Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do house cleaners cost in Atlanta?

The best house cleaners in Atlanta charge between $80 and $135. However, this cost is subject to change at any time and will vary depending on your needs. For example, the type of cleaning you need may impact the price. A standard cleaning, move-out cleaning or deep cleaning will likely all have different costs. Also, some cleaners charge different prices based on the number of bedrooms, and others offer extra services such as window or appliance cleaning. If you have something special that needs to be cleaned, such as mold, be sure to check with your house cleaner to see how much they charge.

How do I find a junk removal service in Atlanta?

To find junk removal services in Atlanta, conduct an online search for pros in the area. Then, compare these pros’ ratings and customer reviews. Pay attention to photos uploaded by clients — these let you gauge the quality of the pros' work.

Take some time to look into the pros’ credentials and expertise. And, finally, compare estimates and quotes from different junk removal companies in the Atlanta area. This will help ensure you pay a fair price for junk removal services.

How do I choose the best house cleaning service in Atlanta?

When searching for the best house cleaning or maid service in Atlanta, read house cleaning reviews and look for the photos of the companies’ past work. Also, if you see a Top Pro badge in a house cleaner’s profile, this is a sign that the house cleaner is one of the most top-rated cleaners on Thumbtack.

Atlanta homeowners should also consider their home type, budget and industry experience when looking for the best cleaning service. For example, because Atlanta is known for its hot and muggy summers, it’s a good idea to ask the cleaner or service what type of experience they have with preventing and cleaning mold inside homes.

What’s the best way to set up a consultation or an appointment with a junk removal service during the COVID-19 pandemic?

You can set up consultations and appointments with a junk removal service near you during the COVID-19 pandemic by messaging the professional of your choice in an online search. Ask if they are willing to set up a video call to assess the project and answer any questions you have. Discuss a strategy for staying safe during the job, including sticking to guidelines on social distancing as well as paying through digital platforms instead of cash or check.

How can I find out if a junk removal service is considered an essential COVID-19 service provider?

Junk removal may be considered essential in certain cases during the COVID-19 pandemic. A good place to start is by searching your city or state government’s website for a list of guidelines.

For national guidelines, visit CISA’s Identifying Critical Infrastructure During COVID-19 webpage, which identifies 16 types of essential infrastructure sectors that can continue operating during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, not all jurisdictions follow CISA’s definitions of critical infrastructure.

What’s the best way to set up a consultation or an appointment with a house cleaner during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The best way to set up a consultation with a house cleaner during the COVID-19 pandemic is by using virtual, online tools. Start by performing an online search for local house cleaners. How much does it cost to haul off junk?

The average cost to haul away junk is $150, though this price can be expected to vary between around $75 and $375, depending on several factors.

The first factor is the quantity of junk removed. Most junk removal services charge by the truckload, and most residential projects only require filling up part of a truckload.

Another factor is the type of junk. E-waste like computers and TVs may cost more to dispose of, as will more hazardous materials like mercury, paint and used motor oil. It also may cost more to remove big items like beds and couches.

I am a real estate professional and one of my clients needed a cleaning for their rental property before a tenant moves in. I reached out very last minute, and still, Sweetest Lemon Cleaning Srvs were up for the task and had great communication skills. The end result was also very satisfying. I will hire them again without a doubt.

He showed up on time to give me a quote and completed the job efficiently in the same day! I was so pleased with his work that he went to another property of mine the same day and got that one squared away as well. This duo was very professional and respectful and did a good job cleaning everything out for me.

Honor what you say you will do. I went over the specifics of what I needed done before hiring you and I told you I needed the windows clean and you said you would wipe down the windows. I specify that this was a new move-in went to a rental property that my mother had very sensitive allergies. So I expected them to be clean. But you really meant you woul wipe them off meaning if the dirt didn’t come up, it would just stay there. But I guess you all felt you did your job by simply wiping it, not necessarily making sure it was clean. From the floors to the bathrooms to the windows, my mother had to re-clean after paying you all over $200 to clean it
