On 12-17-15, the Employees' Union of the State Bar of California hired Chef Marcel for our Holiday Luncheon. Chef Marcel and his staff came on time, set up quickly, and were very professional. The food was delicious and they were able to serve over 100 employees in less than an hour, and clean up and pack up quickly. Our luncheon was a huge success! I have received nothing but positive comments from my Union members. I highly recommend Chef Marcel and we will definitely use his services again! I hired Haute Productions for a private cooking class for a bachelor party event, and we had the best time. Keith was an awesome teacher and host, he made the experience wonderful. Everyone had a blast and it was the best part of the entire weekend. Not to mention the fact that the food was awesome! I would highly recommend using Haute Productions for any event you may have.

"I have been trying to get Ed Masciana to teach for ages so that I can take his classes. He is a marvelous cook (chef), teacher, who in addition to knowing Italian food and cooking techniques, has an extensive knowledge of other cuisines---American, French--and the chemistry of food/cooking. I was lucky enough to have Ed teach me the essentials of stock making---fish, chicken, beef and then, how to use the results to make marvelous (the best I ever had and not the usual tomato heavy) cioppino. This lesson taught me how incorporating home made stock elevated whatever soups, braises, etc I would attempt. He also showed me sautéing techniques, imparting a thoughtful approach to sautéing vegetables (and meat/fish as well) based on their density and structure. (I'm still learning, but this was an invaluable lesson.) Ed is a great teacher. He is easy to learn from. He's considerate, imparts skills naturally, with a good sense of humor, so one learns without feeling intimidated. As far as the "being on time" question, that does not even come into play. He's a real teacher with professional standards. He's there to teach when this is called for.

I hired Gil to cater a small wedding reception dinner for 20 people at a friend's home in Menifee. From beginning to end, he was a pleasure to work with: His food presentation was beautiful and delicious, he gave an accurate idea of available food options, and then, in every correspondence, Gil was quick to respond with availability, pricing, and other details. He and his staff kept an attentive eye on us, helping keep our glasses full and ensuring good pacing between courses. He left the kitchen clean and organized and was a calm and friendly presence throughout the meal. I'm so glad I thought to look around for a home chef as an alternative to dining out after my wedding--it made for a much more memorable, intimate, and stress-free experience than going out.
Wow. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this catering company. I had to move the date of my event up a few weeks and EPN accommodated me 100%. They were easy to work with, showed up on time, and cooked an amazing meal for my party. My guests were pleased at the quality of the food. EPN brought a grill set up to the party and cooked the food at the location for everyone to see. Food was great. I did not have to worry about the food aspect of the party once they arrived. My husband and I practice a vegan diet. We both love Vegan Paella which is hard to find in vegetarian and Spanish restaurants here and abroad. When I found out that Sabrina combines both Vegan and Spanish Cuisines, I immediately scheduled a culinary class with her. Prior to her arrival we discussed what type of rice, vegetables and spices I should have on hand. Sabrina accompanied me to the Spanish store to purchase the Paella pan as well. Within the first few minutes of ingredients sautéing in the pan, my olfactory and visual senses were awakened with a jolt! The smell and look of the creation in progress got better as the prep continued. I wanted to taste a little bit quite often and had to sneak a spoon into the pan like a sleuth intruder. Sabrina was very patient answering all my questions and injected humor into the class. We laughed and it was a joyous experience all around. As she explained Its all in the Soffrito. The Paella was the best Ive ever eaten and feel confident that I can make it myself. I highly recommend Sabrinas cooking class for anyone who has a hankering for Spanish food.
Had my first at-home lesson today. Michelle is a kind, polite, well-humored chef who teaches well. The meal we prepared together was simply delicious. Didn't know I had it in me but Michelle did! Salivating in anticipation of my next cooking lesson with her next week.
Teresa took time to understand my needs and what I wanted to get out of my experience with her. She also spent a lot of time personalizing our day together and being thoughtful about how to schedule and plan it all out so that I got the most out of it. I learned a ton of tips since we went through the entire process, from picking out my ingredients through preparation. Teresa was willing to answer any question (no matter how silly) I had along the process and adjust to any changes I requested. Teresa is really knowledgable and experienced, as was evident throughout my time with her. I would 100%, no doubt, hire Teresa for many more cooking experiences/classes in the future. I definitely feel more confident in the kitchen after spending a day with her.
