I highly recommend Megan for anyone looking to improve their fitness. Megan's personal training had a major impact in my life. I took yoga lessons for her for 6 months. Through her instruction I was able to balance my mind, body and soul. I also literally improved my balance skills which helps out on my favorite activity...downhill longboarding. Megan is extremely dedicated to and knowledgeable about personal training and fitness.
Allison is an exceptional yoga instructor! She is excellent at teaching any level student but especially great with beginners or people who think they are inflexible. She has a great understanding of the body and gives great alignment cues as well. I am also a yoga instructor and Allison is the first person I call to substitute my classes. She always does an excellent job!
Johanna has helped me throughout my weight loss journey. I've had the pleasure of doing one-on-one training sessions, group training sessions, zumba, and yoga with Johanna. Marjorie is, hands-down, the best "teacher" I've ever had. The reality is that to call her "teacher" wouldn't be enough. I came across Marjorie six years ago, when her class was recommended to me by another instructor, and I attended her class at then-Vira Yoga in NYC. I was blown away by everything about Marjorie: her knowledge of the whole body and of practicing yoga safely is above and beyond anyone I've ever met. I am a former soccer player with a history of chronic pain, and always shied away from regular yoga. Marjorie became my weekly ritual-I begin attending her Sunday 4 PM class at World Yoga Center whenever I could, and even sometimes went during lunch to her weekday classes. The modifications that she teaches are unlike any instructor I've ever met. She gently helps you find a way to be in every pose, commands the class with great warmth while also offering to help each student and pay attention to their alignment, and is available for consultation outside of class. She also is not like some yoga teachers, who move through the poses quickly and aren't sensitive to potential injury points. Marjorie is extremely experienced and teaches with safety first. she also incorporates sage wisdom, mindfulness, and recommendations for self-care and homeopathic remedies regularly. And she's funny! Also, she's a native New Yorker, I also found her observations very pertinent and real (for example, many New Yorkers spend time at a desk sitting in a chair, and are surrounded by lots of noise and high energy levels generally - she methodically walks you through how to adjust to each of those norms). I suspect that wherever Marjorie lives and teaches, she is fully engrossed in the patterns and habits of that location. This ability of hers to be "tuned in" and genuine goes a long way in the way she teaches her class. I was delighted to also learn that Marjorie could be a confidant and crucial consult for other health problems in my life. She will always defer to doctors and experts, but Marjorie pointed me towards a rehabilitation specialist and I have been working with for two years, who has also changed my life. Not to mention that several health and mindfulness-related books on my bookshelf are there as a result of Marjorie's recommendation. And most recently, at Marjorie's urging, I completed her reset and re-new course, which helped me to reset my eating habits and tackle my inflammation, and, as she says, "live better in my body" through diet and wellness routines. I am happy to say that I have lost 20 pounds in my inflammation is greatly reduced. And, the whole time I've known her, I've known that she is always available when I may be in crisis with my health. When Marjorie left New York City, a regular of part of my routine did go away. But, Marjorie makes herself available for private sessions via Zoom, and will regularly consult over email. She is an incredible practitioner and anyone lucky enough to should reap the benefits of her wisdom. There are 1 million instructors out there, but they're truly only has one Marjorie. Plus, her dog is adorable!!!!
Katie was an awesome yoga instructor. I hired her on thumbtack because she reached out again after I received my offers and followed up to see if she could assist me with my goals. She understood I was new to yoga and wanted to get down some basics that would help me with some back issues before I braved a group setting. I didn’t want to be doing the wrong moves in a large class where the attention (and results) would be limited. We met once at a park and a few times at her place and she walked me through it with tons of patience and professionalism. I’m not the most flexible or coordinated, so her ability to guide me into the proper positions while making me feel comfortable speaks volumes of her teaching skills and yoga moves. Katie gave me volumes of knowledge to fast forward me into a life-long activity and I’m super grateful for all of her help.
We had an amazing experience with Blair as the instructor. She has a great command of the class for both people new to yoga as well as experienced. The tempo of the class is enjoyable while physically rewarding.
I wanted some yoga sessions to feel comfortable going to a class. I felt so much better after practicing with Amy. She was really understanding and helped me with flexibility and strength. My back feels so much better each day I do yoga because of the movements and breathing I learned. Amy was really thorough in explaining why she recommended certain moves and poses. I loved that she came to me and was really reasonable price for her time and knowledge of practicing. I'd recommend Amy to anyone that wants to learn or advance in yoga. I have a lot of fun with her!
Come As You Are means just that - it doesn't matter if you are flexible or not, thin or not, into meditation or not. Amber loves yoga and sharing it with everybody, and she is very down to earth and friendly and fun to be with. She must have advanced training of some sort because she knows more than any other yoga instructor I've had. For example, she showed me how to avoid getting shin splints. Highly, highly recommend CAYA Yoga and Amber DeBarge!

I originally wanted to increase flexibility to help my performance with soccer but now I am dedicated to Yoga. Alena leads the class based on the demand of her clients and cares about what she does. She even showed me some stretches I could do to help with running faster. Best yoga instructor I've had by far.
Kimmi is a gifted and intuitive healer. I appreciate that she is available for private session and group classes. She often donates her reiki love at a weekly yoga class I teach, and the students are always left feeling more at ease and peace. He's an interactive and engaged instructor who demonstrates positions and modifications, adjusts students to deepen the stretch (if you want that!), and provides support and encouragement if you're trying something new. I have been practicing yoga under the guidance of Glenda Wood for almost a year now. I was a dedicated Bikram Yoga student for about three years when a sudden brain aneurysm changed the course of my life. When I was able to begin practicing yoga again, the universe somehow found this amazing woman for me to begin a whole new journey and understanding of yoga. From the moment one meets Glenda, it is evident that she has a beautiful energy that emanates from within her and she shares it with all who are willing to experience a peaceful, calm joy and centering of self. Glenda begins each class with a profound intention that is relevant to what's going on in the world around us, and often includes a quote or poem from timeless philosophers and yoga gurus, which she reflects upon throughout her class. I am amazed by her ability to teach yoga to a beginner, a person in the process of healing such as myself, and the advanced yogi, all in the same class! She does this so instinctually by going through various modifications of each pose, so that everyone gets the benefits from the pose at their necessary level. I personally have evolved in body, mind and soul through my practice under the guidance of Glenda Wood. I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been in my life and am grateful to Glenda because she has been an integral part of my journey to a healthier, happier me. I just hope that more people get to experience a yoga practice under her guidance. All it will take is one class to understand that she is a true healer and a very special spirit.
Melissa was amazing! We hired Melissa to teach a morning yoga class for 10 ladies at my friend's bachelorette. She arrived right on time, despite the rain, with mats and props in tow, and led our group in an hour-long flow class. She was warm, confident, and fun - we all really enjoyed our session with Melissa. I would 100% recommend her to anyone!
