svet is legit! at first I wasnt too sure if I wanted to do personal training because I'm a student and therefore have little money to splurge. I saw other personal trainers and saw they charged outrageous amounts for their services. however, svet is very flexible with his payment. this made it possible for me to focus on myself instead of the money. as for the training, this guy will kick your ass, but the results are worth it. it has been about a month for me and I have lost 10 pounds of what I'm sure was fat. also I feel much stronger and my existing back and shoulder problems are starting to alleviate themselves. if you are serious about training than the svetness personal training program is for you. the svetnesss program will not only help change how you look, but it will positively change how you live your lifestyle.

I have been training with Robert Armstrong (Fitness Stop LLC), Personal Training, 4 times a week since November 18, 2015. I researched numerous fitness programs and met various personal trainers in my local area before choosing Fitness Stop LLC. I found an immediate connection with Robert and his training program as I felt he truly cares in working with his clients to reach their fitness goals regardless if its 10 or 60 pounds. His personal experience in weight loss and dedicated training drives his clients to achieving their fitness goals as he has. My goal is to lose 25-30 pounds within 6 months from the start of my training. Robert provided me with a meal plan that I have been disciplined in following. He prepared me to understand the challenges I will experience when changing to a healthier lifestyle with consistent exercise and diet. Robert has the patience yet pushes his clients to the level he knows they can achieve and they do. He works well with clients with injuries as well. In the first 3 weeks I trained with Robert, I lost 10 pounds. I definitely met my goal in losing the most difficult 10 pounds in less than the time I expected and because of it, I am more motivated and determined and will continue training with Robert. Losing pounds and maintaining the weight loss was always the most difficult for me but because Robert's training varies and not boring, I look forward to each training session and always feel accomplished after. The only regret I have is that I wish I had started sooner with Robert Armstrong and Fitness Stop LLC but like anything in life, better late than never.

I hired Robert about two months ago. I have had personal trainers before but none like him. Robert is an asset- he knows how to deal with clients and trains them accordingly. He inculcates a sense of discipline into the client which is great. I have lost about 10 pounds and this is just the beginning. He keeps you motivated and makes you look at the larger picture- which means how one would feel at the end of the sessions when one has become healthier and looks good too. I would highly encourage people to get his team if you are serious about working out and improving yourself.

Robert was great! I've had personal trainers before but he's the only one that did a real assessment ahead of working out. This way he was able to tell me very specifically where I'd need to put in the most work to reach my goals. His rates are highly competitive and he worked with my tight schedule to find the best time for me. He's also a really friendly, nice guy. You'll enjoy (at least as much as you can enjoy getting your butt kicked) working with him or his trainers. It's a family owned company so they have a vested interest in excellent customer service.

A great personal trainer: he customized our sessions to exactly what I needed (very much a beginner, so we had simple goals like 10 push ups, etc) and we've been working our way up since. He's also super flexible with your schedule. My schedule was nuts for the 10 months I've worked with him, but he was always willing to move things around to accommodate -- and since he was willing to come to me and work out in my building's gym, I never had an excuse to not get my blood pumping! Every session was different so I never got bored, but they were all intense work outs. Shawn is not the type of trainer that gets down on the floor and yells at you to keep going, but he encourages you when you need it. He stands back and lets you concentrate on doing your thing, usually only piping up to correct form. Between sets, he's very nice and pleasant to talk to. I'm definitely in the best shape of my life thanks to Shawn! I especially recommend him to anyone who feels a little lost in the gym -- he's definitely increased my comfort level and knowledge about working out.

I strongly recommend Shawn as your personal trainer. I am a 37 year old with a very sedentary job and completely out of shape . I have been working with Shawn for 6 weeks, thrice a week. My problem with a one size fitness program like p90x or a group class is that I cannot actually do them - i either injure myself or get so exhausted I cant do my work - so I can stick to a program and dont see results. Shawn took all of this into account and designed a custom program for me. He pushes me (but not to break point), mixes up the routine (that helps me stay interested) and offers a good explanation for why I am doing something. The diet plan is great. He is very professional and will email you meeting requests to schedule time and is on time for class. Thanks to Shawn, 6 weeks of rigorous exercise is the most I have done in my life - I hope to keep this streak going.

Three sessions in, Shawn has shown great professionalism and knowledge of the personal training industry. Paired with his Gladiator Strong suggested nutrition, I already feel a difference in my energy and have lost 5 lbs.! He motivates, tolerates my constant complaining, is accommodating in terms of location, and of 3 other personal trainers I've had in my lifetime, I finally did proper push-ups with the correct form. He smartly combines cardio with strength and working multiple muscle groups with different exercises and has had a different routine every session. I'll be ready for Key West in two weeks time and keep it going up to my wedding in December. If he'll have me, I'll be using him again after these sessions. Will post before and after pictures.

I first started working out with Cornelius about one year ago, after my girlfriend encouraged me to give personal training a try. I used to be one of those guys who thought personal trainers weren't necessary for a good workout, so I was hesitant at first – but I followed my girlfriend's advice and signed up for a few sessions with Cornelius. After our first workout, I knew I'd be coming back for more. When I first started training I was WEAK, even though I had been jogging regularly. I had rarely stretched or worked on building strength. I also wasn't eating well. Cornelius immediately recognized these holes in my training regimen and started developing workout and diet plans to help me build strength at a healthy pace. Due to my lack of stretching, many of my muscles and joints were incredibly tight – but Cornelius' taught me exercises and stretches that would help me build strength and loosen that tightness without causing injury. Thanks to Cornelius, I feel stronger and look healthier. The girlfriend who got me started with training has even pointed out improvements to my energy levels and confidence. The fitness plans Cornelius has built around my personal needs have been perfect. My husband and I trained with Cornelius for three months, twice a week for an hour and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have made. Cornelius not only helped us reach out weight loss goal, but also taught us about diet and healthy living. He remind us to stay focused, eat right, drink water and get in our daily exercise. He got my husband's weight down 20 pounds in 12 weeks and helped him gain muscle with no real big change in diet. Training with Cornelius is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. I discovered Jenise through thumbtack and by reading reviews about her. I had been seeking for a personal trainer. After my initial consultation, I knew that she was the trainer for me. To give an overview of my fitness level: I am 26. I am a non-athlete. Actually, I’m pretty uncoordinated and clumsy and have never regularly exercised before. I love yoga but I also never got into doing it regularly enough. Its rare to get the motivation for me to get up and go to the gym which is why I chose to seek a personal trainer that can come to me and give me an individualized service. When I contacted Jenise, she offered for a consultation and to see my goals and ultimately see if my schedule will fit in with hers. I should have worn appropriate clothing at that time to do a fitness assessment… nevertheless, after booking she came to me for the assessment, measurements, and weigh-in. We completed 12 sessions in a 1 month period. Just like learning a new skill or a language or an insurance for a healthier life in the future— every penny is worth it. If I could afford it, I would for sure continue working out with Jenise 3 times a week all my life!! But this has been a really great stepping stone to a STRONGER me. The workouts as other reviews mention are different each time although during every session you focus on different parts of the body. Usually you do one session focusing on lower body, one on upper body and one focusing on the core. She makes sure that your workout is high-intensity and always adds new moves or gadgets to the workouts to make it fun. Boxing, resistance training outside in the neighborhood, when the weather is nice, were some of the highlights for me. Even though, I liked the convenience of her coming to me.. I also liked going to her location at the end of the week to top off my workout and get the MOST out of my weekly workouts. Her gym has all the equipment needed to kick butt. She really understands the anatomy and where your weaknesses lie as a unique individual. She builds your workouts according to these and changes the number of repetitions or the amount of weight as necessary during the workout. She watches you closely on your form and ensures you get the most out of every exercise. I personally never liked working out because I never knew how to. I knew I had terrible form and didn’t know how to fix it. Jenise became a teacher to me and showed me how to properly lift. She also always reminded me to breathe when I exerted energy (I tend to hold my breath when I lift .. its no bueno!) Now I see that I have made progress and I have learned proper form, I am keen to continue with it. My 12 sessions came to an end last week. I would 100% renew more sessions with Jenise if it weren’t for my mother looking to join a gym with me. Right now, my finances and time aren’t allowing me to afford both, but I know for certain Jenise and I will be training again in the future. I can tell she has made a STRONGER me and I don’t want to lose any of what I have worked for this past month! If you are hesitant, I get that. Truly. But give it a shot. Jenise is wonderful. Trust her, she knows exactly what you need. I'm so glad I trusted her on this journey. I highly recommend CW3 to everyone!

I have taken Gentle Yoga with Asya at Sun & Moon for years. When I heard that she was offering a more personalized therapeutic class, I jumped at the chance to address my particular problems -- back issues, bad knee, Morton's neuroma in my toes -- all things that made some yoga poses very challenging for me. It was wonderful to have her focus on my issues, and she helped me develop a personal practice to work on these things. She responded very promptly and offered to come to my home for an assessment and first meeting. She was so friendly and understanding of my needs. Her personality clicked with me and she devised a plan to strengthen my muscles and help me get on shape. I normally go to her home studio but she comes to my home if I am unable to go to hers. I appreciate the variety of exercises she teaches me and trust her judgement when she pushes me. We laugh a lot as well! When I started training with Sean I was a 39 year old mother of two. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I didn't exercise; didn't really know how to, and I certainly didn't watch what I ate. That's not the role model I wanted to be for my kids. I didn't want to be the mom who sat on the sidelines and watched her kids lives go by. I found Sean through a co-worker. Convenience...Expertise...Results: I was looking for a personal trainer to get back into shape. I work in an Emergency Department with a schedule that has me going from a 7a shift to an 11p shift to a 3p shift all in the same week! Despite this crazy schedule, Arris has ALWAYS been able to schedule a time that was convenient for me! He was interested in learning about my health issues and my goals. As a matter of fact, once I got started, he helped me to loose 1-2 pounds each week! He designed a program specifically tailored to help me to get on the road to achieve my goals. He made modifications to my exercise regimen so that I was able to workout efficiently without concern that I would sustain further damage to my dodgy knee or exacerbate my plantar fasciitis. During one of my sessions, I mentioned to him that I was recently started on insulin. He listened to my concerns and, at our next session, it was quite clear that he had researched DM, as well as strategies to help me cope with fluctuations in my blood sugars that could occur with exercise. He has even offered to go grocery shopping with me to find foods that would help control my blood sugars, as well as give me energy. On the occasion when my schedule would not permit me to complete a session, Arris e-mailed me with a regimen that could be done at home. I highly recommend Arris Kontos and TwentyFourTraining without reservation!

Sam Turay is a great personal trainer; he is highly attentive to helping his clients reach their personal goals through educating clients on the proper techniques of exercise and eating healthy. I can’t say enough good things about Julian! We definitely hit the jackpot with him and in a very short time, he’s become a great trainer, mentor and role model for my 15 year old son who has wanted to increase his strength/stamina while working on his soccer skills. Julian very quickly responded to my search for a personal trainer and was incredibly professional during our introductory call. It was evident that his knowledge of /experience with soccer as a player and coach would be a good match for my son. He also shared his philosophy about strength training with kids, specifically how he seeks to understand what motivates and is important to them, so he could then weave in his expertise which ultimately would result in a truly customized program to help accomplish their goals. To put it succinctly for those that don’t want to read this whole review..... Julian, as my personal trainer, is phenomenal!  He is super knowledgeable, well trained, educated, I would say an expert about training the body to get the results you want. He has a great energy, enthusiasm, and passion for getting you in the best shape you can be!  I can't recommend him highly enough. I chose to work with Julian, personal trainer and owner of Prepare for Performance, cause he listened to what my goals were and his approach to over all strengthening fit with me. I love how he mixes up the workouts always focus on engaging my core in everything we do. I have never really exercised or been into fitness because weight was never an issue, until I hit my mid 40s. Feeling really fatigued, bad posture, headaches, gravity.... Working with Julian is so important to me because able to judge my abilities and push them just the right amount. He plans the workout so that I'm pushing my limits every session. While I whine and complain he gets me through it.  Even with all the technology, YouTube ect...these are not workouts I could do on my own.  Every session is different, challenging, and feels wholly customized so I may reach my goals. Working out with Julian may be my best decision of the year.  My posture is so much improved, I have upper body strength *for the first time in my life*, I am able to do things I would never have done before and feel great (while I am still not thrilled with how I look,there are improvements, I actually will take my shirt off and swim. god, I missed swimming!) You cannot put a price tag on feeling the best physically you have in years. Aric has opened my eyes and subjected my body to a form of training that was entirely foreign to me (and will be to many other former athletes, weekend warriors, or sedentary desk workers), and yet something I now believe is absolutely vital to almost all human beings. Training with Aric will improve your FLEXIBILITY (increased range of motion, decreased pain, and increased strength through proper muscle function), BALANCE, CONCENTRATION (Train Mindfully as Aric would say), COORDINATION, and of course STRENGTH. An unanticipated benefit is that it may also have you BREATHING BETTER (improved endurance, less anxiety, more energy) than you ever have before. Here's a little about my story that may ring a bell to many people out there: I was a former college soccer player who had suffered a couple sport-related injuries left me unable to find my way back to the field for about 2 years. I had tried multiple physical therapists, chiropractic, you name it to regain my athletic prowess. What I DIDN'T realize that the things affecting me most weren't my ankle or knee surgeries, but rather the imbalances, weaknesses, and compensations I had developed from years of bad posture sitting in a desk job and doing traditional workouts at the gym. MANY IF NOT ALL of you have these without realizing it and you're robbing yourself of feeling and performing your best.To give you an idea of the types of issues I was dealing with and you may be dealing with here are a few examples: anterior pelvic tilt, shortened hip flexors, hip misalignment, tight neck, inflexible shoulders, tight pectoral muscles (thanks a lot bench press), weak core strength (six pack "abs" are not core strength), and more. These types of things DO NOT go away in a workout or two as they're built up over a number of years; your body is great at adapting (unfortunately in most cases with people who work a 9-5 at a desk this is a bad thing). I can pretty confidently say that Aric is one of the only personal trainers in the DC area adept at identify these types of issues, and coming up with the perfect plan to correct them. If you are an athlete looking to improve your performance or return after an injury, a sedentary desk worker experiencing back or knee pain, or just ANY HUMAN BEING give Aric a call. I guarantee that his breadth of knowledge and mindful training techniques will have you feeling better than you have in years. If you want an overnight solution I recommend you stop reading this right now and go back to whatever fantasy land you live in. If you're willing to be patient and put in the time and effort it takes to see improvement the RIGHT way (i.e. helping your body versus hurting it more through "traditional" methods) then I highly suggest you get in with Aric before his business blows up and he no longer has time for new clients. I was in the gym one afternoon. I was in "getfit" mode! What I really wanted was a personal trainer to whip me into shape for my wedding and motivate me to go to the gym. I had hired trainers numerous times before, but had not yet found one in DC. Then, there, on the other side of the gym, was Sean, training another woman who lived in my building. He looked friendly and had an athletic build - a good indicator that he would understand how to coach me, an athletic woman, in toning my muscles and strength training. I told Sean that I wanted toned arms and shoulders and a sculpted, muscular, sexy back. My principal goal was to look fit and fabulous in my wedding gown. Of course, toning and honing the rest of me wouldn't be okay by me too! After our first session, I could tell Sean knew what he was doing. He definitely had a better sense of how to get me to the body that I wanted than had any of my other trainers. I started working with Sean twice a week, every week. He encouraged me do aerobic exercise on the other days of the week, particularly encouraging the treadmill and elliptical machine. He was always positive and enthusiastic about reaching my fitness goals. His attitude was very motivational! One month after we started training together, I found my wedding gown. It was strapless, with a fitted bodice, sculpted waist, large skirt, and it dipped down in a "V" shape at the back. While placing the order for my dress, the seamstress took my measurements - waist, chest, hips, thighs. I took a deep breath - I wanted to be smaller and more fit by my wedding day. Sean and I had our work cut out for us - only a beautifully sculpted back, strong arms, and cut shoulders would do the dress justice. Every day that we met, Sean put me through a rigorous routine of upper and lower body exercises and core strengthening routines. Within a month or so, my balance had improved markedly and exercises that had been difficult and tiring at the start were no longer as challenging. Sean always mixed up the routines, as well, so that my muscles didn't get used to any particular moves. Sean tracked my progress through monthly fitness assessments. These indicated improvement, but my first dress fitting would be the ultimate test. The women at the bridal shop smiled and gathered around to watch me try on the dress. I was amazed at how much the dress had to be taken in. Since purchasing my dress earlier in the year, my measurements had all gone down by at least one inch! I was thrilled and couldn't take my eyes off the mirror, where I caught glimpses of the increasingly defined muscles on my back, arm and shoulders. The improvement that I was seeing was an amazing motivator. I ultimately went from a size 8/10 to a size 4/6 for the first time in more than 8 years! The more results I saw, the more fervent I became in our exercise sessions. I was dropping clothing sizes, ultimately finding myself at a size 4/6 for the first time in at least 8 years, and developing musculature I hadn't seen in ages. Friends and family notice the transformation and I was thrilled! My husband and I recently received the photos from our wedding. 237 to 180 pounds! I have been a chronic weight gain/loss yoyo for 20 years starving myself to get down to 200 pounds and then rocketing back up to 230 pounds in a few weeks. My daughter suggested that I get a personal trainer and working with Sean has been the best investment I have ever made. This time would be different. I went on a long term low fat diet and over a period of 8 months reduced my weight down to 200 pounds. And then I flat-lined (again) and began to yoyo around 200 pounds. I decided to hire Alexey after I have been going to the gym for years. I have a naturally thin frame and it was very difficult for me to put on muscle, especially the booty area. I went to the gym, I did my cardio, I did classes even crossfit, but not much was working for me. I realized that I was wasting my time until I find a good program that works. Specifically I was looking for a training program that would develop my glute area and a nutrition program to support proper growth. I had an amazing experience with Coach Alexey! I purchased a package of personal training sessions, which were conducted at his Forak Fysique studio. What I like most about Coach Alexey is that he did not have me do any confusing gimmicks or silly movements that so many other trainers focus on. He not only developed an amazing program for me to follow for months to come, but he set up proper form on important compound exercises, such as the squat, deadlift, bench, etc. I also signed up for a diet plan, which he updated every two weeks. I still continue to have my diets and training plans updated by Forak Fysique and take several training sessions per month to keep myself updated. Overall, I've lost 20 pounds, but most importantly I gained quality muscles in my glute and leg region. I'm proud of my toned body and a very happy client! Folks, I cannot stress this enough. I am someone diagnosed with moderate/severe Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, which caused problems with my immune system, digestion, and weight. I am very proud and humbled whenever I receive compliments about my physique. But, the truth is, it has not always been this way for me, and I could never have done this without my friend and personal trainer of almost 8 years, Daniel T. Saunders. He is one of the best things to happen to my life in terms of the way I look as well as my overall health. I feel better — not just because I look better now — but also because my health is better than before. He helped me with my diet, he's worked with me through my hectic teaching schedule, rehabbed my personal injuries, and he's greatly turned my life around. I have been working with Daniel for about 4 years. Seeing constant Improvement and keeping me healthy. Without having a trainer I don't think I would have made many gains. I had an unfortunate accident about a year ago which caused a spinal cord injury. I was in the hospital for 2 months and then out patient recovery there after. After OT I continued to go back to Daniel. I have seen significant improvements over what I was getting for the last couple months in OT. He always knows the right exercise to make you work hard. I can't even tell a difference except some weakness in my left leg. I really give props to Daniel for helping me through this and continuing to keep me strong. It's great finding a trainer who takes such personal interest in your health. I've been training with Nate several times a week for over 5 years, and I couldn't be more pleased with my progress, fitness level (strength, duration, flexibility), and the ongoing challenge and diversity of workouts -- they're never boring and incorporate strength, stability and core, time under tension, and functional training for every part of my body. In addition, Nate's a nice guy with a great sense of humor, so the workouts are tough but enjoyable. After his initial assessment, he continued to take the time to get know me individually and has a vested interest in my health, well being, strengths, and weaknesses (he enjoys identifying and having me work on my weaknesses!). Melanie was at absolutely amazing trainer.I reached out to her a few weeks postpartum and told her about my unique situation just having had a baby and needing to get back to shape quickly. First of all, she understood the fact that being recently pregnant, and having a baby it would take at least 8 weeks before I was able to begin working out. She was knowledgeable about how there is a difference between postpartum training and regular training. Once we started working together, she was just so helpful understanding the need to strengthen my pelvic floor/core and not just the external abdominal muscles.
