My grandson just started piano lessons with Nicholas and has already learned quite a lot. He (grandson) is always excited to go to his lessons, almost pushing us out the door for fear he will be late! I was searching for someone to teach piano to my grandson, someone who he would be eager and excited to learn from. I don't think I could have found a better match!
My teenager wakes up on Saturday mornings for piano lessons! That's how good Harmony is! Can't recommend it enough.
Fiddlin Frog teaches music the way it should be taught. The fundamentals of reading music, music theory and and technique are interwoven with fun and ways to enjoy playing different music. I believe our kids will enjoy playing music long into adulthood because of their experience at Fiddlin Frog.
Taking lessons with Ana was my first guitar lesson experience. She creates a very supportive and relaxed atmosphere which was helpful for me to find focus. She plays beautifully and I personally found her classical training to be of benefit. I was delightfully surprised that after only a few lessons and no previous training I was able to read and play the lessons in short order. Ana helped me to build my confidence and she was very flexible when it came to life interrupting lesson schedules. I had to put lessons on hold but I can't wait to sit down again with Ana. This girl has a passion for music and it comes through with each lesson. Thanks Ana!
We have really enjoyed having our daughter take piano lessons from Tawna. She does very well with kids. Tawna is very professional and wants your student to succeed. I love that she uses whatever method will work best for your students learning ability rather than teaching out of only one! I really love that she uses the TCW Theory Gymnastics.
She is great! My daughter really enjoys her lessons.
Great instructor! Ian does a good job at meeting people at their skill level; he does well at bringing together music theory and practical application.
Becca is a fantastic teacher in all aspects of music. Her love for music and her desire to share that love with her students is what makes her a truly gifted teacher. She also is always continuing her pursuit of music along side her students. The passion for learning is a quality that Becca shares well and desires to see in the hands of many.
Both Andi and Sean Kane have taught my kids music at many different levels, voice and instrumental. Every experience was amazing! They are gifted teachers and musicians, and have added immensely to our family's love of music.
Esther's love for all things musical borders on all-out nerdiness. She can talk in-depth about everything from operatic to Radiohead. That makes her an engaging and convincing coach. Her broad knowledge enabled her to cater my vocal lessons to the style I was looking for, which was probably different than a lot of vocal students. She's patient, practical, smiles a lot and will be enthusiastic about the direction you want to go. I've been singing untrained for years, and she was able to pinpoint everything about my singing that DID work and what NEEDED work very quickly. I would absolutely recommend her services. Esther is tremendous.
I teach private and group piano lessons, ages four and up. I offer services at all levels, from beginning through advanced. I do particularly enjoy teaching the intermediate-level student. I also offer recreational music-making groups, geared toward adults. These groups are taught in 8- to 12-week sessions and are focused groups.
Natalie is a talented piano instructor and possesses a very friendly teaching style. My daughter enjoys her and looks forward to going to her lesson each week!
I had Jinny teach my son to play the piano. He had no experience before starting with her. His progress was amazing, in 6 months he was wowing us with his ability to play some really great songs. (Maybe he is a prodigy, or maybe Jinny is that good, or a bit of both...) He is now completely adept at reading sheet music and comfortable with the piano. But, ever since she moved away from California my son has shown less interest in the piano, which is too bad. I need to find another teacher just like her!
My 13 year old daughter has been taking voice and piano with Jenn for several years and loves her lessons. Jenn manages to have her working on theory in addition to learning and performing contemporary and popular music pieces. Jenn is not only a great music coach, she is also well organized. Lesson times are held to and what to practice at home is written down. We are so glad she was recommended to us!
Hello, and thank you for looking on Thumbtack for a private instructor! I teach piano, voice, and guitar to beginner through intermediate levels. I work with each individual and help them gain understanding and competence in what they want to do as a musician. I work with you at your own pace. I have a studio, which is not wheelchair accessible, and for those who are disabled, I will travel to you. I charge more to travel, but I charge everyone for the month in advance. At the studio, I charge $25 per half-hour lesson and $45 per hour. So for 4 weeks, that would equal $100 or $180. If there are five lessons in a month, then the price is adjusted accordingly, i.e., $125 and $225. If I am traveling to you, my prices are $35 per half hour and $55 per hour. My location is 5 minutes north of the airport and 6 minutes west of downtown Boise. The address is 355 N Orchard, upstairs in Suite 207.
I have taught lessons for over 15 years and have over 35 students. I am big on theory and make it fun. That is why I have a lot of students that I have taught for more than 4 years.
I can teach singing, piano, music theory, music software (Ableton and Logic), and also instrument building. I love music to my core and would like to share this with students, young and old.
Marina holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in vocal performance as well as an Idaho teaching certification with a music endorsement. Marina has more than two years of musical theater and stage performance experience, including professional theater, comedy, jazz and opera.
I'm a student so I enjoy learning just as much as my students. I believe I can learn as much from them as they can learn from me.
We provide opportunities for multi-generational lessons for students from toddlerhood through adulthood. We teach through mutual collaboration in our individual Lessons and group Hootenannies. We inspire our students to play music in their own homes, so we invite them to play music in our cozy home studio environment instead of an isolated practice room. Our students not only learn their instrument of emphasis at their lessons, but enjoy dabbling on many other instruments during the Hootenanny sessions. Hootenannies are a group learning experience emphasizing: -"Open mic” performance time -A featured instrument demonstration -A multi-instrumental jam session -Easy chord-theory application in a common key We find our approach allows our students to become true musicians as they understand how to apply their learning with group playing and transfer their skills to other instruments. We teach the following instruments: Violin/fiddle Guitar Piano Drum set Harmonica Banjo Ukulele Mandolin Cajon Shuitar & Percussion
I am able to teach piano, guitar, voice, and music lessons. I have many years of professional musical playing experience as well as 15 years of teaching music.
