Working with Corey has been the best investment in myself I have made!! Not only is Corey is professional and easy to work with but she is knowledgeable and very compassionate. I am in the middle of her 6month health coaching program currently and plan to do her online fitness/workout program when she releases it. Her approach is very balanced to both diet and exercise!! When I started training with Sean I was a 39 year old mother of two. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I didn't exercise; didn't really know how to, and I certainly didn't watch what I ate. That's not the role model I wanted to be for my kids. I didn't want to be the mom who sat on the sidelines and watched her kids lives go by. I found Sean through a co-worker. Didn't know anything about hiring a personal trainer, but I lucked out and gave him a chance. It wasn't easy but I stuck with it and didn't quit. I trained with Sean for about a year. During that time I lost 40lbs and my strength and fitness level increased phenomenally! He not only taught me how to exercise, he also taught me about nutrition. Even though I don't train with him anymore, we keep in touch and I still ask Sean advice on all things fitness related.
I have used several personal trainers over the years and I would rate Michael as the best in the business. He pushes you to your absolute limits, yet always focuses on your safety. Extremely innovative, Michael's workouts are always varied and FUN! He is extremely accommodating to fit your schedule and makes sure each workout accomplishes your goals. Highest recommendation!
To put it succinctly for those that don’t want to read this whole review..... Julian, as my personal trainer, is phenomenal! He is super knowledgeable, well trained, educated, I would say an expert about training the body to get the results you want. He has a great energy, enthusiasm, and passion for getting you in the best shape you can be! I can't recommend him highly enough. I chose to work with Julian, personal trainer and owner of Prepare for Performance, cause he listened to what my goals were and his approach to over all strengthening fit with me. I love how he mixes up the workouts always focus on engaging my core in everything we do. I have never really exercised or been into fitness because weight was never an issue, until I hit my mid 40s. Feeling really fatigued, bad posture, headaches, gravity.... Working with Julian is so important to me because able to judge my abilities and push them just the right amount. He plans the workout so that I'm pushing my limits every session. While I whine and complain he gets me through it. Even with all the technology, YouTube ect...these are not workouts I could do on my own. Every session is different, challenging, and feels wholly customized so I may reach my goals. Working out with Julian may be my best decision of the year. My posture is so much improved, I have upper body strength *for the first time in my life*, I am able to do things I would never have done before and feel great (while I am still not thrilled with how I look,there are improvements, I actually will take my shirt off and swim. god, I missed swimming!) Working out is still hard and something I would never do if it were not for Julian. He is fun, engaging, smart, and a “hard a#$” when he needs to be. If you are wanting to feel better about yourself, feel stronger, happier, and joining the gym just does not do it for you...Julian will get you into shape!!

Kristin is excellent! She has extensive knowledge about both fitness and nutrition. She alters routines to accommodate injuries and to attain your goals. She's very motivating, always on time and professional. She was able to help me accomplish everything I wanted by a specific date. I highly recommend kristin!!
Last Spring, I was pretty miserable. I was very overweight, very out of shape, and living with a lot of pain in my feet, ankles, knees and back. It was getting difficult to do the every day things I needed and wanted to do, and I was feeling lost. Exercise hurt too much which resulted in more sitting, more eating, and more weight gain. In a moment of motivation, I searched on Yelp for personal trainers near me and made a call to TruFit. I feel very lucky that Jaime answered the phone that day. We've been working together for 10 months now. In that time I've lost over 50 pounds, a few clothing sizes, and many inches. More importantly, my back pain is gone and I am back to hiking, walking, and I recently started running again. My joints feel much better and can carry me wherever I need to go. The best change is that my resting heart rate has gone from 84 beats per minute down to 63. I feel much healthier, happier and have a lot more energy. From day one, Jaime has been encouraging, motivating and challenging. Our workouts are always changing and I'm never bored. Jamie focuses on all aspects of health, not just our strength training sessions: nutrition, food habits, sleep, cardio, and more. He genuinely cares about me and is fun to work with. I have more progress I want to make; and I just signed with Jaime and TruFit Personal Training for another year. I'm looking forward to another year of success and finding out what I'm capable of next!
I'm 68, badly out of shape and hate exercising. I've been using Vitality Fitness and Wellness (VFW) for about 8 months. In Nov I had my annual physical. My doctor was so impressed with my improvement that he wrote down the name of VFW to recommend it to other patients. The trainers have been very good for me and I can't say enough good things about them. What I don't like is the way their website sign-up (dis)service doesn't work at all. It is enough to get me looking for another company or another trainer. If I could find a trainer like VFW that had a useable sign-up method it would be perfect.
This trainer helped educate and demonstrate a safe and correct way to use equipment and create a daily work out that is modifiable and obtainable. I highly recommend this trainer to people looking to improve their overall fitness and gain knowdge about healthy lifestyles! Keep up the good work Coach Embly and Thanks for all the help!
I made it to my lowest weight in my adult lifetime working with Mike. We were neighbors before our client relationship took hold. He was always encouraging from day one of meeting him. Simple things like passing down older magazines of men's health that had good articles in them about weight loss and overall fitness. Once we became client/trainer the level of attention help tremendously. It's been awhile since we have seen each other in person but I still follow and read most of his blogs. And I have always been impressed with the work he has done. In the end, whatever you may be trying to achieve falls on you, but having someone like Jaz or Mike in your corner will definitely keep you motivated.
Tony Rosa is an excellent trainer and fitness coach for people of all ages. He truly cares about people and focuses on getting them healthy and strong. He can tailor any fitness activity to meet a person's individual needs and ability. I highly recommend Tony Rosa.
The facility is perfect for me from distance to privacy. It allows me to have the exclusive 1-on-1 training with my trainer without distraction that other Gyms don’t have. Ken is absolutely awesome: knowledgeable, attentive, patient, and very motivational. His sessions are well prepared, challenged, and yet never intimidating. Ken understood my strength pretty well, and allow me to start at my own space, but still challenging me at the same time. We set our goal pretty realistic, and can’t wait to see the real results. I know Alex for couple years as a talented and skilled martial arts professional and also a great fitness instructor. Both self and my son are trained by him at Master Lee's Martial Arts Taekwondo school of Sterling,VA. We are very happy we met him so he explained and helped a lot to be well-trained and feel much better about many things. He always provides easy to follow techniques with related explanations, advises and hand-on demonstratoinons. Greatly recommended! Outstanding instructor/professional!

Dennis is positive and patient!! I have to have a trainer to keep me and track and motivate me. Dennis does this in spades!! I'm a senior citizen and Barb has been able to develop a fun and effective fitness program for my fitness level even while having to make compensations for my osteoporosis and my arthritis issues. I did not think I would be able to have a fitness program developed for me that would not aggravate my health conditions. Toms Dedication to my success I leg press 700 pounds (not a typo) now, lift a little more than half my body weight in pull-ups and dips, and bench press roughly 35 pounds on average. In order to understand what a true accomplishment this is you must first understand the obstacles I was forced to overcome and how Tom helped me through it all. I was in a major car accident in 2011. The vehicle hit mine head on. My car battery was moved from the front left to the back center. The steel plate my chair rested on broke in half and dropped. The vehicle stopped just shy of the dashboard and firewall. I was unable to work for 3 months. For those 3 months my life consisted of nothing but doctors appointments, medicine, and slow physical therapy. The doctors told me I was lucky I wasnt paralyzed. They said because I worked out prior to my accident (roughly 5-7 hours a week for 3 months) my muscles were able to absorb the impact but now theyre stuck and would need to be drugged to unclench and then I would have to relearn how to use each and every muscle in my body. I took a total of 3 months of physical therapy and followed every instruction they gave me determined to get better. They said I could now function well enough to get by in life and I was released. What this meant was I could now walk for a few minutes without help or getting winded. I could stand for roughly 5 minutes before feeling total exhaustion. My doctor told me I would be on pain medication for the rest of my life. The doctors even offered to paralyze nerve endings so I wouldnt feel the pain. I was greatly discouraged but unable to accept a lifetime of drugs and pain. I went to a local gym that hired full-time personal trainers. I met with the manager on staff and after explaining my story he gave me a look that said we cant help her, but well leave that to the trainer. He told me they only had 1 trainer on staff with the kind of qualifications I needed who MIGHT be able to help me. I met Tom. Tom sat me down for a consultation asking me my limitations and goals. As I explained each and every medical condition, I became very discouraged. For the first time, I thought there was no hope for me. He took thorough notes and said Okay, give me a few days to come up with an exercise plan. I could see his mind working and I was afraid he would turn me away even after his encouragement. I met with Tom for the first training session. He learned very quickly my muscle strength was so limited I had trouble lifting my arms or legs let alone any added weight or resistance. I was determined not to let him down or show any weakness by saying I cant. Tom would watch every move and watch my face and he would stop me while doing exercises because he could see my pain and he would relentlessly ask what hurt. When I would tell him, instead of getting discouraged he would simply tell me Okay, I know another way to exercise that muscle without straining these muscles. He would then lead me through another exercise and carefully watch to make sure I didnt hurt myself. After the first month of working out with Tom, I slept a full nights sleep without pain in my neck. These are the same muscles with nerve endings the doctors wanted to paralyze. After 6 months of training I was stronger than where I started in some areas before the accident. After a year, I had full range and I was able to use some form of resistance or weights on all muscle groups. I have continued to hire Tom each year and while the gym we work out as has changed in addition to my workout goals, the workouts are still just as challenging and ever changing. I have gone from complete discouragement and a sense of despair to hopeful and excited to workout. The highlights in my week are my workouts because I know that each goal is within reach and Tom is the perfect expert trainer to help me meet each and every goal I set for myself. We are both still amazed at how far I have come from where I started. To this day I have not seen or heard of a trainer to be his equal. Tom changes the workout routines consistently. He focuses on your goals and not on what he thinks your goals should be. He is a trainer who utilizes every piece of equipment and environment for physical growth (parks, outdoor/ indoor, machines, free weights, and all forms of cardio equipment). My personal favorites are the heavy bag, leg press, and bench press. Tom challenges me and he is the ONLY TRAINER I will ever work with. I thank God for Tom and greatly appreciate all he has done for me. While he pushed me to succeed physically he also helped restore my faith in myself. Tom taught me its not a competition between my physical abilities and others but rather its a personal challenge to grow spiritually and physically. ~Tricia
