Latest Review: We have hired Gary Schmidt to teach all three of our children piano lessons. He is able and willing to meet all three of them right where they are in regards to their ages (11, 8, and 5) and interests, and offers scheduling flexibility whenever possible. He is a very kind and approachable person and a superbly seasoned teacher. We are very happy we found him!

Latest Review: I studied with Raisa for a few years growing up and it was her teaching that made notes and sheet music transform into musicianship for me. She helped me understand how to put feeling in everything I played and how to really play from my heart. Not only her piano lessons but her life lessons were passed onto me through her love of music and her gigantic heart.

Latest Review: Egemen is an exceptional instructor / private tutor that builds the class based on the particular needs of each pupil. He meets with each individual to define goals for the class. Then, in order to reach these goals, he identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the pupil, and prepares the contents of the class accordingly. He never hesitates to take the extra step to come up with material that best suits the capabilities of the particular individual. No matter if you're interested in music theory, music composition, electronic music, or piano, Egemen is an inexhaustible resource that will keep you impatient for the next lesson.

Latest Review: My son was hesitant to start his guitar lessons, and if he didn’t like it, it would be a major ordeal to get him in the car to go. I work like everyone and have zero time left. The fact that Tess comes to the house to teach - while I prepare dinner - is freaking awesome. What a time saver. And shes made it a great experience by offering tons of encouragement and lots of laughter wrapped up in a neat 30 min session. Highly recommend.

Latest Review: Our family first met Annika in 2013 when my daughter and I began learning to play the violin. My daughter says, "Annika is friendly and good at explaining things." I second that; and, would add "patience" to the list of descriptors. We felt so lucky to find in the Annika in the busy DC area where the demand for good music teachers is so great. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending her. We really miss her!

Latest Review: My 9yo son has been taking lessons with Mike for 10 months. He started asking for piano lessons about a year prior to him starting with Mike and once we were at a point to start Mike came highly recommended. In the last 10 months my son has learned notes, how to read music, play in a few hand positions and is now moving between hand positions. We are a homeschooling family with three children all vying for our discretionary income. It’s fantastic to know that we can rent a keyboard from Mike (so no huge upfront expense while our son figures out if this is going to be a long term passion) and the lessons are competitively priced. I’m a firm believer in providing resources to a child and stepping back and watching them soar. Our son has done that with the kind guidance of Mike.

Latest Review: ABC Music Academy is the place to send students of any age who aspire to become quality musicians. Lori's musical experience and abilities are top notch on any of the instruments she teaches. She enjoys teaching younger students and makes their lessons creative and encouraging. She communicates well with parents and plans performing opportunities for even the youngest beginner while including students who are more skilled. She also plans events for the Christmas season and other community opportunities. She is simply the best, and I would highly recommend her.

Latest Review: Teresa was my daughter's piano teacher here in Chicago from kindergarten to 8th grade. From time to time, aside from piano lessons she helped my daughter with her clarinet for her school band. Teresa was an excellent teacher & a wonderful person. She inspired my kids with her works. I highly recommend her for everyone that needs a music lesson.
