (I had offered the "Italian Dinner for 8" as an auction item not knowing at the time who I would hire) He (and his lovely wife, also hired to assist him) arrived at 1pm to begin cooking for the 5:30pm event. Earlier in the week, we met to decide on the menu, appropriate tableware and wine/beverage pairings for the 5 course menu. We went with a Northern Italian theme featuring peaches because they were in season and seafood. I handled the purchase of the wine and cocktail ingredients but paid half of the per person food cost up front so that he could do all the grocery shopping which he did using local fish/meat stores and organically grown fruit and veggies from our area farmers market. He also arrived with all of his own knives and most utensils needed though he did use my mixing bowls and cookware. The entire meal was then prepared in our kitchen. Because he makes everything from scratch like croutons, mayonnaise, sugared garnish for the dessert etc. it is very time consuming, labor intensive and requires full use of your kitchen. He and his wife worked hard and fast for the 4.5 hours before guests arrived. They were conscientious and they cleaned and emptied the garbage etc. as they went. The result was delicious, organic, thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated dishes that my husband and I were proud to serve to our guests. I would suggest discussing the estimated prep time for individual menu items as well as the per person cost ahead of time. Chef David seems capable of working within any reasonable budget, but he does require a lot of prep time if you choose complex menu items so that factors into his hourly rate. I think the dinner cost me more than what guests paid at the auction but that's totally my fault for not being more clear about my budget and for suggesting such complex ideas like an appetizer of scallops served in some sea shells I had. All in all, it was a very impressive, well paced, 5 course meal, and my guests enjoyed hearing Chef David explain the details of each delicious course as it was served. It was so nice to be able to just relax and enjoy my guests rather than stress about the food and clean-up. A really fun experience! I recommend hiring Chef David Boyd of Down to Earth Cuisine for your next dinner party. - Suzy H.
Chef Anessa has been wonderful for our family! We both work full time, so having fresh, home cooked meals ready for us when we get home has been amazing. She comes once a week and always prepares a nice selection of entrees that are perfect for dinner and then I use any leftovers for lunches during the week, too. She partners with us to figure out the menu each week. I love that she brings us recommendations but also is willing to try some recipe suggestions I have. She asks for feedback and is very responsive to adjusting to your preferences. Our three kids have loved trying her dishes and we love that it's getting them to be more adventurous eaters. I LOVE Cashew Blanca--it's my go to for delicious, guilt-free, made-with-love-and-consciousness treats. I've made purchases for a wide range of circumstances, from personal enjoyment (love the single-slice available at the Tacoma Food Co-Op and Ice-Cream Social), parties (this was the hit dessert at my last Thanksgiving), and business events (Cashew Blanca catered the dessert for Samdhana-Karana Yoga's Silent Auction last year)! I buy Melody's single-slice vegan cheesecake when I want a luxurious treat that doesn't make me feel puffy (from dairy) or erratic (from cane sugar) or just frightened (from the list of ingredients). Plus I love that it's made locally--yum all around! Thank you, Melody!
We had an evening that far exceeded our expectations of fantastic food and friends in our own home thanks to Rose. From the meeting where she asked all the right questions about our guests ( dietary needs, menu choices, etc.) the level of participation we would like in the preparation of the meal, and other pertinent details that were sure to guarantee a memorable party for 13 of our friends and neighbors. We had a blast following her instructions as we helped prepare a meal that we enjoyed thoroughly and sat down as a group to enjoy. We would highly recommend this company to anybody who loves great food, learning a from a fun and fabulous chef, and an evening with a group of friends and/or family that will be a memory to savor.
