Super responsive and super great guy. His technician was delayed in a fender bender on the way to my tuning appointment, so Alex himself jumped in the car and came to my home (all the way from El Cajon to Carlsbad!). My piano sounds great - thank you. I will use you again!

Before taking piano lessons with Rebecca, my only experience with musical instruction was through elementary and junior high. Rebecca's training and personal dedication to music makes her an extraordinary teacher. We use the Suzuki books, which I love because that's what I used for violin and flute. She supplements those favorites with really nice adult-learning-centered books on theory. As an adult learner, this was helpful, because I could read through these brief books, but then had the terminology to look up my questions online or know what to ask in lessons. The lessons are so fun and well organized. We work on the songs in the books (which included CDs of the songs so you can hear what the song might sound like if you practice enough) and she would help me with songs I brought in too. Rebecca is so kind, and is great with my five-year-old too. Really, Rebecca is an excellent music instructor. Her academic background, many years of actually playing piano and singing, knowledge of the music available and books, and variety of students -- all make her a versatile teacher, capable of helping anyone learn to the play the piano in whatever style they are interested in. Plus, she is an incredible person. I look forward to piano lessons with her.

I just started working with Michael and I already feel more confident and have more fun playing the guitar than I had in almost a year. His immense love and knowledge of music is astounding and he translates that into lessons that make me excited to learn more. He is very approachable, highly responsive and extremely flexible. I cannot recommend Michael enough to begin or continue your musical education!

I had played guitar a bit or so I thought. John helped me correct some bad techniques I had which prevented me from playing guitar better. As a result, I began playing cleaner and more accurately. He took my playing to a whole new level that is more interesting and gave me a long term practice regime that I was able to use to continually improve. I would highly recommend him as a guitar teacher to those at any level!!!!

I recruited Flavia to play some special music for my secret marriage proposal event. I had not met Flavia prior to this event, but she came highly recommended through the SDSU Music Department faculty. She was so excited to be a part of my event and prepared several of my requested special songs. Flavia was very personable and willing to accommodate our needs (played for us "privately" at a wine-tasting bar then again during a celebratory dinner with family and guests). The music was a highlight and made the evening very special and memorable. I highly recommend Flavia for any of your music needs!

Daniel was my son's cello and guitar teacher for several years. He is unbelievably talented, sensitive to each child's needs in the short and long term, and my son always both enjoyed and learned a lot from his sessions. I recommend Daniel Plane enthusiastically and unreservedly.

I am a professional musician already, I play for the Navy Band Southwest. I am interested in taking some regular or semi-regular lessons to improve and continue my growth and learning. Currently I am interested in learning bop phrasing and/or chicken pickin. I realize how different those styles are, and would be equally interested in both or either, even if possibly taught by different teachers. My jazz knowledge is fairly substantial, but for country, chicken pickin, I have only recently started getting in to this style. Thank you for your time and consideration.
