Luck was definitely on my side when I saw an ad posted on Craig's List for Diediet's acoustic guitar services! I was impressed by his background in music and that his self taught talent was further perfected through study with other artists later in adulthood. My communications with Didiet, whether by text, email, or phone was always very professional and cordial. Didiet never missed a beat (pun intended) and always followed up timely so he didn't worry the bride! The icing on the cake for my husband and me was that Didiet learned two of our favorite songs to play during our wedding processional. I didn't want to walk down the aisle with the traditional bridal march and thank goodness I didn't have to. The two things that really stood out in my mind as I walked down the aisle on my wedding day was my husband's smile and Didiet's beautiful music as he strummed Unchained Melody! I highly recommend Didiet for you wedding or other special event if you want acoustic music you and your guests will remember for many years.

David is a great teacher who isn't doing this for the money but to teach the art of music. He has stayed at my house twice as long as what I payed for and added no extra charge. He also gives a wide range of ways to relate his teachings. (IE. I take bass lessons but we commonly go to the piano to practice and drill) all in all David is a great teacher and highly recommended. Definite 5 stars.

Just finished my 2nd guitar lesson with Steve this week. Steve is professional and very patient with beginners like me. I also really like how he incorporates learning to read sheet music into his lessons.

"I had guitar lessons with the Guitar Institute of Learning for a little over 3 years, and those years were the first 3 years I had in my experience of ever playing the guitar. I learned so much from my teacher. He taught me Jazz Standards, folk songs, and even things that were accommodated to my own interests as well! More importantly, I gained a life changing perspective from the songs, chords, melodies and harmonies that my teacher taught me. The concepts never get old. Guitar Institute of Learning does not just teach you how to play guitar, but how to practice it and how to become a great musician. It can be one thing to play an instrument, but to know how to play with other musicians requires a development of playing with others and applying your knowledge. Which is what guitar institute of learning can help you do. Everything I learned from GIOL literally changed my view and appreciation for music once I became more aware of the music world. I learned things that, once I looked back and realized what I was learning, I was so surprised and grateful that I was shown such great songs. I will always have a gratitude for the class and vast repertoire that they had opened me up to. As a musician, now playing guitar for 8 years, I would not be where I am today without those lessons. Knowing how important practicing everyday is, and finding how you define music will help you find an appreciation and motivation from and beyond these lessons." -Lawrence S. Abbott

Iam a professional Guitarist and have been taking lessons from Bob for a bout 2 months now. I inicially contacted Bob becaused I had reached an impasse with my playing. Within the first couple of lessons I learned to negociate the fret board with more ease and confidence. Bob has a solid foundation in theory as well as teaching the student the pratical application of the theory. I was able to apply the learning material to my playing almost immediately after my lesson. Bob is very patient and takes the time to explain the material so it is well understood before the lessons are over. I highly reccommend Bob to anyone who wants to take their playing to the next level.

Great personalized instruction, where you can learn at your own pace. I came in as an older (in my 50's) student and learned very quickly. I highly recommend Chris as an instructor. He not only teaches music, but music theory and he is very pleasant and patient and attentive as a teacher.. I was playihg acoustic guitar but other instruments are taught there as well.

Mark taught guitar to both my son and my husband in our home. Mark was professional and so encouraging in his teaching method. The thing that stood out most to me was Mark's devotion to teaching. He truly wanted to pass along his tremendous talent to his students, and was so proud of their accomplishments. Mark would be an excellent teacher for any student, beginner or more advanced. He rocks!

It has been some 5+ years that I have had the privilege to be one of Peppino's students. Having laid down my guitar for over 20 years before I met Peppino, I was a little apprehensive to start up again with someone as talented and gifted as Peppino. With an abundance of patience and guidance, Peppino was able to knock some of the rust off my fingers and reawaken my love for the guitar. Peppino has the unique ability to take his students beyond what they thought they were capable of and introduce them to a whole new level of musicianship. He is able to cater his teaching to the needs of each individual student; be they beginner, intermediate, or advanced guitarist. I am truly grateful for all that Peppino has given me so far, and hope to continue under his instruction.

The 44th note is an amazing company. My sons guitar lessons were great. He looked forward to the lesson every week. The encouragement he received made him feel good even after the lesson was over. Couldn't of asked for a better teacher. Thank you Jeff for helping my son not only learn the guitar but all feel better about himself.

Hello! My name is Jesse Szabo, and I've been playing guitar for almost 10 years and professionally for 3 years. I use an extremely personalized approach to teaching that utilizes my students' strengths and weaknesses to round them out as a player. Whether it's theory, note reading, soloing, or just want to have fun learning your favorite song, we can do that. I'm excited to meet you and start learning! If you are learning on an electric guitar, all I ask is that you have some kind of amplifier at your residence because I cannot bring an extra. Other than that, I will determine what materials we need.

About

Attention: Please contact me via text or email. I have been playing guitar for about 10 years, and I wish to share my knowledge. I specialize in teaching how to write original music. I have been performing live music since 2005, touring around the United States. I enjoy teaching beginner guitar courses to show basic chord progressions and how to incorporate those into writing original music. My teaching philosophy is that I like to make my students aware of the best guitar chords and techniques for a beginner to start with, which will make them familiar with the process of the big picture; a large part of that is also teaching what the student wants to learn. This approach makes the student want to continue playing and practicing the guitar, as opposed to sending them home with all different types of exercises, which can seem overwhelming and, sometimes, boring. Each one of my students receives a 10-minute CD with fun drum beats to play along with (when the time is appropriate, everyone learns at a different pace), as well as session recordings to teach them some basic recording techniques and to listen to what they have been learning. I hold lessons at my home in Dixon, CA, which is the most appropriate place to start with the lessons. I am willing to travel within a reasonable distance in the surrounding areas (additional fees will apply). I have a few packages to choose from. Standard rates are $40 per 1-hour session or $140 per month for 4 one-hour sessions per month. Also inquire about 30-minute sessions.
