I've had a number of personal trainers before. When I relocated to San Diego, I knew I wanted to work with a trainer who would tailor to me, not put me on their canned program. Markshane offered a consultation (which included a workout and fitness assessment) that lasted almost 90 minutes, and addressed all my concerns. Now that we've trained together for a week, I feel I made the right decision moving foward with him.
I've been working out with Megan at Every Body’s Fit twice a week since November 2012 and highly recommend her. The workouts are fantastic and Megan really challenges you by making them progressively more difficult each session. Since starting with her, I am seeing significantly more definition in my legs, arms, chest, back, and torso, basically everywhere. Her rates are reasonable, about the same you'd pay somewhere like 24 hour fitness, and you get to work out in a nicer gym. Most importantly Megan is a great personal trainer and she gets RESULTS!!!!
Rich is the first personal trainer I've had and it's been an awesome experience. He's made me more knowledgeable in how my own muscles work and how to properly maintain the muscle I've gained. He's slowly ramped up the workouts so the difficulty is maintained and I've been able to notice myself getting stronger and having a higher output during exercises. I would highly recommend him! He's extremely supportive and helps you to feel confident in your abilities.
After working out with different personal trainers, Wes has been the first trainer to challenge every body part ! Wes helped me understand the importance of working out and eating healthy everyday! I now have a new passion for working out and the best has yet to come.
To be honest I don't quite know where to begin. There are not enough adjectives to describe how amazing Lauren Allen is. I was first introduced to Lauren through a coworker who was sharing her experience and I just had to find out for myself. I have had personal trainers in the past however I never felt comfortable enough in my journey or happy enough with my progress to continue. When I first met with Lauren I let her know this and she assured me that she would do everything she could to make me feel comfortable and to this day she has only exceeded my expectations. My initial goal when meeting with Lauren was to get in shape for my wedding by working out and eating clean. Little did I know in a matter of 4 short weeks Lauren would make me fall in love with working out and find a new appreciation for my body through the changes I have already seen. She's also taught me how to eat in a way that is real, it does not feel like I am restricted like all other diets, I am eating real food and remaining cautious of portions and moderation. Lauren has made my journey one that I will never forget and I know I will continue far past just getting fit for my wedding. Thank you Lauren for giving me my life back. I have always struggled with accepting myself and the way I look but when we work together and train you make me feel as though I am capable of anything and that all my goals are within my reach. Anyone looking to rediscover a love for themselves, Lauren is your girl. Not only will she make you look and feel great she will give you tools that will last a lifetime.
I recently did a private instruction session with A. Doyle. It was my second time ever doing yoga and I was intimidated by the atmosphere of a gym class. Allison's instruction was the perfect alternative. I didn't feel self-concious at all. I learned classic yoga poses and breathing techniques. She tailored the lesson to my beginner level and was very attune to my particular strengths and limitations. She had alernative poses ready for me in the case that something was too challenging, so I never felt like I "couldn't" do the lesson. She was attentive to correcting my form (making "adjustments") so that I had a good foundation to start on. I feel that in a group class I wouldn't have gotten nearly the personal attention. She takes her time and even repeated the lesson once we were finished (without my asking) so I could try it at a different pace and with my new knowledge. I appreciated that she didn't watch the clock or appear rushed in the least. She seems to truly love what she does and is perfectly suited for private instruction. Her rate is more than fair for the quality of instruction you receive.
I've been doing personal training since 2010 through many different trainers, my all time favorite was with Brittany. I went through a phase where I wasn't conditioned to training, had gained weight and wasn't use to lifting weights. The first time we trained together, I thought it was really weird but she made it of importance about my breathing and posture and didn't just get right back into lifting like I use to. A couple sessions later, I really actually felt a difference because she made it important to recondition myself and make sure that I breathe properly while I train! She not only made me feel physically fit, she was a great person to talk to, and made me feel great while I worked out and constantly pushed me to be a better person. I wouldn't ever want another trainer, and when I'm done with my break from training, Brittany and I are going to be back out there hitting those new PR's!
First, I would like to thank you Tom to help me feel confident and make my workout joyful and efficiency like I never feel before. I really appreciated your time and patience with me in every session. It takes time for me to write this review since English is not my first language, and it's difficult for me to describe my wonderful experience with Tom thru this messages. However, I will try my best. If you are looking for an expert, punctual, spectacular and fantastic personal trainer, don't hesitate to contact Tom. It might sounds exaggerate when you are keep reading this review, however; please allow me explain this clearly. I though I might have same experience with you guys, otherwise; you would not found this review. I never ever feel like I want to go workout...why? 1. I don't know how to start 2. I feel unconfident 3. I don't know how to use the machine 4. I don't want other people look at me 5. I don't have motivation....million reasons I could write down. I believe you might feel the same way as I did. I was a member of a huge fitness center and paid silly money for 20x private training session. I barely see how different when I first started and last session. First time, I met Tom, he absolutely changed the game. He listened to me, explained how I could achieve my goal and boost my confident. My sessions are never predictable. Tom always give me a challenge, fresh and fun workout. You will never get bored when you see him. He changed, adapted and tried new exercise positions to help me go through a tough session. He encourage and gave a technique which is very helpful. I always feel time flies fast when I workout with Tom. Soreness is a gift, but you will see a wonderful result. Unfortunately, I have to relocated, I don't know how could I find another him again. Finding a personal trainer is not difficult, but finding a personal trainer that be honest and give you a "friendship" might take a lifetime period. I'm lucky enough to found one. Sarah
Aside from being an awesome zumba instructor, she's an amazing trainer. She's been my personal trainer since Sept and she's already helped me accomplish some of my goals. She gives me the encouragement I need to continue to work hard and see results. She's a great motivator. I've learned so much from her that I'm able to use good form when performing various exercises. She also took a look at my eating habits and was able to provide so easy suggestions. Thankfully, they weren't so bad.
Lisa is experienced and knowledgeable. She brings a lot more to the table then most trainers. She is also a health coach and helps with healthy eating.
Diane and I worked for a couple of weeks and she had showed me how professional she can be. She absolutely helped me a lot in teaching me new exercises. In the beginning of our course she asked where I wanted to be when it came to how I wanted my body to be and she made my own personal fitness plan according to what I told her. The fitness plan was great! Although we had only worked for a couple of weeks, I did see some changes especially in the way I eat. To top all of that she was very sociable and understanding. She actually tries to get to know you which is great. I felt comfortable opening about myself with her. My few weeks with her were great! I totally recommend working with her!
Mike is not only an amazing personal trainer, bc he is extremely knowledgeable and always looking to learn new and innovative ways to help everyone achieve their life goals, but he's truly an inspiration and one heck of a life coach! Without his guidence I wouldn't be the person I am today, both emotionally and physically.
Colby was my personal trainer for about a year and he is amazing at what he does. I've had other personal trainers in the past and he is by far the best. I saw immediate results and continued to see even more results throughout the year. He was always pushing me to the next level even if I felt like I wanted to give up. In addition to providing personal training, he discusses proper nutrition to meet your goals. He was always available to answer any questions I had. I would see Colby's other clients in passing and also noticed dramatic results with them throughout the year. If I hadn't relocated to NYC I would still be working out with him. i highly recommend Colby if you are serious about results and want a trainer who genuinely cares about you and your fitness goals.
I was a scared girl who wanted change but I didn't know where to start. I walked past the gym for 2 months until I finally found the bravery to walk in. I was matched up with Candon as my trainer & started going once a week. I have been working with Candon for 6 months straight & he has helped build confidence in me to workout & challenge myself, even on my non training days. It's about always improving myself for a happier & healthier life, starting from the inside out. Candon now works with me twice-three times a week to achieve my goals. It took a long time for me to realize that personal trainers honestly and genuinely want what you want. He will be your biggest fan. I have a spinal injury which creates a struggle when doing certain moves, but I ask Candon to push me harder and he does. If I need an easier day, he doesn't hold it against me or make me feel bad about it. He just asks for communication and honesty regarding what I'm struggling with so he knows how to help me. He praises that I've taken effort to still show up even on my low/hard days because he knows that with each day I show up...is another day closer to me reaching my goal. He is one of my #1 supporters on my overall health and fitness journey and I genuinely know that he wants to see me happy. To date I have dropped over 70 pounds with about 40 more to go. I am now transitioning away from weight loss & into muscle building/toning and I've never been more eager! I recommend Candon for ALL levels of fitness from the beginner/novice to the extreme/advanced weight lifter. He is well rounded with his education and understanding of the body & different muscle groups & has an amazing character. Zack has been my personal trainer for only two weeks and I have already seen a noticeable difference in my appearance as well as in the way I carry myself. I've known Jon for a number of years. I met Jon when he was a student athlete at San Diego State University playing football. He's always been determined to be a personal trainer and there wasn't a droubt in my mind that he would reach that goal. When I learned that he was actually training people I had to see what he was doing. So I started following him on Instagram to see him in action. I was impressed with what he was doing with his clients that I called him up and set up an appointment. He stopped by my office (which I appreciated) and we talked about what my fitness goals and objectives were for training and the next week I was at his training facility training. He didn't go easy on me and he didn't let me slack on any part of my workouts. I thought he would take it easy on me but he didn't and I appreciate that. There were times I told him I couldn't do an exercise and that the weight was too heavy but he encouraged me to do it. And I did it. His positive attitude and patience with me makes him an AMAZING trainer. Not only does he care about your fitness journey but he cares about you as a person. Side note he allows me to have fun (telling jokes and singing) when I workout, while still pushing me to get better and stronger. I would recommend that you give Jon a chance and see for yourself what an AMAZING trainer he is.
Roger provides everything you need as personal trainer. He provides the motivation and the attention you need to not give up and keep going! He makes working out fun and you can't wait to go back!!! What I like about Roger is that you never get bored of his workouts because every day it's a different workout. He has pushed me to my limits and I'm loving it! I will totally recommend Roger!!! He rocks! :)
As a former professional athlete I am always looking for somebody to push me and challenge me physically. Training with Sam gives me just that, she pushes me to my limits and motivates me to work harder every time. If you're looking for a personal trainer, she's awesome!!
I did a 2 week trial with Adam, and in just those 2 weeks I could feel a difference in my body. The Workouts he had me doing were great! From rope slams, Trx cables and Bear crawls, Adam had me doing everything I needed to be loosing fat and gain muscle. He also recommends a dietary plan. This was great, he provided a shopping list and snacks that I should eat during the workouts to get the best results. Adam is a great trainer and he knows his stuff! i would highly recommend anyone who is trying to live a healthier lifestyle to get in touch with Adam.
Tyler Stubbs, without exaggeration, has the most knowledge of how the body works than anyone I've ever met. Of all of the things I could say I loved about training with him, this is definitely what set him above so many other trainers (many of whom have years on him). In the past I had left so many gym sessions feeling unaccomplished because I had an unhealthy mindset when it came to excerise, and I had no idea what I was doing. I found myself without confidence or desire to go to the gym most of the time. Once I began training with Tyler, however, his knowledge and passion for what he does made for a successful workout every time; both physically and mentally. He had a complete handle on every exercise he instructed me to do; it was clear even to me that he organized each session meticulously and knew exactly what muscles were being targeted at all times. It was very clear that this trainer spent a lot of time planning outside of his paid hours (something that can't be said of many professionals). On top of this, his expertise allowed him to replace or adjust any exercise based on injuries I have. For example, I have a weak hip that is very hard to predict during my workouts. Not only did Tyler identify the cause of my hip pain before my physical therapist could figure it out, but he also was able to adjust any exercise that was bothering my hip- a quick minded feat that I was very impressed by. Tyler was endlessly encouraging during sessions- pushing me to reach my potential but also recognizing and acknowledging my limits. In three words, Tyler Stubbs is dedicated, professional, and knowledgeable beyond his years and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality personal trainer.
I am so happy to have found a personal trainer who is extremely knowledgeable about the field and very patient with someone who is just getting into fitness. I have been training with Stacey for almost 2 months now and love that our workouts are challenging yet fun. Aside from the workouts, she has created a diet plan specific to me and my needs. My fitness goal is to lose weight and to tone. I am definitely confident that continuing my training and diet plan with Stacey will get me to my goal body! Thank you for all that you do!!
