I love GForce! From Melissa and Theresa to Diane, the fabulous combat instructor to Wayne Wu....trainer extrodinaire! The GFX small group training has been a needed and fun addition to my workout routine. Wayne is so knowledgeable and well-qualified in the fitness training arena. He pushes you to reach your personal best, but is very cognizant of tailoring your workout to meet your needs and past injuries. I love my GFX training!

I have worked with some amazing trainers and Mike is one of my favorites. I have a pretty high fitness level and I feel like he really takes the time to educate me about why we are doing an exercise and coaching me on form. I learn so much from him. It's great because it gives me a little more to take home than just a great workout!
Anthony is a great fitness trainer/neutrition coach. The energy and vibe Anthony creates in his gym makes me get up and want to exersize first thing in the morning. He is Very encouraging and knows what he's doing. He consults first, gives a test and makes a plan, and he adjusts it to your body's needs(to get fit n healthy but not to strain it too much, if you have or had an injury) but enough to make it challenging. The best gym I've been to in years, as I keep moving around it's hard to find really great trainers. As long as I live in Lansing I'll be coming here. I have had many fitness trainers and I wasn't feeling it, when I come here I can feel the progress being made, and it makes me want to come back. Love westside fitness Lansing. Before this gym and Anthony i didn't like exersizing nor was I that eager to exersize and get fit.
Deana is the BEST in personal training! I, unfortunately, do not live close by, so my training experience was online. I was hesitant as to whether remote training would be effective. I can now say, it DEFINITELY was/is. Deana provides great workouts, recipes and advice. She does a terrific job demonstrating moves with videos, is extremely encouraging and constantly available. I cannot say enough about my experience working remotely with Deana and Fit by Strength. So, no more excuses of not living near-by. Remote sessions are just as good!
My experience with Brittany has been, to say the least, exceptional. I am a 57 year old female, in relatively good shape but my balance, coordination and overall fitness were declining. I lost interest in trying to learn how to properly work out because I had a very negative experience with another personal trainer. Brittany has been patient, supportive, and professional. She gears the planned workout to the individual's needs and skills, makes it fun, and challenging (but not too challenging or discouraging). After my first session, I couldn't believe how great I felt! Because of her knowledge and expertise, I have become more fit without enduring any physical injuries or loss of self esteem! She will accommodate your schedule and location for sessions. Brittany's skill and demeanor is compatible with a wide age-range and with any gender. Not only am I using Brittany but so is my daughter, age 17. I would highly recommend Brittany for personal training.
I first started working with Karie in a personal training capacity about 2 years ago. I'll tell ya, it wasn't easy, but she has taught me what it really meant to push myself and that I could go a lot farther than I thought I could. She also provided me with nutrition recommendations and I learned a lot about clean eating and they are things that live in my life still to this day. I've worked with Karie in a group training session since then and she's still known as the trainer that will push you. She's also taught me to do a lot on my own and I'm now completely comfortable in the gym working out by myself all because of her. She'll stay very real with you though and knows you have a life to live outside of the time you spend in the gym and cooking healthy meals. If you want someone that only pushes you as much as you let them, thats not Karie. If you want someone that won't hold you accountable, thats not Karie. If you want someone that wants you to learn, grow and be a healthier you, that is Karie. I believe she really wants you to get the most out of the services she provides. I'd recommend her to anyone :)
If you're considering hiring Jerry for a personal trainer, there's a few things I'd like to tell you. I've been fit for most of my life (through effort NOT nature!) but being over 40 and having a couple surgeries in 6 months really put me off my game and the 15 lbs I'd gained just weren't moving. I had just lost my motivation. I had considered a trainer in the past but every time I put feelers out I was disappointed with the responses. I stumbled across Jerry's website and sent an email asking for more information....best thing I've EVER done in regards to my health!! He is encouraging yet demanding, which is exactly what I was looking for. I have learned so much about myself, beyond just fitness, while training with him. I'm stronger than I thought I was, both physically and mentally. When I thought there was no way I could do something his faith that I could made me willing to push myself farther than I ever would have on my own. I've run faster, lifted more, gone farther than I ever thought I could at 47 years old :) I feel like this has been an investment in myself and I've NEVER felt better! Believe it or not at age 47 I actually have ABS!! Training with Jerry isn't just about lifting more and pushing harder, he takes a whole life approach which is exactly what I needed. I've had a few seasons with Autrey and so far I am loving it. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I am the type of person who needs an extra push while working out and he is a great motivator. We have yet to repeat any 1 exercise, and with all of the different equipment in the studio - I know that training will never be boring. I plan to keep training with Autrey and will commit to a healthier diet as well. I am confident that with those elements combined, I can achieve my fitness goals.

In 2004, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. For some eight years, I stewed and fell deeper and deeper into depression. My weight ballooned out of control and peaked at 350 lbs by the end of 2011. In the beginning of 2012, I decided I needed a change. Overnight, I overhauled my diet in a reasonable way that still allowed me some of my favorite "bad" foods. In roughly 11 months, I lost 150 lbs, no fad diets, no pills, no nonsense. I spent most of my free time researching nutrition, training and physiology. I watched hundreds of hours of lectures, training footage and discussions. I read numerous research articles on all the major concerns related to weight loss, strength training and muscle-building. I learned how to effectively and intelligently structure a program for nearly anyone, no matter what their goals are. I am currently pursuing proper certification and am seeking a bachelor's degree at minimum in the field of exercise science and kinesiology. I will start this winter. Fitness is my passion in life, and I hope I can help you on your journey toward better health, a better body and a better outlook on life.
