As a beginning pianist, she understood where I was and knew exactly what I needed to do to more effective practice. She has helped me fix several mistakes that I have made while I was teaching myself to learn piano. Although I honestly think she's at times "too" professional, I would definitely recommend her for people like me who are new to piano but would like to use their money to progress faster, fix mistakes and move towards the right direction.

About

Having taught myself guitar and singing in my early high school years, I learned the hard way to get to where I am today. I am an Emory University graduate who majored in music and was a vocal performance major. I have my own tutoring business outside of Thumbtack, and I offer classes in many other areas via other teaching websites (such as TakeLessons). My philosophy is to teach beginners and intermediates a more effective way to learn and retain knowledge on guitar by learning from the mistakes I made growing up.

About

I have been a ballroom dancer for 7 years and have danced in competitions and taken private and group lessons from some of the best. I have taught both ballroom (more smooth than rhythm) and hip-hop. I have danced in a small pop group for two years, and am studying dance and musical theater at the university. I am happy to share my skills. I am patient and give clear instructions.

About

I have been a professional musician for 51 years and have done numerous engagements, both in the performance and recording areas of this business. I can tailor my method of teaching to the students' expectations or give them a combination that meets their needs, along with reasonable explanations about theory. Ultimately, if the student is a beginner, intermediate, or an advanced player, I am sure that they will be happy with the results.

Mason did a great job teaching song writing by communicating the big picture of what we were trying to accomplish as well as give practical goals to focus on every day to work towards an end product of songs I could be very happy with.

Trey has been patient and persistent, but never pushy, in his follow-ups to have my first guitar lesson. It is something I have truly appreciated. I'm really thankful to start playing guitar after a 25-year hiatus. I'm grateful to have such a talented musician and guitarist in my corner to help me become better.
