I've been taking online guitar lessons on and off for years and Shawn is by far the best teacher I've had. Shawn is a great listener, has endless knowledge, and can tailor your lessons to any style of music you want to learn.
Paul Grether is a very talented musician and teacher and a great person. He is wonderful with kids. He is sweet, smart, motivational, caring and funny. My 9 year old son loves him and loves his guitar lessons. He gave up tennis to have two guitar lessons a week. Paul is so affordable to top it off that we are able to afford two one hour lessons a week. I am thrilled to pieces. Anyone would be lucky to have guitar lessons with Paul.
Chuck played at a house concert we hosted in the BloomBox House Concert series. He accompanied Heather Waters on guitar. It was a fabulous experience and every single one of the 50 people in attendance raved about it (and still do!). We loved it so much we invited him to play at two other venues where we hosted and had much bigger audiences. Chuck did a great job of playing various styles of guitar and knowing how to highlight the vocalist as well as when to pick it up on the guitar. He also had a great rapport with the audience! I'd highly recommend having Chuck perform for a variety of shows.
Great vocals and guitar! Song selections are right on for any crowd. They show up early and start on time. They interact with the crowd, and provide a great musical experience!
Silo is absolutely a great guitar instructor. He is always willing to work with our busy schedule and is very flexible. Silo also is teaching my son about music theory, along with reading music and the basics of learning how to play. My son finds his instruction easy to follow. He is always enthusiastic to teach which is so refreshing and just what my son needs. My son is even now teaching his dad a little guitar. Keaton also entertained the whole family at Christmas with a few holiday tunes he learned. So grateful to such a hands on teacher. Silo is top notch, personable and professional guitar teacher. I would highly recommend and have everyone interested in learning guitar that he's the best.
Brian was very patience and extremely helpful with setting us up with a piano teacher. We just finished our first lesson with our kids and Naomi is great! She seems very knowledgeable with piano. My kids were able to warm up to her quickly and that's not easy process. We will definitely be continuing our lessons!
Jimmy was once my wedding DJ. He is very friendly and nice. In the beginning, I actually worried about this because we had some many different things, such as live band, PowerPoint music, etc... for our wedding, but everything was very smooth. Everyone could hear the music/instrument clearly. Also, we will have our baby shower event coming up in December. Jimmy will be our event sound man again. I recommended him to some of my friends and they all love it.
Quinn's Lessons was fun for my little kids. He is always on time and very passionate.
Michael was so great at our New Year's Eve party. He was extremely accommodating and did his best to play any and all requests. He is a very talented musician and was a great addition to our party. We will definitely use him in the future. Thanks so much!!
Very professional. He is not only a great guitar player, but also a brilliant composer/arranger. This helps when you want to understand a bit more than just how to play a song. Unlike most people, this guy is dedicated to music and does it full time.
When i started working for angela and huan at thier restaurant MY PLACE, i told them about my desire to play guitar. Desire was all i had. i didnt have ANY knowledge about a guitar let alone alot of money. Anglea would meet me early before work and we started at square one. Listening to her and huan play would inspire and motivate me. its mind blowing how awesome they are! they made it really easy for me to learn with the patience they had for me. Not only did they teach me to play, but taught me to READ music. I can follow along in song books and play alot of songs! thier website www.guitarelements.com is a great tool i use for learning new cords or just reviewing a lesson. Thank you Angela and Huan for the love you put into my lessons and the continued desire to play in my heart!
I am a long-time pro guitarist who believes that most other guitar teachers charge too much for too little. The going rate here is between $15-22 per half hour; my rate is $25 per hour. My basic package is 4 lessons for $100 to be taken within 4 weeks, paid in cash at the beginning of the first lesson, though larger packages may be purchased. A 24-hour notice is required to reschedule a lesson by the student. If I am unable to teach the lesson (which almost never occurs), the student has the option of rescheduling it or deducting $25 from the next package purchased. It is preferred that the student take their lessons on an acoustic guitar.
I would highly recommend Aaron!
I love to teach the basics of guitar, including, but not limited to, knowing the instrument, how to tune the instrument, and tune by ear if capable. I will teach further, if the progress and drive are there, like certain songs you might want to learn.
I am a Bakersfield based guitar player. I will help beginners and intermediate guitarist with chords and help them understand what they are playing.
After attending music school in Los Angeles, I moved back to Bakersfield. I have a lot of free time so why not teach what I love to do!
What I do is very basic and very simple. I create a bond with a student, and I find out what kind of music they are really in to. I start with the basics of teaching my students the knowledge of their guitar, so not only will they be able to play it, but they will be able to service it. Then, I teach them basic chords, scales, and pentatonic scales. Then, I move on to teach them how to read and write tabs, and once they have learned their rhythm and picking skills, I can even teach them to convert chords to notes on a piano. I can teach them to convert their material from their guitar to a bass. I have a passion for music and opening eyes up to it. I love to teach, and I have a great teaching reputation. I simply charge $30.00 for a 90 minute lesson, and the first lesson is free so that I can get to know my student.
I love what I do and love teaching others what I love doing! A spirit of quality and excellence is my distiguishing factor, done with fun and of course a smile! An attitude of graditude will take you farther than you can imagine!
I know a lot about guitars, and I have seven years of experience. I have played as a jazz guitarist for four years, and I know a lot of theory.
I am currently teaching guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. Lessons range from: * Beginning - learn to read music notation and applying what you learn to the fretboard * Intermediate - learn chords, scales, and finger positions * Advanced - learn arpeggios, modes, fingerpicking styles, solo structure/riffs, etc. All lessons are done at California Keyboards in my music studio. Parents are invited to sit in and attend the class with their student, if they prefer.
Learn compositional tools used to create some of the finest, crafted music for the steel string acoustic guitar. Play highly effective flamenco-like percussion and deftly reflective melodies and nimble picking and increase your technical dexterity. People's desire for something new and interesting to listen to is increasing more and more. While technically brilliant, this guitar course is not just out to impress. Our goal is to make you a well-rounded guitar player.
Here is a fresh take on learning to hear your inner song, so grab your guitar, warm up those fingers and bring a great attitude. James
I teach guitar to students at the beginning to intermediate level of playing depending on what he/she wants to play. I have a broad range of genres to cover. Contact me for details!
I am teaching beginning guitar and bass guitar from starting to intermediate to all ages. I teach beyond basic chords, and I teach popular songs in which the students like and are familiar with.
I was classically trained on piano spending 3 years at the Paris Conservatory. At age 14 I fell in love with rock n roll and picked up the guitar, and never looked back. Music is pure. Learning is not only up to the teacher but also the student. If my student has passion and discipline, we will do great things together. I have a vast knowledge about music, composition, arrangement and songwriting...and playing different styles. Remember that an instrument is just that: An Instrument. The individual talent, focus, self discipline belongs to the student. Talent is a big one too and let's not forget the spirit of music.
I play guitar, I'm good at it, and I would like to show beginners what I know. I am passionate on what I do, and I would love to motivate others and inspire them.
