Latest Review: My seven year old son began taking piano lessons for the first time about one year ago. We tried several teachers until Zachary found one that he liked. Zach has had a one hour lesson per week at Mr. Bennett's studio. Zach has progressed nicely and really loves his lessons and playing and practicing at home. The lessons are a mix of serious teaching and effort, and laughter. In addition to the structured progress through the lesson material, Mr. Bennett spends time, usually at the beginning or end of a lesson, to work with Zach on one of his favorite Bethoven tunes. We highly recommend Mr. Bennett as a professional, experienced piano teacher who obviously loves his profession.

Latest Review: When I first started taking lessons with Mark in January 2012, I was an adult beginner, most self-thought though I briefly took lessons from another teacher before. I could not play the easiest etudes by Czerny at that point (well, at least not properly). Without bragging or exaggerating, I can say that he transformed the way I play and understand piano music. What I especially like about Mark's teaching is that it's systematic and structured. Learning a new piece starts with analyzing it, understanding why a specific tempo is indicated, perhaps even learning about the composer and the historical context of the piece. This way, I don't simply memorize the notes, but actually understand what and why I play. When I face technical difficulties, he always deconstructs them and suggests the way to practice that actually works. He also has excellent suggestions for your repertoire. Over the years, I attended several recitals of his students, and observed incredible progress in most of the kids and adults he teaches. Overall, I would highly recommend him as a piano teacher for a beginner or a serious musician.

Latest Review: We hired Dr. Dubler to play the piano for one hour for my son's 2 year old birthday party. It was important to us because our child can't play typical games because he has cerebral palsy, but he loves music! Dr. Dubler played the nursery rhymes that we requested, plus a variety of age-appropriate music. He was just wonderful and made the day very special!

Latest Review: Diana came to me “out of the blue” and the timing was perfect……I had not touched my piano in three years; my favorite piano teacher had moved away, and somehow I thought he could never be replaced, and seemingly, just gave up! (I might as well mention here that I am a woman “of a certain age”….. well ok, I’ll admit to being somewhere over 50!) I had my first lesson with Diana almost exactly a year ago and although embarrassed at my rustiness, she quickly put me at ease and made things comfortable by bringing out some nice, easy teacher/student duets. Soon we were laughing together on the bench and I was actually having fun. I don’t remember ever having FUN during piano lessons ! Diana has honed her considerable skills sharply over her teaching career, and you will know that from your first meeting. She is truly excited about teaching and I have learned more in this one year with her than four with my previous beloved teacher and - hardly do they count – but the 2 others before him and one after. It seems like I knew nothing but how to read, and during this year she has given me many lovely pieces to vary my practice and at the same time, increase my reading skills. I didn’t know a thing about theory and honestly, was not even vaguely interested in knowing a thing! That’s all changed. Diana can inspire even the most stubborn of us to want to know more – to play more – and best of all, for me - to actually have fun while we’re practicing, with her or without her. I cannot say enough about how happy I am to be one of her students and I am recommending her for any age, at any stage! She will bring out the best in you. Linda D. on October 15, 2015
