Marylyn was an absolute miracle in helping us sort through the hurdles of planning our wedding! We live in Florida and held our wedding in CT and she spent so much time with me, over email and phone to work out every detail, she went well beyond what I expected of a catering service to ensure we had everything we needed. We got married on the first Saturday of fall and so Marylyn and her team had a busy weekend, so she had Neal, her partner take care of our party. While I'm disappointed I didn't get to actually meet Marylyn and give her an enormous, grateful hug, Neal was patient and thorough, and did a fantastic job. We had just been through hurricane Irma in Florida, so our plans and setup were chaotic/last-minute, but Neal and his team at the venue did a wonderful job catering to our late adjustments. EVERYONE came up to our table to tell us the menu options and food was fantastic. Marylyn, along with my (the bride's), experience in food service, helped us create an unusual menu of delicious selections. The cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres were excellent! We highly recommend the lamb chops with mint sauce, everybody went crazy on those! We had a lovely cookie bar next to our cake and the cookies were excellent as well. All in all, our wedding was a complete success and everyone had a great time. We're so happy we found Juste Hors D'oeuvres and we're over the moon about our special day being perfect and quirky like us. Thank you Marylyn, Neal, her team of caterers, her rental partner William and everyone who helped make our day so special. We are eternally grateful!
Chris did an amazing job catering an event I was at. He was charismatic and charming as well as professional and the food was exquisite! I'll never forget the cheese/Apple/prosciutto crisps, that was a culinary genius paring.
I found Bacco Caterers on Thumbtack. I was impressed with the five stars and the reviews, so I contacted Chef Lauren to begin to see if she was the caterer for usand was she ever! Joyce and I wanted to include our friends and family in our marriage anniversary celebration in our Brooklyn home. We are novice Open House hosts and Lauren advised us re details we would never have thought of, including in our menu selections. Her staff, chef Amanda and sous chef Laura, created freshly made hors dhoeuvres in our kitchen as the party occurred, superb finger food that was varied, interesting, and delicious! People, including us, loved it. The servers Karen, Tony, and Kevin, and bartender Elroy were unobtrusively attentive and friendly to our guests. Our party took place on two floors and the yard, and the staff kept the food appearing and the empty glasses disappearing with seeming effortlessness. Many guests commented on how comfortable they made everyone feel, contributing to the general sense of joyousness. In spite of our request for no gifts, or perhaps because of it, many of our 50 guests brought flowers. As soon as I was handed the bouquets, Tony would appear and would arrange them in vases I had directed him to when flowers first arrived. I was free during the whole party to visit with my friends and family. I, who am not a party-person, enjoyed myself fully during this celebration, and I am grateful to Chef Lauren and her staff for the many ways (including a fantastic clean-up) they helped make that possible. I used Tamara for my engagement party and she was fantastic! I had about 60 people and we started with passed h'ourderves during a cocktail hour in one room (she provided the staff and a bartender). While this happened she was setting up the buffet dinner in another room. She let me know when it was ready and then (timing was flawless) we moved into the second room for dinner. My friends and family raved about the food, which included gluten-free and vegan options as many had dietary restrictions. We had a French theme as I had gotten engaged in France and Tamara worked with me on a French menu, including a delicious chocolate-hazelnut crepe desert with fresh berries. She was totally on-point with timing, presentation, and professional execution, including proactively handling things like insurance with the building so it wasn't a hassle for me. The reason I initially chose her was because she was more reasonable than the other bids I received for caterers in New York but she offered identical services to what they had proposed and she went the extra mile the day of the event. I will definitely be using her again and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I am still receiving compliments on her food and the friendliness/professionalism of her staff.
We had an event for 140 people at Lighthouse Point Last Night, and hired Rich and his team. Right from the moment he got in contact with us, Rich was super responsive and clear. He helped us work through what our needs would be and offered to take care of many of the little details related to the bar that you never think of but that make it very special. And, to boot, he was a great bartender and presence at the event. Warm service, great attitude, and overall a great guy to work with. Thanks, Rich!
Although we didn’t end up getting a caterer for our event- de cicco responded to every question promptly and was accommodating. Hoping to hire them for future events.
My experience was EXCEPTIONAL!! I believe that 35 guest at the surprise 30th birthday party would agree. The compliments about the food and staff providing the services were endless...parting words for many as they left the event. I am a true critic when it comes to taste, presentation, and professionalism. It was perfect. Every need was met with a smile and eagerness to assist in creating a magical evening. For the guest of honor it was "the best birthday ever." For the guest, it was a delightful experience prompting multiple request for the "caterers" information! I don't think Nate has it in his DNA to disappoint.
You could do yourself a big favor and look no further for a caterer for any event, I imagine, big or small. We had a 30-person outdoor party planned, then thunderstorms, so we had a 30-person indoor party planned, and Adolfo anticipated the issues, set everything up beautifully, cooked excellent food, gave our guests a night they will remember. One important note: Adolfo came to our site days before, free of charge, which was probably an hour-plus journey for him. It was important to him that we agree on everything before he began- and when he arrived on the day of the party he just went to work, everything was settled except for the rain plan, which he solved in minutes. He brought his own staff, he did his own set up and take down. The stress level for us: zero. We just enjoyed the party knowing we were in excellent hands. If there were a six star, or eight star, or ten star rating on this site I would happily provide that feedback. I could not recommend more highly.
Amazing, amazing, amazing. Joe and his catering crew went far and beyond the things they were paid to do. He made my husband and I feel like kings and queens he made sure we was the first to receive everything not once did I have to be concerned about Joe or his crew catering to my friends and family, most importantly the food was terrific. People are calling me asking where did I find him and if he's willing to give some of his recipes. Hell, some have even tried to make appetizers he prepared for us at our wedding, lol. The food was delicious he was extremely affordable. This will not be our last time using LCI caterers for our events in fact he just allow me to give up cooking for large events and just pay him the food is going to come out just as good if not better thank you Joe I appreciate you we will be doing more business together and get ready for our first year anniversary next year.
Chef catered a large family gathering (24 people with 6 kids) in a home we rented in the hamptons. He and his staff were amazing. They were professional, fun to work with, and easy to work with as well! The food was delicious. He even created a cocktail of "the day" that was a smashing success! (+ he brought a bartender to help) I originally went with Chef Plum because when I put the bid out for the event Chef had the most creative ideas for menu, drinks and was great to talk to on the phone. I knew from the start that he'd be easy to work with. From day 1 to the day of the event, he was amazing. Always responsive, helpful and took a ton off our "plate" as he helped organize rentals, glassware, and a lot of other details. This was an amazing event thanks to chef and his team. I highly recommend him!!
I am a new user to Thumbtack. And I have to say, I am so glad I connected with Tyler. Everything went very well at my event! I really appreciated bartenders Jimmy and Chris because of their expertise, I was able to be hands off! With their professionalism in addition to Tyler's responsiveness, I would say that I am looking forward to working HighLife again!
Laura is a true professional. I ordered appetizers for a small gathering to celebrate my daughter’s engagement. All my guests were in awe of the delicious food Laura prepared. One was better than the other. Everything was homemade, even down to the sauces! I will absolutely be using Sunflowers Catering and Event Planning in the future and I would highly recommend them!
I was unable to use his services due to unforeseen circumstances but I had the pleasure of planning the event with Stenneth who was very responsive.
via Melissa, or "Chef Melissa" as we call her, exceeded our expectations! We took her from her usual route of healthy food and asked her to run a cooking class so that children with Celiac Disease could make and enjoy cupcakes on the morning of Super Bowl Sunday. She was really flexible and provided what felt and looked like "regular" cupcakes but modified for strict gluten-free compliance and somehow they were a little healthy too! All natural. even organic and dairy-free where possible. The ages of children who attended ranged from 4-12 and she worked really well with everyone! She set up before we (event organizers) arrived and had a friendly helper with her. They were professional but the kids related to them very well. The parents were all pleased and her rate was really reasonable! Our support group doesn't make any money from events like this, parents paid her directly and she was accepting last-minute additions without any worries. I can't think of a single negative - in fact we'd like to work with her again this year! Oh, and she even took the work of finding a location away from us (we're 2 volunteers who run this group for our children and others). Next class, we'll go a little healthier and really take advantage of ALL that via Melissa has to offer our kids! :) Oh, and she's even sending us kid-friendly, healthy and gluten-free recipes for us to share with the families in our group! She really goes above and beyond!
I can't even begin to express how much Platter Matters Catering was the logistical backbone of our corporate event. They are definitely NOT just another vendor but a partner and consultant to plan and execute your perfect event. They were willing to make special substitutions to fit our preferences and even shared some fun creative ideas for us. The food was simply delicious; it tasted as if made with love and pride. Our guests appreciated the attention to any serious food allergies. All staff was amazing, and Ivett (owner) was a fantastic resource and helped immensely with the planning process, logistics, and answered my questions at all hours of the day. I highly recommend them for any event! Deborah
We had a wonderful experience with Anne and First Bite Catering. We held a wine tasting and spanish dinner party for 25 guests. Anne was extremely responsive and helpful during the planning process. She was open to handling many details over and above the food prep and presentation. That was very helpful. And the food was wonderful! My guests raved about it. She and her staff were punctual and professional on the night of the event and cleaned up everything so I could enjoy the party and guests. I highly recommend First Bite and I will definitely hire them again. Thanks Anne!
Everything about 3R’s Catering & Events is amazing, from the beautiful work they put together to the amazing customer service and professionalism they provide. Regina stayed in contact with me throughout the whole month of my event. They made sure they had everything and was on time. The set up and decor was beautiful and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. I will recommend people to reach out during their events. Thank so much 3R’s Catering and Events for everything.
Last summer 2016, I had a small intimate brunch for close friends. Cornbread26, were in charge of catering and serving. My friends enjoyed a wonderful vegan spread that consisted of ; crab sliders, macaroni and cheese , and a mouth watering vegetable melody !!! Their signature guava sangria was there to seal this perfect afternoon with friends. Their services was top notch, professional and satisfying and I will be using Cornbread26, this summer for my annual brunch event.
I am currently working with Susan who will be catering a dinner reception for my wedding this June. I was referred to Susan by a coworker who had previously work with her and raved about how great her food is. I am so happy to have found her, she is very responsive and willing to listen to my concerns. I highly recommend Susan!
I had the privilege of having Joe from angelos market and catering cater our event and must say I was blown away with the quality of food and professionalism by he and his staff..highly recommended. .thank you again Joe
Little Pleasures provided an upfront and honest quote with no hidden service charges like some other caterers. Their professionalism was amazing. I felt at ease while planning my event with them!
