Latest Review: My husband and I both started piano lessons (beginner level) with Tim about six months ago. We had previously worked with another teacher who was a good pianist, but not a trained teacher. The difference is impressive. Tim is friendly, supportive, and encouraging, He has taught us how to practice, not just what to practice. He is an excellent coach, paying attention to details (that really make a difference), instead of accepting pieces that are generally okay. Although we aren't natural musicians, we are making steady progress, and having fun doing it.

About: My piano studio is located in Fircrest, WA. Lessons consist of theory, technique, sight reading, and a broad range of musical repertoire - jazz, classical, disney, movie themes, pop, rock, and more! My favorite aspect of teaching piano is seeing my student's musical progress & growth. I'm very excited for my students Christmas recital this December where they can showcase their hard work and talent!

Latest Review: We just started our daughter's lessons but Cayce is a well organized and professional who loves her craft. She has been very helpful in answering our questions and determining our short and long-term goals. Her website is very well done and a great aid in tracking our daughter's progress, lessons, and for communication.

Latest Review: Our 10 year daughter has been under Shireen's tutelage for almost two years, and is already becoming a fine pianist. She is also turning into a very good vocalist! Shireen has never been anything but positive, helpful, and understanding. She is always very thoughtful in the way she teaches. She explains everything, and why it is important, making it easy for the child to understand WHY. She expects the same courtesy, punctuality, and attendance from her students, that she herself gives 100% of the time. We couldn't be happier with the choice we have made for our daughter's piano and voice lessons. Highly recommend!!

Latest Review: JD Dorland Music has been a fantastic experience. I chose to start Piano Lessons in the middle of December which is already a very busy month and JD was very accommodating with dates and times. I am an adult with no experience in playing the Piano or reading music and my first lesson was a great experience. He is incredibly friendly and the environment was laid back and welcoming. JD provided me with the tools necessary to succeed outside of my lesson with a combination of book and online work. I truly felt like he set me up to be successful. You will not be disappointed by JD Dorland Music.

Latest Review: Shawn is a wonderful and patient piano teacher. My daughter had lessons as a younger child and needed a change as she moved beyond the beginner stage. She's been with Shawn for about 8 months and her playing has improved significantly. She enjoys practicing again and is motivated by his instruction. He's offering her just the right amount of challenge, creativity and encouragement. And this is a 12 year old I'm talking about (hello parents of tweeners and teenagers)! We also appreciate his highly organized website and timely communication. All around Shawn is a fantastic, solid professional who is passionate about music, seriously grounded in theory and very consistent in his instruction with youth. If you're considering music lessons with him, you will be lucky to get on his schedule.
