I truly LOVED working with Cooking with a star Catering. A buffet style wasn't what I had originally wanted, but what I had to do for our budget. They have changed my opinion about buffet weddings forever! The food was what sold us right away at our tasting. We couldn't wait the 9 months to have the roast again it was that yummy! I have several compliments from our guests on how great the food was and was presented, and let's be honest wedding food isn't always the best. Once you go to a tasting you will understand, the food and service are way above the price you pay for. Using them felt like a steal! Kendra was so easy to work with and the communication was great. GeGee on the day of was such an angel. She was extremely attentive to myself and the groom, always making sure I had food or a drink. My husband and I ended up having seconds because I enjoyed my meal that much. You cannot go wrong with using this amazing catering company.
They catered my reception for 80 people. Vincent was one of the two caterers whose first reply responded to my request for a vegan menu with creative suggestions and ample selections. He was promptly responsive at all times during the planning stage. They were better than on time, they arrived a bit early. Travis set everything up, served, and interacted well with the guests. The food was attractively presented, had great visual appeal and best of all tasted great. His cleanup afterward was impeccable. I highly recommend GHI.

Kelsey, as it turned out, did not only drop-off the meal for our dinner party, but she served as personal chef, doing much of the preparation in my home. She prepared a fantastic New Year's Eve meal for 11 of us, working with us to arrive at a wonderful menu that satisfied everyone's very individualized culinary needs and requirements. Communication with her in advance was smooth and prompt. She arrived at exactly the time she said she would, made herself comfortable in my kitchen, presented fantastic appetizers, and then served a meal that was well-prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. In addition to her culinary skills, she has a delightful and friendly personality. She clearly enjoys what she does, and she truly exceeded our expectations.
The Bountiful Basket was our caterer for our wedding on July 10. There is not enough that could be said about what Mike and his team did for us. They were way more than caterers. Mike handled everything: tables, tents, chairs, dinnerware, glassware for both our wedding and our rehearsal dinner. His staff was so very professional and on the ball. And the food....WOW. It was incredible evidenced by the fact that there was very little left. His mac and cheese is unique and fantastic. The shrimp and grits were fabulous and he makes fried chicken just like your grandmother. Please seriously consider The Bountiful Basket for any catering event. You will not be sorry. Thanks Mike and crew you made our day perfect.
We had a delightful pasta bar that far outreaches my expectations. The food was delicious and the presentation was phenomenal. I will definitely cater my next event here!!!
I had a party for 75 people and they made it super easy. I pretty much just sat back and enjoyed the party. Set up to clean up was done beautifully and the food got rave reviews. We did a "backwards party" it was breakfast at night in pjs for 75 teenagers. Will use again in a heartbeat.
Chef Brads southern cuisine was great. They are new but very professional and as if they’ve been in business for years. Will always use and recommend them for any catering/decorating job!
I had a brunch for 40 at my home this past weekend. Right from the get-go Ali was very responsive. She has a great variety of offerings and we were able to quickly select the menu. I chose to hire her for service as well, which was great because the food was fresh out of my kitchen and she also decorated my dining table beautifully. Ali came to the house before the event to see the kitchen and how to layout the buffet. She arrived early for the brunch, along with her husband and son, and stayed afterwards to completely clean up. All the food was delicious - beef tenderloin, shrimp creole, grilled vegetables, fresh sliced fruit, and particularly the Kentucky Derby bars. I also asked for bagels and salmon, and Ali added special butters and nut butters to the spreads. Ali is very professional and obviously takes great pride in her work. I will definitely be using her services again in the future!
Nikki is an excellent chef - food was delicious. She was on time and was very personable! The young men she brought with her were so nice! I had asked for her to prepare extra homemade croutons for me to have the next day and though she said of course I suspect in the haste to leave she forgot them. ( By the way they were great!) The only comment I would make in using a chef versus my regular caterers is that Nikki and her team planned to leave while we were eating dessert. In doing so I would have been left to clean all those dishes ( 10 seated guests) and wine glasses myself. She said that was the way she always did things. None of my caterers have ever done that -- that is part of what you are paying for ($700+) to enjoy your evening and have no work to do ! Just being hostess is enough getting the house and flowers and table set! Nikki knew we had 50 people arriving post dinner for an after party and needed the dinner dishes all pulled and cleaned - was very disappointed that we had to discuss that at the last minute! I had hired a separate bartender for the glasses to be taken care at the post party. I expected her to not do any of those dishes. I did ask her to place trays of desserts I had prepared on the "cleaned off" dining table when they finished. ( I paid them a handsome tip for doing this) Also - I have never had a caterer use the dishwasher for my dishes - I have always found them hand washed and stacked in kitchen. Nikki's team loaded my dishwashers (2) with the hand painted china and sterling flatware. I should have explained that is not done - my mistake, I just haven't had to before. She is an EXCELLENT CHEF! Services are not as "easy" on the host and her familiarity with things like the china and silver should be discussed before hand. Be very specific about every detail on how you see the evening going - write it up so you both know. We had Sea Bass and It Was Amazing!
I was so pleased working with Cabakis catering last month that I'm looking forward to having them cater my networking meeting this month as well. They provided a delicious full dinner for 15 and saved me a whole days work!
We hired Troy to be the DJ at our son's rehearsal dinner. Troy was prompt and played great music during dinner After dinner,people were slow to dance so Troy got the party started. He even did a line dance with some of the people on the dance floor. People danced and had a great time Several people asked for Troy's contact information! Troy was wonderful and I will definitely use him again
I hired Daddy's Girl BBQ catered my friends bridal shower and it was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning, Markie was very responsive, honoring all my menu request. Her staff did a walk through of the venue beforehand to come up with a plan for set up and get acquainted with the venue. They do more than BBQ, our menu was brunch: shrimp and grits, waffles bar, fried chicken, eggs, turkey sausage, salad, pasta salad, and fruit. It was served buffet style in nice chaffing dishes with staff that was there most of our event. They were professional, courteous, and on time. All the guests were very impressed and many of their business cards were requested. I will most definitely be using Daddy's Girl BBQ again. Very impressed.

I discussed a catered dinner at my home with Sabrina but was unable to coordinate with the other couples. She was personable, quick, creative and gave me a great proposal. I truly believe we lost out by going to a restaurant instead of using Chef Bree.
