Jose is very responsive and has great service, along with him being a great chef of course! He traveled to my parents house for us to do a tasting for our wedding and we were blown away. It was amazing. We got so many compliments from our friends and family about how good the food was. With that being said I have a couple nitpicky complaints for constructive feedback: The plates and silverware were not what we had originally discussed at the tasting. They were supposed to be the nice plastic that looked real and we got clear which looked cheesy to us. It could have had to do with the fact that we did the tasting about a year in advance and things could have been forgotten or overlooked but the change was never communicated to us. Also, my husband requested to have a spicy BBQ sauce during our tasting and the BBQ sauce was on the side at that time. We discussed having spicy and mild options. I was very excited for the pulled pork at the wedding but it had spicy BBQ sauce all over it! I thought it was going to be on the side, like it was during the tasting. It was so spicy that I couldn't even eat it. :( One of our aunts was not able to eat any of the meat because it was "too peppery" but that was the only other complaint that we got. Other than that everyone loved it. Everything was great and I would still highly recommend Mr. WorldWide Catering, it just wasn't quite perfect for my event.
Everything was delicious and just kept getting better as each course was served. What made the evening even better was chef Lilian’s great personality.
We have had personal chefs in the past and all were good experiences, but Shawna was a cut above. The experience that she provided was exemplary in every facet. Shawna was personable, prepared, and her food was exquisite. She will be called upon in the future to cater any event we may have. We give her our highest recommendation.
I have to qualify this review first by saying I have worked as a professional cook and have owned a catering business. So I have an eye for and know what works and what doesn't, what can be prepped beforehand without sacrificing quality, and what can be done on sight and off-site with the aim of making sure everything is properly expedited and comes out on time. When I arrived the table was set up nicely set up and decorated. However, we had previously informed Chef that we were going to be 13 and we would like two tables, as some people are uncomfortable with sitting at a table of 13 people. So we had to ask Chef to please separate the two tables. When Bridgette came the day before, my wife mentioned she wanted a table of 6 and one of 7, not two tables pushed together to make 13. There were also no cloth napkins, but paper napkins. I guess assuming that a request for "linens" did not include cloth napkins, only tablecloths. But I digress. Even though this was done in our home where we are well equipped, I still expect anyone coming to prepare food to come fully equipped to meet their needs without having to use the home equipment. This was not the case, as Chef used our Kitchenaid, tongs, and other items. As well, they did not have a serving platter for one of the hors'd'oeuvres. Furthermore, they had to use some of our silverware because they did not bring everything needed (spoons, forks). There were steak knives on the table when we were eating fish, and no other knives. I had no problem with this because, of course, I wanted the event to go smoothly. But other clients might not have been as flexible. Finally, they used all my kitchen towels and had them all wet, from I don't know what- but it's easy enough to bring your own hand towels. As well, because we used the plates on the table for hors'd'ouevres, they had to wash and prepare again for salad plates, as they had expected the hors'd'oeuvres to simply be finger food. Nonetheless, the hors'd'oeuvres-asparagus with prosciutto and chicken bites, or whatever they might have been-still require plates. This delayed serving. More forethought should have been given to how this was all going to go down. Personally, I would have brought the salad all prepped. Because it wasn't prepped, it meant a longer serving delay. The server didn't know the difference between wine and water glasses-some basic protocol needed. The food was excellent and I had several very positive compliments from the guests, this is where they shined, and it was served hot and fresh like it should be. We had a delicious shaved fennel salad with parmesan, and a main course of Blackened Sea Bass with a succotash and roasted potatoes. That is the beauty of preparing on-site. I say this with the caveat, as mentioned earlier, that a few things could have been prepped beforehand without sacrificing quality. This would have allowed the service to flow more quickly and not have such long delays between dishes. As Chef prepared the chocolate mousse on site, some people had to leave before dessert since it took well over 45 minutes between our main course and dessert. While we had agreed that I would supply the chocolate, it I had known it was going to take chef so long to prepare it, I would have suggested it be made beforehand. If I had done this lunch, I would have brought the mousse pre-made. They used up my whole bag of ice too-I would have brought ice. Finally, food left over was taken away and not left with us. I asked the server I f she was going to leave the food to me as she was walking out and she laughed uncomfortably and said no. My assumption is that the client paid for the food, they should get any leftovers. I give Kudos to the Chef for excellent food, but the service was uncomfortably slow and everyone noticed. Finally, the server was inexperienced. Overall, organization and attention to details were lacking. To end on a positive note, they did an excellent job leaving the kitchen just as the found it and were friendly and professional despite the hiccups mentioned. I didn't have to worry about anything. If you are looking for good food, Chef Mumsie does a great job. But please ask that they send you experienced servers, and make sure to point out every possible detail that you can think of, because in my experience, they did not have a checklist or form to check off what you do or don't need for an event.
I hired Rich for a small event at my house yesterday. Before the party, Rich was always answering my phone calls and texts with any question or concerns I had. The day of the party he did an EXCELLENT job bartending and walking around to make sure everyones glasses we full! He even went to the extent to help entertain my 2 year old during dinner time and helped the chef move empty dishes! He was truly amazing and a great price and i will definitely use him again!
Lavonne did such an awesome job! We required a large number of appetizers for our group and she really came through. What a beautiful and delicious feast she put on for us. All our attendees were pleased with the different dishes she created. Just when we thought the best dish had been created, here came Lavonne with yet another great dish! Several of our attendees have a Gluten Free diet and Lavonne was able to create GF versions of several of appetizers - keeping everyone in the group happy. Thank you for a wonderful evening of great food and hard work! I know we asked for a lot, and you rose to the occasion. I highly recommend Lavonne, she put her heart and soul into our event - it was obvious in the creations she made for us.
Fantastic meal, way exceeded expectations and was much more affordable than other private chefs we contacted. Would highly recommend to anyone hosting a dinner!! Originally we looked at making a group dinner reservation to dine out in Palm Springs for a birthday party, having Cucina Migrante come to our vacation rental made for a more relaxing and unforgettable dining experience. Francesco and Adisa are true pros!
I am beyond grateful to Thumbtack for connecting me to Chef Keith Prante and his team at Hautè Productions Events and Catering to cater my mom's 80th birthday celebration. They are absolutely A-MAZING! Chef Prante was one of two chefs who responded to my request via Thumbtack, and I also received a personal referral. Neither of the other caterers offered ANYWHERE NEAR the quality, selections, variety and value that Hautè offered at my price point. We had our tasting today, and it absolutely sealed the deal! Everything was delicious and the presentation was outstanding. I highly recommend Hautè Productions to any potential customer who appreciates excellence, accommodation and genuine customer service.
Chef Leslie Ann made an AMAZING variety of gorgeously plated scrumptious food for a friend's baby shower. Everyone raved about the food! Chef Leslie Ann was professional, creative, and accommodating. I will definitely ask her to cater my future events!
We hired Chris after tasting her cooking at our friend's dinner party where she was the chef. She cooked dinner for us off & on during the week when our schedules got to be too much. This was during the early years of parenting and making dinner after being at work just didn't fit in my schedule. We loved having her in our home and her food was always so delicious and nurturing! I loved her help it freed up about 8 hours a week for me to spend time with the kids and or relaxing as a family. Dinner time was so enjoyable since I wasn't the one making it or cleaning up. I think she is a fine chef with a very special touch. We went to a Dinner party last summer where she was the cook...her roasted chicken w/ pasta and pesto was divine! Tracy
Chef Stevan Novoa was fantastic! He was prompt to respond to my messages, he worked with us on pricing, he arrived on time with exactly what we discussed for our office lunch, and the food was DELICIOUS! Our only regret was not ordering more. Thank you!

We had the most wonderful experience this summer working Valerie. There are not enough adjectives to describe how delicious, innovative, healthy, and diverse her menu is. Our family hired Valerie for our summer in Laguna Beach. Each week she prepared six unique delicious, fresh, nutritious mouth watering dishes. As New Yorkers we are often hard to please and having Valerie as a chef made us feel as we were dining at our favorite restaurants in New York City. She and I would select the dishes for the week, they would range from Mediterranean to Spanish to French to Chinese to Japanese, there wasn't a cuisine Valerie couldn't cook and each was equally delicious. Also, the quantity and ingredients Valerie used allowed us to devour each meal and not gain an ounce. She was open, easy to talk to, enjoyed collaborating on menu options, and she is an absolute delight to be around. She was professional, neat, upbeat, insightful, and a gem. It truly made our summer and we cannot wait to return to Laguna Beach and work with her next summer.
You can truly taste the love Chef John puts in his food. The smoked brisket he served was one of the best things I have ever had in my life! He also makes all his sauces with peppers he grows in his garden! You can't get fresher than that.
Just finished devouring another amazing meal from chef Steven. I've been using the service for a few weeks now and it's seriously changed my life! I used to spent a ton of money going out to eat 3 times a day, eating food that was more expensive and not as good. I've tried other services but most of their food is comparable to a cafeteria lunch. Some barely edible. But chef Steven's food tastes like it was prepared at a 5 star restaurant. For the quality and convenience, he can't be beat!
Chef Pierre was a complete “success” in my mom’s words. He prepared a wonderful dinner for my Mom and Dad and their friends on their 52nd anniversary. He was on time and they said everything was delicious. Chef Pierre worked with me on the East Coast while he was on the West Coast. He answered all of my questions and was patient with me. Jory came to our home to prepare a dinner for 10 guests. Our house staff was delighted by his ability to keep the kitchen clean while preparing for service. Since I run a food service company myself, this alone is laudable and the sign of a true chef. He prepared hor d'oeuvres, appetizers, three entreés, and served the crepe cake we brought in from Lady M Bakery. Afterwards, he offered coffee service while service wound down. The quality of the food was superb on all counts, and many of our guests asked for seconds and still left their plates empty. Mediterranean dishes of fennel branzino, victorian lamb, and gardenherbed lemon chicken were the highlights of the night. During service, our guests were shocked to see the double doors be drawn open and to find a spotless kitchen in between each course. Our guests are very well-to-do in the fashion industry. Jory is young and very well rounded personally—service was socially and culinarily seamless. He was even welcoming when our guests pillaged the leftovers in the kitchen throughout the night. My wife and I will book him to cook parties in the future and you should too.
We hired Unique Luxury Catering to prepare a family dinner for 8 for my wife's birthday on our patio at Pelican Hill.Chef Brad prepared a fabulous meal topped off by a scratch made carrot cake that was divine.The reduction sauce with vanilla bean added was incredible to plate everything in. This was a great meal,for a great celebration in a great setting. Unique will deliver a great experience for whatever need your occasion requires.Thanks Steve for providing a great experience !
Chef Andrew Selz was a pleasure to work with. His charismatic personality, attention to detail, creativity and flare in the kitchen made for an unforgettable evening. His creations far surpassed our expectations, both in taste and presentation, and the effort he put into making sure the evening was perfect, down to the the linen cloth was exceptional.
