At the start of my training I was very unfamiliar with proper use of equipment and had spent little time in the gym! Personal training was a big step out of my comfort zone as I had never followed a set routine before, Michael alleviated all of my worries and started me from the ground up! He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to excercises that beginners can preform, and has developed a program with visible progression and results. Would highly recommend him for his attention to detail and knowledge of nutrition and excercise as well as a fun workout!
My experience working with Cornelius has been excellent. I singed up for twice a week for six weeks to prepare for a half marathon and a triathlon. The workout session have help me to improve my time and endurance.
I’ve been taking self defense lessons with Anthony for about 3 months now and it has been great. He breaks down movements and explains things in a way that’s easy for a beginner to understand, and is great at tailoring workouts to my needs. I work in an emergency room where patients often become violent, and Anthony takes situations I’ve seen or my co-workers have seen and shows me how to defend myself. You can tell from your first session with Anthony that he not only is an expert in what he does, but that he loves what he does. He makes working out fun. I leave our sessions completely exhausted, as he works you hard for the full time. He’s also great at working around my crazy schedule. I enjoy our sessions so much I’ve been passing out his business cards to all my work friends!
A great personal trainer: he customized our sessions to exactly what I needed (very much a beginner, so we had simple goals like 10 push ups, etc) and we've been working our way up since. He's also super flexible with your schedule. My schedule was nuts for the 10 months I've worked with him, but he was always willing to move things around to accommodate -- and since he was willing to come to me and work out in my building's gym, I never had an excuse to not get my blood pumping! Every session was different so I never got bored, but they were all intense work outs. Shawn is not the type of trainer that gets down on the floor and yells at you to keep going, but he encourages you when you need it. He stands back and lets you concentrate on doing your thing, usually only piping up to correct form. Between sets, he's very nice and pleasant to talk to. I'm definitely in the best shape of my life thanks to Shawn! I especially recommend him to anyone who feels a little lost in the gym -- he's definitely increased my comfort level and knowledge about working out.
Dedicated Personal Trainer that helped me to meet my weight loss goal and to kept me focused. The exercises we did helped me to train for a half marathon and helped me to target certain areas that I felt needed more work on. Emmanuel also assisted me with my meal plans and water intake. Working with Mia has been a great experience for me. To give some background - over the years, Ive tried to lose weight in so many ways running club, various diets, going to the gym on my own, but nothing really worked for me. Often I would lose a couple of pounds, only to stall after a few weeks or regain the weight when I seized my efforts. Finally, faced with my upcoming wedding, I decided I needed professional help. I had bought a wedding dress a size smaller so there was no way I could afford to fail this time! My sister & I decided to get a professional trainer, and eventually found Mia. We started working out with her about 6 weeks ago and the process has been nothing short of amazing. She gave us a complete overview of how our training sessions were going to go and how much weight we were going to lose. She walked us through the whole process, what to eat, how often to work out, and what to expect over the course of the session. A couple days ago we had our first formal evaluation and the results have been unbelievable. Not only have I lost weight and become more toned, but the wedding dress that couldnt zip half way up my back now fits easily. Im so happy! I knew my body was changing but I didnt expect such obvious results, and now I am definitely looking forward to the next couple of weeks. Mia is very positive and encourages you throughout each workout session. I like the fact that she notices that I can do more and pushes me (even when I dont say anything). Like I mentioned previously, she gave us a meal plan to follow which has definitely helped me and makes me think twice about what I eat. The whole experience has been very positive, and I definitely recommend her to any and every one.
I have been working with Dan for a couple of months now and have already lost 1.5 inches off of my waist and have gotten much stronger. I have definitely noticed an increase in strength and endurance, and my clothes fit much better too. Dan is knowledgeable, helpful, and is always adding something to keep workouts fun and challenging. Additionally, I have always been wary of getting a personal trainer because I had assumed they are judgmental jocks, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Dan is extremely patient and understanding, and tailored the exercise regimen to fit my individual needs and health goals. I highly recommend Dan whether you're a beginner or a pro!
Lamar Bentley is a fantastic personal trainer who is both talented and passionate about what he does. He takes the time to assess your current condition and help you build and achieve a fitness plan in a healthy manageable way.. Unlike other trainers I have had , Lamar is constantly checking up and making sure his clients are keeping up with the routine . He is very consistent and always on time during our sessions. Having worked with a number of different trainers whose approaches and philosophies of fitness have varied widely, I have been quite impressed with the work being done at Bentley Fitness. I have had previous bad experiences with trainers but this time around I can honestly say I feel confident and capable of achieving my goals. He understands the importance of movement quality and the benefits that corrective exercises can bring to an individuals routine. I have been training at Bentley Fitness for about 7 months and I'm loving my results ! I highly recommend Bentley Fitness to beginners as well as those who are at a higher fitness level .
I love this place. It's a small gym located in an unassuming shopping center near Shady Grove metro. They specialize in small group training classes and personal training. The instructors are some of the best I've ever had at any gym (Sport & Health, Bally, WSA to name a few I've experienced). Not only do I get a great workout with someone who actually knows my name and any issues I am having, but I am not wasting hours of my day at the gym. I am in and out in less than an hour and I still get the best workout. I highly recommend it!
Jarrett is a great coach and a great man. I have done a large variety of different strength programs written by him and I have always been happy with the results. Jarrett has also been very flexible with my changing strength and conditioning goals and has always been easy to contact when questions come up. I would recommended him to everyone ranging from a beginner to a seasoned high level athlete.

I've been training with Kristina for over two years now and it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made. She is dedicated, knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. She has kept me motivated and worked with me through life's inevitable pitfalls. Sterling's karate class is well organized, especially for beginner to intermediate belts, all ages. He takes the time to teach the different level forms or "katas", and the students who competed in tournaments scored first or second.

I have been working out at Shaddockmma Academy for quite some time now and I can say that in all my yrs of going to different gyms this is a place where everyone is working together to be the best you can be. In my 7 years in the fitness industry I have worked with many trainers. Chris is by far one of the best I've seen. He is skilled in training a wide range of fitness levels from beginner to athlete. He understands how to train safely, effectively while keeping his clients motivated while they achieve results.

I have been working out with Drew for the past 10 years. I started working with him to lose weight and with his help, have transition my goals to more competition based. Ive used Drews services for triathlon and marathon training plans, 1x1 personal training sessions, and nutrition counseling. I see Drew in his private studio because I love the relaxed environment, but hes on occasion met me at my home too. Drew pushes me to be better in every session and I have seen incredible gains from working with him. Ive worked with other trainers and none have put the thought and time into customizing my sessions and training plans as Drew. He has helped me not only achieve my goals but shown me just what my body can do. He is always supportive, positive, and encouraging. Theres never a dull moment or routine workout with Drew. I would highly recommend him to help you achieve any fitness goal!
Angie is an amazing trainer!!! Been going to her for a year and my sessions have been awesome every time. She pushes me to my limit but doesn't give me too much I can't handle. She also makes sure to change up the workouts every session! I definitely recommend her to someone that's a beginner but looking to get a great workout!!
It is such a joy to work with Orlando! As a trainer he really knows his stuff and gave me some great suggestions. As a Running coach he helped me train for 2 marathons. He knows great routes to run and made sure I got the distance in. Orlando was very attentive with every individual in our group no matter of their pace or distance and fostered a good sense of community with us.
