Very helpful in teaching calculus
Renjie and I worked together over the course of two months in preparation for a GRE test. We had long sessions (3 hours) each time, but Renjie was focused and prepared and all the breaks we took were on my account. I took two Statistics courses in university, but aside from this hadn't taken any math classes since high school, so I focused all of my hours with Renjie in math. He has all of the hard skills that a good teacher/tutor needs: he has a deep knowledge of math and used repertoire of teaching strategies to help me learn. The teaching and learning strategies Renjie shared with me in math make it so I'm confident in saying I know he has the same skills for verbal reasoning in the GRE (specially) or vocabulary more generally. More than this, Renjie is kind, understanding, friendly, and easy to connect with. Both Renjie and I had traveled and worked abroad for a number of years and so it was fun to share stories in between problem solving. I got accepted into my graduate program of choice, got a full scholarship and a stipend to be a Graduate Teaching Assistance. It was a pleasure working with Renjie and I would recommend him to any who have an interest in improving their scores on a variety on tests, or to improve their performance in school at all levels.
I had used Tom for my calculus 1 class and he was fantastic. He is really good at explaining the math in terms that actually make sense. Very nice guy and easy to get along with. He has a lot of patience which was nice, because calc made no sense at all to me before I started going to him. Thanks Tom!!!
Susan has tutored my high school students in Pre Calculus thru AP Calculus for several years. She is well versed in the subject matter, and has excellent teaching skills. She is very friendly, patient and encouraging- especially when the problems get overwhelming. Susan is great at explaining the problems and working through them in a way that they understand. Susan is genuine with her concern for her students to succeed and make the grade!
I just started with Judy having her tutor me in College Level Business Calculus. She has already helped me understand concepts that not even teachers have been able to help me with by simplifying problems for me to better understand. She doesn't assume or expect me to know anything, and has done a great job explaining problems and working through homework with me. Definitely will continue to work with her.
Evelina has been my Polish tutor for two years, and we do both in person and virtual lessons. She is very patient and methodical and I consider her to be a great teacher! I have learned (and continue to learn) so much from her. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I have been a competitive swimmer for years, and I love to help people learn to swim -- a necessary and potentially lifesaving skill. I will also provide math or SAT tutoring.
I have been playing guitar for nearly ten years. I am young and entirely self-taught, so I know exactly what it takes to learn when you're just starting out!
Because unlike most, I actually USE mathematics to solve real world problems on the job. I have an unusual ability to get people to understand and appreciate mathematics by using simple language and interesting examples drawn from the engineering profession.
I'm a math and science tutor for K-12. I provide homework help and ACT and GED preparation. I work with children and adults. I offer small classes and workshops in cooking, parenting skills and babysitting. I'm a licensed educator at WDPI with 15 years of experience.
I know what it takes to be a great teacher because I came from a background that I had to learn everything the hard way and always felt the why don't people be more patient and explain things better or ask me how I learn best. I tutored with math and chess for multiple years, and 90 percent of it, I did for free as a way to giving back what God has blessed me with. I am also certified as a tutor in the state of Wisconsin.
