Guitar Lessons : I had a good experience with Andy. I had to stop lessons for a long out of town trip. Plan on starting back in the spring 2014. I had a mixed bag of guitar skills and he was able to focus on what I needed to learn and show me how to do it. Thanks
Evan is a fantastic instructor. I took Scruggs-style banjo lessons from him. He was always able to offer helpful suggestions to aid in practicing and moving forward and a pace that best suited my busy schedule. Evan showed a great deal of patience and was a great source of encouragement always praising my accomplishments (no matter how small) and offering up extra advice and exercises when I struggled with something. Evan is incredibly knowledgable about music and shows great passion for teaching and performing. I loved having him as my instructor and highly recommend him to anyone else!
Troy Price is an outstanding Musician and teacher. Ive been taking guitar lessons from him for many years and he is a very supportive and talented musician who worked with me from the very basics of playing guitar: knowing how to read guitar sheet music, playing songs, improvising, and style. He lets the student decide what they would like to learn rather than go by a curriculum of sorts and he breaks down what ever your musical goals are into a few steps that you'll work at together in 30 minute weekly sessions. i highly recommend Troy Price Music not just for guitar lessons but for all music related services he offers from bass guitar to ukelele
It sounds like Steve will be a great fit for guitar lessons for my grandson. The lessons will be a Christmas gift so we haven't started yet.
BB is such an amazing teacher! I started playing the banjo for the first time about 4 months ago and thanks to her I feel like I've really come a long way. She's enthusiastic, patient, eager to help and just a fun person to be around! I always look forward to my banjo lessons, her love for the instrument is contagious. I'm so glad I found her and absolutely recommend her as a teacher!
Ian is a talented and patient teacher! I like that while we worked on the traditional lessons (e.g. scales and chords), he incorporated elements of my personal interests by letting me work with music I liked. He customizes each lesson for his students instead of a “cookie-cutter” approach. In terms of scheduling, he was very flexible. As a working professional and father, I would have to reschedule lessons occasionally and Ian would be understanding and helpful. I highly recommend Ian as a piano teacher for people of all ages!
I took piano lessons with Mary. She is a wonderful and professional teacher. I would highly recommend New England Music Studio - Great learning experience and a lot of fun
I began taking voice lessons from Peter Hostage in May and have been highly satisfied with my decision to do so. If you are considering taking music lessons with Mr. Hostage, know that you can expect a high level of professionalism, a relaxed atmosphere, and most importantly, quality musical instruction. As someone who began singing at an early age, I have had the opportunity to sing both individually and as part of numerous groups. In just three weeks Peter has introduced me to technique that I had not been exposed in my 10+ years singing. I am confident that continued lessons with Mr. Hostage will enhance my vocal ability. The lessons are definitely worth the investment!
I want to add my name to the list of very satisfied students of Tom Guard. I take banjo & guitar lessons from Tom and I appreciate his expertise and patience when explaining the finer details of each instrument. His knowledge of each instrument shows in his teaching technique. I have been with Tom for over two years and he is an excellant teacher!
Jack is an awesome teacher! I've had 3 guitar lessons so far and have learned so much already. He makes each lesson fun and doable. At our first lesson, he asked me to name a song I'm into right now and the lessons have been structured in a way to get me playing that song while learning fundamentals. I highly recommend taking lessons from him!
I've been a student of Ed for a couple of years now. Definitely an enjoyable experience. He is extremely patient toward his 50+ year old student - me. He adapts his style of teaching to suit the individual, their skill level & temperament. Overall, Ed makes the music, the lessons & the learning process fun. If you are looking for someone to teach you music then Ed is your man!

I have been playing music since 1955, when I studied violin at the Cirillo School for Performing Violinists in Manhattan. In 1957, I performed solo in Carnegie Hall in New York City. I continue to play the violin, the mandolin, the banjo, the guitar (classical, jazz and other forms), as well as the keyboards. My 3 grown children are all accomplished musicians, and I like to think that I had a significant hand in their development.
