It was a pleasure dealing with Chris. he was responsive to any and all questions and was extremely helpful in a pinch when the weather caused a hiccup in our plans and had to change dates at the last minuet. His cooking was exceptional and I look forward to having him cook again for next year if he's available.

I wanted a fun night for myself and two of my closest friends. This was a gift for them, and I know they won't forget it. Sarah was so careful to make sure the event was customized to our liking. Everything was perfect. The wine pairings were excellent and food astounding. My group was running a little late, but that didn't stop Sarah from filling our time with valuable tips and tricks. If you want a personal experience in a comfortable setting, this is perfect! I've looked into and have seen other "cooking classes" and none of them offer the value Sarah does. I would absolutely recommend the Home Chef of NH!

Chris and Meredith were fantastic! We'd book them again in a heartbeat. We had the Henrys cook a dinner for a group of 9 for New Year's Eve and both the food and the service were great. They were friendly, attentive, and very focused on giving us and our guests the best possible experience. Thanks Chris and Meredith!

Michael is a welcomed addition to our weekly routine. He began teaching my 14 year old son some basic knife skills and techniques in July and by August they were whipping up everything from comfort food to elevated culinary masterpieces. My son's self confidence continues to grow week after week as a result of his time in the kitchen. Michael's passion for flavor coupled with his extensive knowledge of limitless styles of cooking, make each week a culinary adventure.

I work in the Cultural department of the French Cultural Center in Boston and Aurélie has partnered with us for one of our family events, the Fete des Rois, held on January 9th. Aurelie has done an outstanding job by preparing 100% home made and from scratch, eight gorgeous galettes. They were delicious and '' even better than in France'' some attendees said. I have only worked with Aurelie for one time but I know that I would definitely contact her again for other events related to French food. or French cooking classes. She is also very friendly and sweet and it is a great pleasure to partner with her.

Beth has been great to work with! Very flexible with menu, my choices, and days that work for cooking. Her meals/food is FAB! BEST part? I have so lost weight eating her food. Even the yummy pixie balls aren't added inches to my waste line ;) Definitely recommend to anyone to busy to cook meals daily and or is looking for better/health meals to serve the family or themselves.

Having worked for a catering company, I know first-hand that companies often, sometimes necessarily, cut corners and in my opinion do not pay enough attention to detail or the customer's preferences. Working for myself gives me the freedom to indulge my perfectionist side, and spend as much time and attention on what I am preparing as it takes in order to create the dish both my customer and I want. I would not serve my customers anything I would not serve my friends and family, and I genuinely want those I work for to feel they are getting exactly what they envisioned.

I offer cooking lessons for one or a group. I do healthy, fresh and homemade preparations. From general cooking skills to advanced techniques and preparations, including stocks, soups, sauces, appetizers, handmade pastas, main entrees and bread baking, I have you covered. I provide tools and equipment for the preparation.

I make healthy, weekly meals that are easy to reheat and freeze. I take care of the grocery shopping, cooking, storage and cleaning!

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
