Arisel was very responsive to my calls and professional. He arrived on time and was very knowledgable. We had a emergency roof leak during the rainy season. I reached out to him through Thumbtack and he came out the next day on very short notice to address the issue. I would definitely recommend his services and would hire him again.

I was in a time crunch, and needed a falling fence repaired asap. Matt responded quickly to my initial request, as well as every subsequent email/text. We scheduled a visit the next morning, where he inspected the damage, and described a couple of options for the repair. That same evening, he sent us a quote with a reasonable and competitive price, and luckily was able to squeeze us into his schedule, despite only a couple days notice. The first day of the job, Matt and his team showed up on time, and got straight to work tearing out our old, rotting fence. Their work was clean and tidy, and they even made the extra effort to accommodate us in removing all of the debris that day, as we were scheduled to have photos of the yard taken. They returned the next morning to construct a beautiful, new fence, built to the highest standards. Afterwards, they cleaned up, ensured our yard was returned to it's original condition, and even helped us out by taking some extra yard compost with them, which had been left behind by the city. In the past, my experience w/ other contractors in general had been less than positive. Cost, communication, and especially workmanship on several jobs had become such a concern, that recently, I have been simply attempting most projects myself, if at all possible. My experience with Matthew Kelly Construction has been a breath of fresh air compared to these other interactions. Throughout the entire job, he and his team were incredibly considerate, accommodating, and some of the friendliest people I have ever worked with. Not only would I hire Matt again in a heartbeat, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality carpentry/construction work.

One of our doors was sticking to the point of non-operational due to expansion from the recent rain storms. Fred came in with a professional attitude and equipment. Put the door and saw horses and then planed the doors smooth. Door now works like a charm once again without much cost. Did a great job of cleaning up the mess as well. Would use Fred again in a second and would highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks again Fred!

We would like to thank Christopher Stein for an amazing job he did to fix our redwood balcony that was aged and water damaged. Impeccable workmanship with precision and extreme attention to details. We can not say enough of the quality of his work!! Christopher is a true professional! He finished the project on time and extremely reasonable quoting all materials needed in detail. He was very clear and communicated all aspects prior the start of the project. We highly highly recommend Mr. Stein and are looking forward to working with him in the future. Fardin and Ali

Recently had some water damage in my master bathroom and we didn't know how bad the damage was. I called in South Bay builders to come give me a estimate and some options we had for fixing the bathroom. I decided to go with this company because they were knowledgeable, professional, communicative skills were perfect and it was a good vibe. I now have a brand new bathroom that I enjoy every day in the work quality is second to none I am very pleased with their work and my family and I are very happy with the finished product. I would not hesitate to hire this company and I already scheduled them to do my hall bath and my guest bathroom. Thank you South Bay builders for your hard work and a wonderful experience. 😃

I was offered a 2-hour block cleaning with 3 people. The quality of the work is decent. They did what I asked them to do. They didn't clean very thoroughly, but I guess that happens for all cleaning services. What I kind of don't like is that one of the 3 ladies left after about 1 hour. Seems like she is only responsible for cleaning all 3 toilets, so she just quietly left after that. The other 2 ladies didn't extend their hours so I got 5 man-hours instead of 6.

Economy home repair saved my home from serious damage. I could see the major storm coming and I had a serious leak. I put in a request to Thumbtack and Kris was the only response. It was a small caulking job no one else would take the time with. But he and his crew were on time, efficient, and reasonable. And this morning after raining hard all night there were NO leaks! They cared more about my problem than their profit. Not found in this industry very often. A big Thanks for caring.

Lifetime Remodeling

We hired Lifetime Remodeling in the summer of 2017 to do a first floor addition to our home in Millbrae. The project involved adding 400 square feet to our house, which included expanding the living room and adding a new bedroom and a new bathroom. It was wonderful working with Sam and his team at every step of the way. Their bid was very competitive compared to the many others I got, and the estimated time for completion (about four months) was much shorter than most of the other quotes. Lifetime's responsive customer service and attention to detail made our lives so much easier. Here are just a few examples of things they did to minimize our stress. When strong winds blew the construction fence over during off hours, they came out here quickly to get it back up and weigh it down with sandbags. When it came time to block off the parts of the house being demolished, they helped us move furniture and cover it carefully so that it would not get damaged or dirty during construction. When they needed to move the wiring for our internet access, they made sure to reconnect it promptly. The temporary wall they built was very sturdy and effective at blocking out dust, so we had no problem continuing to live in the house throughout the construction. Sam also closely inspected all the work and often caught adjustments to be made that I did not notice. For example, even though the interior painting looked fine to me, Sam decided that he wanted another coat. When we did point out other things that needed adjusting, such as leveling out certain fixtures, the team promptly fixed them. When I asked for a different design for our recessed lighting at the last minute, even after some of them had already been installed, Sam accommodated the request. Sam checked in with me often, so I always felt well informed about the next steps coming up and what I needed to plan for. This was awesome because I learned that it can be agonizing to pick out tiles, hardwood, hardware, etc. for a project like this, especially for someone like me doing it for the first time. It was also helpful to have Sam's recommendations for suppliers for the finishes and fixtures. We were really impressed that Lifetime finished the project pretty much right on schedule and with absolutely no cost overruns. To make this happen, most days, Lifetime had a team of two to four workers here by 8 a.m., and they worked steadily for the entire day. They also often worked on weekends. After Lifetime finished the addition to the house, we ended up also hiring them to do landscaping for our front yard and replacing our concrete driveway with paver stones. They also did a great job on this, and we are so happy with and amazed by how our house looks now. Remodeling inevitably involves many hard decisions and a lot of time, energy, and money invested by the homeowner! The last thing you need is a contractor who adds unnecessary stress, yet it seemed like everyone I talked to had horror stories about their contractors. We are so grateful that Sam and Lifetime made it a wonderful experience for us.

We had a 30' high canary palm in a corner of our yard that had to go. We shopped around, talked to at least a half-dozen arborists and got quotes. In the end, A&J gave us the best deal and superior service. The tree came down with no damage to other plants and trees in our yard, the stump was ground, and all waste was hauled away. The foreman, German, and his crew were all super professional, courteous, respectful, and they had serious gear and tools to get the job done. German even introduced me to the edible palm heart that can be found at the top of this type of palm tree. At a later date they even returned, as promised, with a load of chips to use as mulch. This is a professional outfit with the right knowledge, experience, and tools. I totally recommend these guys and would definitely hire them again.

My laundry room wall had water damage due to what we thought was a malfunctioning washing machine. Thanks to Joe and Sam (who were both very friendly and informative), they helped figure out that it was actually faulty piping and not the machine, thus saving us hundreds of dollars in repair/replacement cost. The walls still needed to be worked on and the job itself was done quickly and efficiently. It even ended up being lower than the quoted cost! Nina, my main point of contact was also great. Very responsive and quick to help. Would highly recommend ARC!

We spoke to a lot of contractors before we picked Extra Care and Rob was by far the most organized and knowledgeable while also being incredibly responsive and a good communicator. We had a couple doors replaced and some other things sealed up to keep the rain out and after a few rain storms it's all dry over here! Very pleased with the quality of work overall.

Shaz was hired by my next door neighbor to completely renovate the exterior of their house. The whole work crew were always courteous and Shaz went out of his way to ensure I was happy with the work and any impact on my property. As time went by I could see how much care and attention Shaz puts into his projects so I didn't hesitate to hire him to replace some damaged siding on my property. All of the work was been carried out to the very highest standard and I would definitely use Shaz Construction again.* Thanks for everything Shaz, I'll miss you guys! And thanks for all the plant advice ;-) I'll let you know when we are in a position to tackle our rotten siding issue. Best wishes, Ian & Jo.
