OMG...if you have never had a Personal Trainer, I suggest you drop some money if you can and try it. I thought I was doing well working out at the gym and in shape but thought I would try a Personal Trainer and signed up with Janet Lynn West at her gym near Columbia and Ellicott City called Core Elements by Janet Lynn West. She also helps with nutrition planning to help max your body. If you live in the area or have Skype capabilities, you may want to check it out. I just got my glutes handed to me. I felt like I was in High School or College with the drill Sargent coaches I grew up with and I am sore as all get out. Best thing I have ever done!!! I obviously have a way to go after realizing my shortfalls I did not know I had since I never weight trained with a professional. Definitely worth experiencing in your lifetime and be the best you can be. You will never push yourself as much as a trainer will. Janet has opened my eyes and at near 55 she helped me reach back into my youthfulness and drive to be the best I can be. I am excited to push forward to the next level of good health. God gave our bodies and health to us, its up to us to take care of it and maintain it. Janet is trailblazing the path for all of us, no one else comes close.
This is my first time hiring a personal trainer. I've never considered hiring a personal trainer in the past because, I didn't think I could afford one. Until I came across Denise. I've worked with her a little over a month. She's reasonably priced & is an excellent trainer. I wanted learn exercises to target certain areas, one on one attention to ensure I'm performing exercises correctly, and someone to motivate me. Denise have provided that for me. She created personalized training sessions for me & each session was a different routine. She modified exercises & challenged me as needed. She's prompt, reliable, & flexible. It's a pleasure working with Denise!

I have been studying Martial Arts off and on for most of my life (I am 51 years old), and I have studied under several very good instructors. However, I truly feel like I have found the best instructor possible in Sensei H. James Young. In the past, my training has been decentralized, because I have studied various disciplines from wrestling, Krav, Jujitsu, Kung Fu and so on. However, Sensei Young is showing me how to incorporate everything I have learned in the past into a style that is unique to me. We pack so much instruction into one hour, but he always leaves me wanting more. In one class, we can start with pressure points, go into gun, and knife defense, and then work on throws. We work on very practical and real world self defense techniques, and I always walk away with the confidence that I have gotten better with the instruction of Sensei Young. He is GREAT!!!
Andrew is knowledgeable, conscientious, and well-attuned to my individual needs and goals. He keeps the workouts challenging, so I have a sense of accomplishment at the end of each one, and I certainly know I have worked my muscles, but he adjusts the work to account for my current fitness level and health. That is what puts the personal in personal training, and Andrew is great at it. I highly recommend him.
Suzanne is an amazing trainer. I have taken one on one classes with her but my favorite is when she traines my husband and I together. What a workout we get, it has become our Friday date night activity. Just when we think we cannot do one more move she pushes us beyond our limits. My cardio has improved and I now do 'star burpees' for 'fun' One of my goals was to increase my strength and improve my muscle tone and Suzanne helped me achieve that goal. She is very dedicated to her clients and always works with your style while always pushing you to go a little more. I also take Suzanne's bootcamps and they are some of the best workouts I have ever had. Suzanne has made me love working out!!!!
I have had only one session with Tajae, but so far my experience with her has been excellent. Everything about her is extremely professional. She performed a comprehensive physical assessment, and then created a personalized fitness and diet plan to help me meet my goals. She initiated a fitness routine and performed each movement with me, giving me instructions on form and technique. I began to see improvement even during our first session. When I first began my training with Herbert over 4 months ago, I did not know what exactly to expect. Since, I really did not have an active workout schedule in the past, I wasn't totally sure if I would be able to handle his training.
