I have had the opportunity to have Alex perform cooking services at my home on two occasions. We expect to contract him for further activities with friends at our house. Keep in mind, my wife and I have a newborn, so it is difficult to go to restaurants often. For this reason, we decided to experiment with the services of a "personal chef". First of all, the top notch experience of a knowledgable cook in our own home is quite different from the norm. We were apprehensive at first, but due to his bubbly personality and knowledge, it was an experience that we would not get at any restaurant in Manchester. Second, quality of ingredients and cooking materials is top notch. He brought everything, bought in local markets, in addition to some "secret ingredients" he brought from Puerto Rico. We discussed the menu beforehand and he was quite open to appeasing to our tastes, while at the same time, successfully helping us experience new ingredients. Third, the food was amazing. We agreed to try latin american themed dinners (first time a mexican style burrito dinner, second time a puertorrican themed mofongo dinner). I have never tasted anything like this in New England. The closest place to NH we can taste this type of food is NYC.
I recommend Mr. Cruz without reservations.
