To give some background, I was a recovering bulimic who obsessed with food and absolutely hated looking at the mirror. Ive tried personal trainers a couple years of ago (usually the ones that give free sessions with your gym membership), but they didnt help with building a positive self-image. Finally, I was fed up with my body and my strength (or lack thereof), so I googled for affordable personal trainers outside of gyms with good reviews. One of the reasons I picked Brandon right away is because of his affordable rate. Forty dollars per session is a steal, especially when he drives to your location and pays for his own parking at your own appointed time. That kind of service is very helpful for a struggling college student. Not to mention, he quickly identified a good meal plan, and he used the free assessment to really personalize the workouts he gives. It also helps to have a trainer who cares about your progress and doesnt beat you up if you have a bad week. Sometimes life happens, but at least hes there to advise you on what you should change if something isnt working. I think he caught on that I love positive reinforcement, because his encouragement and advice really pushed me to change my lifestyle. The weight loss wasnt even the best part about his training. I used to hate sports, athletics, or any kind of physical activity, but now I love running. Working out has officially replaced my netflix binges. I am super thankful and happy that Ive had this experience.
When I decided to do something about my weight and fitness I spoke with a few trainers and Lisa was the only one that really got me and where I was at in life. She has been amazing to work with and has helped me to look at my nutrition and my body differently, which has really made a difference in my life. What Lisa is: encouraging, creative, reliable, fun, knowledgeable, challenging and caring. She is never judgmental or harsh. She knows when to push and when to ease up - and in a year I don't think we've done the same workout twice! I am so very blessed to have connected with Lisa as a personal trainer and a truly amazing woman.
After months of urging from my wife, who had been training for nearly a year with John, I decided to make the personal investment to get more fit. My original motivation was to improve my golf game. I had lost distance and flexibility with my swing. Since December 2013, I've trained two days a week (60 minutes each session) with John to build strength and flexibility. During that time, I've lost 20 lbs of fat, added 21.5 lbs of muscle, and reduced my percentage of body fat over 10 points. My weight is actually unchanged but my physique is clearly improved. I've noticed subtle changes like better posture, endurance for activities, and my clothes fit differently (smaller waist, broader chest and shoulders). My wife has noticed a smaller stomach, thinner face, and smooth skin. Weight loss was not a primary goal for me (I enjoy food and alcohol too much too surrender those pleasures), but I recently had to provide blood work for an annual physical exam and was surprised with the change from a year ago. All of my health metrics (cholesterol, triglycerides, etc...) had significantly improved such that I will likely be able to discontinue at least one, if not more, medications. I also had my lowest blood pressure readings in at least five years. Obviously, I was very pleased with those results. And yes, the strength and conditioning work John has designed has allowed me to recoup and exceed my prior golf abilities. I recovered all of my distance, plus added an additional 15-20 yards per club. I recently had two 300 yard plus drives in the same round. A first for me. I was excited and amazed at my improved fitness. A personal trainer isn't cheap (he runs a business), but the cost in comparison to excessive medications and other unnecessary medical care is cost effective in the long run. It's money well spent. John's personable, has a great sense of humor, enjoys movie quotes and holds you accountable for your fitness improvement. I'm doing exercises (strength and conditioning) that I would've found laughable eight months ago (i.e. pirouette push-ups). John is the direct link to that improvement and performance.
Jessica is an outstanding personal trainer with a motivating attitude and a perfect balance of pushing you to the limits without going too far. She is also very good at communicating and accommodating unique schedules. I would highly recommend her.

I have been working with Bennett for about 2 months now and am very happy I contacted him. I am pretty new to fitness and have never been a regular gym goer. I always had some excuse in the past, but I became tired of not having the energy to keep up with my kids. Bennett has helped me with my mindset, confidence and persistence in working toward my fitness goals. I was a bit nervous to contact a personal trainer since I’ve never really gone to the gym with any regularity and didn’t know what to expect (plus Jillian Michaels and trainers like her scare me), but Bennett has been the very opposite of those stereotypical personal trainers. For one, he is an excellent listener and wants to know your goals and your body’s trouble areas. He is careful not to push too hard and is very keen on safety. Most importantly, he does things the right way, with the whole picture of fitness and diet and proper form and safety. He will meet you at whatever stage you are at and work with you to increase your health and fitness. One of his favorite expressions is “For now,” as in “Bennett, I am having a hard time doing this exercise.” “For now,” he’ll say, pointing me toward a fitter future. I see a lot of the reviews are from people who have been working with Bennett for 4+ years, so as a newbie I am speaking to people just now considering (or who have hesitated to consider for whatever reason) working with a personal trainer. Bennett is an excellent person to get you on your way.
Chris is an excellent well rounded personal trainer. He is very passionate about what he does and very caring about each individual person he works with. Not only does he provide a good work-out routine (in the gym and homework) but he also provides powerful insights on nutrition to help you get to your goals. Several times I was struggling with life itself so he took the time and talked through these items with me to encourage me, keep me moving forward and keep me motivated with my fitness goals during those hard times. He does a great job providing a wide variety of work-outs so your never bored. Over the past year, I have yet to do a work-out with him that is the same. He has intense hard calorie burning workouts, heavy weight lifting workouts, and area focused workouts that are tailored to your specific goals. Being a tennis competitor I have had to wear a knee brace for the past 4 years. With his strength training program, and working through my knee injuries I have been without a knee brace for 4 months now! On top of that I'm quicker on the court and can really jump up and take tennis balls out of the air for a more aggressive play. Recently I became sectionals tennis champion and am a national qualifier for the Indian Wells tournament. He has gotten me to my goals and so much more! Hands down best personal trainer out there! Extremely recommend!
I like to describe Doug as "the Cadillac of personal trainers." So if you're looking for the best, you've found him. One of the reasons I esteem Doug so highly is because he strives to make things simple. "It's not easy," he says, "but it's simple." I appreciate this approach because it helps me focus and not waste my time constantly looking for the next new thing.
Michelle is so kind and so understanding. She is knowledgeable and she customizes the workouts to your needs and fitness levels. I've seen improvement going twice a week for almost a month. Definitely would recommend her.
Aaron is an awesome person and trainer. I meet while playing football for a team he co-founded and since day ones he's been a mentor and a lifestyle coach. I've always been highly skeptical of trainers. I haven't trained with a ton of different people, but I don't think I've ever found one that I felt super confident that they knew what they were talking about. Luckily, I started training with Rachael, and she changed that! Her knowledge of fitness and the human body is so deep and well rounded. She can help you with your fitness from every angle that you could want, be it working around an injury or your diet. She knows how to give you a workout that will push your limits. I'd say training with her is great for so many reasons, but I think the best thing she brings to the table is her attitude. She's always so enthusiastic, encouraging when you give her 100%, and she never made me feel any pressure to do anything more than my best. Rachael is so passionate and loves what she does, and it definitely shows! I know training with her helped me to push me to new heights. Every session was a challenge, but it was fun and rewarding! I am 56 years old with some past medical issues that made me seek out a personal trainer for toning and weight loss. Working with Alena Kuzma has been enjoyable and educational. She is easy to work with, gives me confidence with weights, and more importantly to me, she watches out for my safety. She teaches about nutrition that goes hand in hand with working out, which has been very valuable and helpful. I feel I am making steady progress (after all, it took time to put the weight on). Her rates are very reasonable and I would highly recommend Alena to anyone as a personal trainer! Becky
