"My son started piano lessons at 5 years old, and then at 7 years he started taking lessons from Gary. The past two years of lessons with Gary have been incredible. Gary does an excellent job of teaching him proper piano techniques and skills such as timing, body position, rhythm but make it fun. My son had already developed some “bad habits” or not learned them correctly the first two years of lessons. Gary worked diligently to make sure those were corrected and he had a good foundation and has improved exponentially these past two years. Gary incorporates songs my son is familiar with into his lessons as well as technique practice. With his improvement over the past two years, he has also developed a love for playing and frequently asks if he can practice rather than me having to constantly remind him to practice. I highly recommend Gary as a piano instructor and we hope to have several years of him teaching our children. "

"I studied with Raisa for a few years growing up and it was her teaching that made notes and sheet music transform into musicianship for me. She helped me understand how to put feeling in everything I played and how to really play from my heart. Not only her piano lessons but her life lessons were passed onto me through her love of music and her gigantic heart."

"Teresa was my daughter's piano teacher here in Chicago from kindergarten to 8th grade. From time to time, aside from piano lessons she helped my daughter with her clarinet for her school band. Teresa was an excellent teacher & a wonderful person. She inspired my kids with her works. I highly recommend her for everyone that needs a music lesson. "

"My 9yo son has been taking lessons with Mike for 10 months. He started asking for piano lessons about a year prior to him starting with Mike and once we were at a point to start Mike came highly recommended. In the last 10 months my son has learned notes, how to read music, play in a few hand positions and is now moving between hand positions. We are a homeschooling family with three children all vying for our discretionary income. It’s fantastic to know that we can rent a keyboard from Mike (so no huge upfront expense while our son figures out if this is going to be a long term passion) and the lessons are competitively priced. I’m a firm believer in providing resources to a child and stepping back and watching them soar. Our son has done that with the kind guidance of Mike. "

"My son was hesitant to start his guitar lessons, and if he didn’t like it, it would be a major ordeal to get him in the car to go. I work like everyone and have zero time left. The fact that Tess comes to the house to teach - while I prepare dinner - is freaking awesome. What a time saver. And shes made it a great experience by offering tons of encouragement and lots of laughter wrapped up in a neat 30 min session. Highly recommend."

"Our family first met Annika in 2013 when my daughter and I began learning to play the violin. My daughter says, "Annika is friendly and good at explaining things." I second that; and, would add "patience" to the list of descriptors. We felt so lucky to find in the Annika in the busy DC area where the demand for good music teachers is so great. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending her. We really miss her!"
