I have worked out with Scott on and off for the past 10 years. My goals have varied from getting fit, to increasing strength and then recovering from a running injury. My year of Personal Training with Allen has been a great experience. I have accomplished more with getting this body together with Allen for one year than I had in 35 years (gym memberships, prepaid personal trainers and equipment at home) Allen really cares about helping you meet your goal and is dedicated to you reaching your goal in a safe non-competitve, personal setting. (well except that he makes is look easy sometimes..ok thats just my body rebelling against exercising..lol) I am only stopping training with Allen because I moved out of state.

Mike is a really great trainer. I have worked out with him two to three times a week for the past five years! Over that time I have lost weight, toned my muscles and increased my stamina. He makes a workout fun and plays good music. He is very knowledgable about the muscular-skeletal system and knows exactly what exercises to do to help you accomplish your specific goals. I've been doing personal training with Kira now for two weeks, and I couldn't be more pleased. I knew I needed some help and motivation to get active and start watching my nutrition when I couldn't keep up with my kids . After a search for trainers in my area I found Reji Bae who trained in a gym "fitness defined" near my neighborhood. I had my consultation with Reji in which we went over the details of scheduling, pricing and more importantly my goals. Reji is a very down to earth, holistic, calm, technically sound and most important patient person and these qualities one will learn about him in ones first meeting with him! I also informed him about my bad shoulders and stiff back at that time, which he took into account and devised my workouts keeping the injuries in mind. About Reji in a nutshell: (can't list everything here...one has to train with him to realize the zen!) - He will work with you on last minute schedule changes, and is himself very punctual and dedicated to the sessions. - Reji has a sense of humor that he will bring out during the session that will get you through a difficult set with a breeze but at the same time he will make sure that you push your self to achieve the goals and some more. - He started me off at a very realistic pace even though he knew that I use to be an athlete during my college days and was expecting to get into it right away...He wouldn't have none of that and realistically started me off at a pace that my body would respond positively to achieving my goals.( its been 5 months since I've been training with him and I'm in better health and shape than I was in my early 20s!) - He is technically very sound and with him its more about hitting the sweet spot first rather than the reps. "don't loose form" he says "even if you can't go all the way" or "cheat with technique" those are a few of his insightful quotes! All in all I'm very satisfied with my training and Reji has become more of a friend than a hired help. Enough said.
I made the best decision of my life when I joined Reygie and the rest of the Reactive family. My first visit was a consultation with Reygie. He asked me about my goals and told me how he would help with my objectives and most importantly he answered all of my questions. He was so down to earth and his energy was great. I was excited to find we could work out schedules so that I could have him as my trainer. I instantly knew he actually cared and was excited to help me reach my goal of getting back on a healthy path. I needed motivation, guidance, and someone who listened. I got all those things and so much more. Reygie will make you laugh, motivate you, guide you through the workouts, listen to your feedback and adjust whatever needs to be adjusted according to your needs on a daily basis. He is patient and has so much knowledge and although he is warm and friendly, he takes sessions seriously and strives to make sure you meet your goals. The gyms philosophy is exactly what I was looking for. Everyone is so nice and makes you feel right at home. Ultimately, Reygie has helped me feel the best i have in years and has started me on the right path to look the best I have in years. Most importantly he has taught me to love myself, regardless of anything! I look forward to my sessions I couldn't recommend him and the rest of the Reactive trainers more!

I have had such a wonderful experience training with Unicus Fitness. I am an amateur aerialist and I came here after a shoulder injury to try to build my strength back up. (I couldn't even open a door with the injured arm for almost a month after the injury.) I knew that if I kept going on my own the way I was it was only a matter of time before I injured myself again so I went looking for a trainer. I originally picked the place because it was close to work and had good reviews, but Frank's depth of knowledge and experience is astounding. I have learned so much about how my body works, how to push myself without hurting myself and all sorts of exercises I never would have known about if I hadn't come here. He customized my workouts to my specific needs and now I'm back in the air, swinging around with confidence. The gym itself has plenty of space and more fitness equipment than I've seen in one place outside a commercial warehouse store. The workouts are a little different each time as well, you will definitely not be bored. Regular physical activity results in adaptations that eventually result in improved physiological function. Exercise training makes use of this principle by planning and systematically applying exercise activities with the goal to optimize those adaptations and thus improve performance. A multitude of adaptations occurs at all levels and in different organs in the body including increased capillarization, fast-to-slow muscle fiber type conversion, increased heart size, increased mitochondrial mass, increased muscle mass, and so on. Adaptations to exercise or exercise training are specific to the exercise performed. High intensity (predominantly anaerobic) exercise will result in adaptations different from those resulting from moderate-intensity, longer-duration (aerobic) exercise. Resistance exercise typically results in a different phenotype than endurance training. With resistance exercise, hypertrophy is one of the main adaptations, whereas endurance training will not increase muscle mass and may even decrease it. Endurance training, however, will result in greater oxidative capacity, increasing the fatigue resistance of the muscle.
