nothing to recommend but just to share my story. --- Fact evaluation: Progress tracked by Matt Johnson Trained by Marcin Grobelny (instagram- @grobelnym) Training Time - October 2016- June 2017 Training Intensity- three hour per week Aim- slim down, lose fat and lose weight. Life Outside Training (when I do not have session with trainer)- cardio (cardio), and 17 running races plus 1 bike event in 9 months (how I spent my lazy weekends). Life Outside Training (reality)- a Mon- Fri job that sit in front of the computer 9-6, sometimes weekday OT till late night, or might take my weekend too. Results- more toned up, people no longer say "it seems like you are a little bit less chubby" but "you look slimmer", ~5% fat ratio down. --- This week marks my last week with Chitown Trainer, it has been a very very great 9 month with Marcin that I did not only learn about workout move but also the psychological, health and nutrition, workout and recovery chapters that is totally a bonus to me. Marcin has been my very first friend in town and probably one that I meet most frequent out of all these time. I learnt about his education, and I believe his academic background and body building experience has made him a very unique trainer because he had been educating me in a all-rounded manner. As time goes, I started to learn more about my body and my mindset, as well as the key to stay consistent and balance through out my days. I eventually train harder and more frequent; and be more honest with myself about the diet and I have dropped my fat ratio through all the months. One thing that I did not expect to happen, is that I actually improved from 32min/5k to 27 min/5k in less than 4 months' time. I did not pick up any running training, I enjoy food fest in the new year, I had deep dish and (quite a lot of) cheat meal, but still, a 5 minute improvement in such a short distant run are actually all from the hard work from weight lifting with Marcin. I used to fear leg day as I started because lower body training back in middle school basketball time has bulk me up so much. However, now I start to love my leg days more -- and as a result I am getting a little big addictive with running as well, which I used to think it is super-very-extremely-so-boring. With the encouragement form Marcin, I actually run more than I thought I would. Counting back the weeks, I have nailed 18 city-events in 9 month's time. Given that Chicago is not my home city, this is definitely a life time PR. Meeting Marcin has definitely become a motion to get up early as we train at 0530 most of the time. As I am leaving Chicago, I would look forward to meet Marcin again with a more toned body to show off how I am able to apply things I learnt from him and all the hard work I put in even I am out of the country. --- Thank you Marcin!! :)

JT is fantastic trainer, I am on my 3rd week of training with him and I am already noticing results. He has designed a completely tailored monthly workout and meal plan. A small background on myself, I am a 23 year old male, with years of physical training from playing hockey. Despite all the prior training, I was amazed at how many exercises, even a simple exercise of benching, that I was not using proper form. JT is extremely detailed oriented and gives you several tips and tricks to isolate specific muscles to maximize each exercise. In addition, he is very friendly and excited to work with you each session, which has really helped keep me motivated while working towards my goals. Dan has been training me for the past 8 weeks and since we started working together, I've seen an incredible improvement in my strength, and my figure--this week I was able to fit back into my favorite pair of work pants that I haven't been able to fit in, in a year! When I first met with Dan I hadn't worked out in literally 2 years and was really nervous about all of it; however, Dan devoted an entire session to simply understanding me, the current state of my health, my habits, and helped me define where I wanted to be in my ideal future state. Dan then put together a customized program to ensure we could get there. As a woman, my one of my biggest concern was around "bulking up" from weight training as my body type lends itself to this if I'm not careful. I shared this with Dan and despite what I was sure would happen after the weight training, he's somehow made plan that made me smaller and noticeably toned up, and definitely not bulkier! In parallel, Dan has also really helped me with my poor eating habits--I'm a busy executive with little time to care or prepare food that is consistently healthy--and I sure do love Chicago cuisine. But every visit Dan would casually ask me what I planned to eat for the week and then give me directives on best options, grocery store lists, crackpot recipes, how to store my food, when to prepare it, and even where I can stop on the way home to get what I need for the next day :). . Dan has been a God send and reinvigorated my belief that I can take care of my health, actually meet my fitness goals, and truly enjoy it. I was doing high intensity interval training, which caused serious injuries to my knee and shoulder, so I wanted to get back into full body resistance training and cardio. After reading reviews, I chose Dan. It has been a wonderful ride ever since. He's very smart, thoughtful, and incredibly enthusiastic. He spends a great deal of time tracking your numbers so that there is genuine accountability as to the extent of your progress. After I saw the orthopedist about my shoulder and went to physical therapy, Dan took the recommended physical therapy exercises and integrated them directly into my workouts. Very creative; very cool. He's easy to communicate by text or email, and incredibly responsive. He's also very knowledgeable about the Chicago performing arts scene, which I enjoy discussing with him. Bottom line: I'm getting stronger; feeling more fit and confident; and not getting injured. Dan's been great.

Dan is terrific. I've only just begun working with him but already can tell that I'll benefit from his training. He focuses on functional training, understanding your body and your strengths and being conscious of health - from what you are eating, how much you are walking, etc. He keeps things moving during your session, provides you with a wealth of info, and ends each session with great stretching and a quick chair massage, which is awesome. I've never been one to go to the gym or workout because I would always start and never see any results. When I started with Andrew I wasn't sure what to expect. But after a month of having him as my personal trainer I always wonder why I haven't started sooner! He always keeps me motivated and makes working out fun! We have been training with Elijah - Physical Peak – for a little over a year now. My husband and I both have had great results. We love the ease and convince of having him train us in our home, without that we wouldn’t be making the life style changes we both have needed. He has helped coach us on nutrition changes also. About half way through our year we got pregnant and I have been able to continue working with him through my whole pregnancy, my doctor has said I am doing great and my health, blood test, blood pressure etc. has been right on track through my whole pregnancy. Mike is fantastic. He's an excellent trainer—motivational, knowledgeable, and low key. I'm so happy I found him. I was ready to get fit but knew I was far too lazy to do it on my own. He pushes me, but never to the point of possible injury, which does happen with less experienced trainers. More importantly, he's a doctor. He knows how to get you in shape due not only to his fitness expertise, but to his medical training. He won't toss you into some gorilla workout in the first session. Instead, he assesses you physically in terms of posture, body fat percentage, and overall fitness and ability. And then you start from there. I've already lost some weight, (in a pretty short time) and my muscle tone has improved. In addition, as people always say (usually when you don't want to hear it!) exercise is great for you psychologically as well. I always feel good physically and mentally after a session with Mike. Meeting Mike Rundell was the best thing that ever happened to me! He has changed my life in so many ways. He trained me for the better part of three years and in that time he focused on strength training and on nutrition...as many of you may know not a lot of trainers take the time because you are just $$$ but Dr. Mike sincerely cares that you achieve your goal. The very next day, over the consultation, we went over the scheduling details, payment and my goals. John was very nice as he answered all of my questions and told me what he could bring to the table as my trainer. We decided on a 3 month trial period since it was a good amount of time to see if this was a good fit for me. Aside from the reasonable pricing, the best part of MOR Athletic is that John comes to me for my sessions. After a long day at work, it's extremely convenient to be trained at home! He tailors every workout to my goals, pushes me in a positive, productive way, and is an excellent $ value. On top of that, he's true professional...sadly you don't find enough in this line of work. I met Jenny about 7-8 months ago when she joined the HIIT training gym I had recently joined. Jenny has amazing knowledge about everything when it comes to working out & nutrition. My wife and I have been training with Sam for over three years. He has proven to be a very knowledgable person in regards to health and fitness. He has successfully taught us both to train with kettle bells. He is a great teacher! We both train with kettle bells at an advanced level and it has been a great evolution. He is very in tune with our training goals and mindful of our individual needs. I have felt I have been given a great gift in finding Sam and being able to learn kettle bell training. My wife trains with Sam twice a week and I try to train with him monthly as my busy schedule won't allow more time. The beauty of kettle bells is that I am able to do high intensity workouts in my own home without an investment of a great deal of time. My training with Sam has allowed me to transform my body as I enter my 40's. I would consider myself a kettle bell trainer and only because of my time and learning from Sam. He has also helped me tremendously by teaching me stretching techniques that help to keep me healthy. We highly recommend Sam to any prospective client.

About five years ago I sought out the help of Sam Ziserson for problems I was having with hip and leg pain. Frankly, as a woman in my mid-fifties , I was worried that I was experiencing the inevitable aches and pains of middle age. Sam worked with me, focusing on my specific issues and I am very happy to report, I no longer experience any of the pain I once felt. I am stronger, and happier knowing that my work with Sam prepares me for a healthier future. Sam brings a sensitivity to training that I think is probably pretty rare. His is a whole person approach. He always meets me where I am, but is not afraid to push me just that little bit more to help me achieve real fitness. I would not consider working with any other trainer. After all, how many women my age can say that their twenty year old daughters have complemented them on how they look in a swim suit! One piece of course!

I began training with Sam while I was a sophomore in high school. As a competitive tennis player, I was hoping to gain an extra edge through strength training. Sam is unbelievable at helping you achieve your goals. I was able to add muscle mass, shed fat, increase my speed, and ultimately achieve a healthier lifestyle. I am a junior in college now and still train with Sam to this day. Sam is personable, funny, and most importantly an expert in his field. Dakota is a very dedicated and hardworking trainer/coach. In the past month of being his client, he has helped me to refine proper form in my lifts, which has helped me to improve and grow immensely as a powerlifting athlete. Dakota is very personable and caring as well. He accommodates to your schedule and responds in a very timely manner. He is also well-rounded in other aspects of health and fitness, e.g. nutrition, supplements, stretching, conditioning, etc. I would recommend Dakota to anyone that is looking to build strength or learn how to lift properly.
