Joe has been a great resource for me in the area of health and fitness. He has this intuitive understanding of how the parts of the body interact in a given movement, and is very good about explaining them in a way that I can understand. The emphasis Joe put on basic barbell movements (especially in the beginning of my training) led to surprisingly quick improvements in strength, which was also great for my morale. In less than a year my squat went from under 100lbs to nearly 350, and my bench press improved by over 100 pounds. Since that time, I have turned to Joe for advice on nutrition and supplements, programming, and exercises to prevent/rehab injuries or correct strength imbalances. I would recommend Joe to anyone interested in barbell training or general fitness.
Versa is an up beat work out environment. Great training staff and alway there to help the clients out. The training staff is very well educated and know what works for different members. The atmosphere is really friendly and the members take time to get to know the new comers. It is the best program I have seen in action.
We've just started working together, but It doesn't take long to know that Rick knows training. Here's what I know so far from a general business standpoint: Rick is punctual - always where he's supposed to be when he says he'll be there Easy communication - always returns calls, emails, and texts He's very engaging - never any awkward silences in between sets - he's always got something relevant to say Fairly priced Easy to pay - this is overlooked sometimes - but he takes credit cards, personal checks, and good old fashioned cash. Has a very pleasant, easy going demeanor - no judgement here. And believe when I say it would be real easy to judge me (6'3", 315 lbs) He's very good at encouragement. You can tell that he WANTS you to succeed - he WANTS you to achieve your goals. I'm generally pretty skeptical of all the rah-rah stuff - but you can tell that Rick is sincere. His workout facility is well equipped and comfortable I was an athlete at a former life stage, so I know a little about training. I think I'm well equipped to see through any BS - and I haven't seen any from Rick. Here's what I know about Rick professionally: He knows training - He's got me doing some movements that I haven't seen before that are really effective - I can feel the burn where we're targeting. And of course, we're doing the 'ol standbys too. Curls, presses, etc., but he's a stickler for proper form - if you're not doing it right, you won't get the benefits - he keeps you focused on form He's teaching me about training, not just going through the motions. In between exercises, he's teaching me how to listen to my body, what to watch for, what to look for, and what to do when I see those triggers. Rick knows nutrition - he's giving me solid direction on what to eat, when to eat, and how to get those muscles recovered and ready for the next session. I would recommend Rick to anyone, young or old, in any kind of shape - It's been a real pleasant experience.
Bill was a great trainer to work with. He knows how to get your muscle built up and your endurance up as well. Bill is extremely knowledgeable with various training exercises. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer.
Julius is one of the most incredible trainers out there. His training is very functional and he keeps it interesting. Every day is different, and he really focuses on what will help each individual client. One thing that helps Julius stand out is his ability to build relationships with his clients. His positive attitude is contagious, as he makes sure everybody is having a good time when they are working out, even when it is exhausting and you feel that you are spent. I have never been able to push myself as hard as I did with Julius, and I can attribute that to his ability to get the best out of his clients.
We have just started but so far it is going really well and Jim is very sensitive to the dogs and my needs. Because I am handicapped he has made some adjustments that are very appropriate.
