Envision: An Intuitive Approach To Learning Guitar & Developing Rhythm For All Ages

    (42 reviews)

I was a terrible musician for years because of having little music education and I understand how frustrating it is to learn at any age. I also know that patience and persistence; for student and teacher alike, is key. There are many fine musicians but few know or remember the steps necessary to reach their level of achievement. I clearly remember how I developed musically and being able to explain and share this process is critical to effective learning. Music is not rocket science and with a qualified instructor it should be easy to reach a level of accomplishment which will enrich your life. I offer all levels of instruction but seem to work best with beginner-intermediate level students. Rhythm, lead, improvisational theory and slide guitar technique available as well. There is also an incredible world of possibilities with Apple iOS technology that is the new frontier of creativity for music, art and productivity. Having studied this exciting field extensively, I feel I am qualified to teach it in an accessible and enjoyable manner. Being on the cutting edge of this technology is thrilling in many ways but especially because this area is open to those with little or no prior musical/artistic background or ability. I sincerely appreciate and welcome new students and will do everything to make the experience worthwhile and fun. Helping others to experience how wonderful it is to be able to play music from their hearts and to see how this ability transfers to other areas of their lives. As I said, music is not rocket science.

The Best Guitar Lessons in Vegas

    (16 reviews)

I know HOW to teach. There are many talented professional musicians who aren't good teachers. Even after schooling and much professional experience it took me over a year on the job to master basic pedagogy and the best methods of being an effective teacher. I've found that it takes more than just musical skills. It also takes communication, patience and empathy. Spreading music - playing music - listening and helping others play...What's not to like?!?! It's totally inspiring. I think my favorite thing is when students proudly play music that they've composed. Even my bad days are good!

    D.K. Guitar Instruction

    (14 reviews)

I am young and versed in new modern techniques, but have and old soul and have delved deep into the history of the guitar. I can help you shred or help you play Blues while learning where the urge you have to learn comes from. I love seeing someone hit the perfect chord or play their first song and tell me the story of how everyone reacted.

    Patrick Worley

    (13 reviews)

I have a very extensive background in multiple genres of music. While my training is as a classical musician (and this is what I put a majority of my time into), my years as a Nashville Studio musician have led to many incredible experiences with Rock, Country, and Jazz to name a few. Combined with my experience teaching a wide array of students, from age 3 to 70 and including those with special needs, I feel adept in almost any teaching situation. As a performer, I've had international travel experience where I've worked with US embassies, and I understand the actual business of music as opposed to just musical knowledge. My teaching philosophy: I believe in the importance of finding one's purpose as well as recognizing the obligation that's implicit with this discovery. I count myself very fortunate to have found meaning in both music and teaching and even more privileged to observe that the best way to teach and inspire is to be a student oneself. I love to teach-I love seeing my passion for music mirrored in my students. It is this outlook that serves as my model for guiding and mentoring students down this journey in life. I view a student's well-being and progress not only as my job, but also as the obligation referred to above. It is always my goal to establish a positive learning environment, and by so doing express the importance of disciplined practice while always making it fun! As is stated above, I see myself as a student of music and always will. I am constantly delving into musical literature, whether its history, theory, or psychology of music. This always enables me to bring new things to the table when teaching and helps in making practical applications towards whatever music my students want to study.

Nick Burbey Guitar and Bass Lessons

    (12 reviews)

I teach the guitar as a whole. The ultimate goal is to be able to play any song and create the sounds you imagine in your head, and I teach how the guitar and music work, so you can get there! My lessons are custom tailored to each students needs. No two people learn exactly the same way, and your learning experience should reflect that, in a positive way! I also provide 90% of all lesson material. Diagrams, examples, transcriptions (sheet music) are all included. I love those lightbulb moments. When I can see that new information is making sense to my students, that's the reason I teach! I also just love the guitar. Any time spent with the guitar in my hands is pure joy!

    Gabriel Interrante

    (5 reviews)

Outside of providing fun, convenient, stimulating lessons, I stand out for 3 reasons: -Excellence As someone who sees the value of investing in yourself, you are putting your trust (and money) in me. I see that and give the very best service I can. -Respect I know that time is the most valuable asset. Therefore, you can expect your lessons to be on time and well worth your money. -Accommodation Often times students have different learning styles. I make sure students understand the instruction they are given. Whether that be through actually playing or seeing it on paper. Teaching is one of the most rewarding things one can do. 2 things come to mind. First, being able to teach something you love yourself makes work feel like anything but work. It's hard not to enjoy teaching and talking about something you are passionate about. Second, teaching can be challenging. Everyone is unique, so some things need to be explained differently. Finding the approach that most resonates with a student is very gratifying.

I had been playing guitar for 10 years, and had taken, and failed at lessons before. I finally decided to go to Robert on the advice of a friend, and within 2 lessons, my guitar playing was already significantly better! A year later, I was doing things on a guitar that I figured I would never understand! Robert is a phenomenal teacher who I would recommend to anyone looking to pick up an instrument, or to hone their craft!

My 15 year old son began playing the violin a little over a year ago. He has been taking violin lessons at Nevada Music Academy for the past 6 months. He has improved tremendously under the instruction of Dr. Julie Jack. She is a very accomplished and talented violinist and teacher. Dr. Jack is a patient, knowledgeable, and passionate instructor. She has instilled that passion into my son. During the weekly lessons Dr. Jack models how it should sound, plays along with him, as well as gives him constructive feedback on how to improve his technique. He looks forward to his lessons every week. We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Jack as my son's violin instructor.

For beginners, intermediate and advanced for ages 8 and up! * Learn how and why your favorite songs work * Learn to play your favorite songs * Learn to create your own songs * Learn these style: rock, pop, metal, classic rock, blues and jazz * Learn to read and write your own music * Learn from an instructor who adapts to your learning style * Learn these instruments: guitar, bass, piano, banjo, mandolin Learn from a professional musician and award-winning composer in the music industry for over 20 years. Haven't you grown tired of faking it? It's time to truly learn and be able to apply music theory. If you are not correctly instructed in the first two years, bad habits that last a lifetime will be developed. It is better to study correctly in the beginning than to waste years trying to correct bad practice habits later on. I have taught many students of all ages, and a lot of them who had lessons somewhere else say, "I haven't improved past a certain point. I cannot seem to play the way I want to!" You can read my students' testimonials on my website. I am an award-winning composer and a professional musician. I am a former instructor and not just a graduate from one of Los Angeles, California's top music trade schools. My guitar instruction book has been utilized at Boston's Berklee College of Music, the top music school in the world. My other books can be found at Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Borders. I am an award-winning musician who has collaborated with Hall of Fame recording artist Dave Marks (The Beach Boys), Denny Laine of The Moody Blues and Wings (the band of Paul McCartney after The Beatles), Duncan Faure (Rabbitt, Trevor Rabin, Madonna), award-winning film composer Jeffrey Gold (Abby Singer, Pigweed Philosopher, Nowhere Fast), John Debney who is an Academy Award nominee and film composer (The Passion of the Christ, Sin City), TV/film composer Dan Ferguson (Toto, Steely Dan, Cher), actor Mark McClure (Apollo 13, Superman, Back to the Future), Emmy award winner Jimmy Danelli (Winnie the Pooh, Disney), Academy Award winner Timothy Hutton (The Falcon and The Snowman, Ordinary People), Platinum artist Donnie Vie (Enuff Z'nuff), Jazz great Richie Cole, Jake E. Lee (Badlands, Ozzy Osbourne, Sarah Thiele), Mike Bordeman (drummer for Spencer Davis) and Vinnie Castaldo (Phil Collins, Aynsley Dunbar). I am a music theory and guitar instructor for members of the R and R Top 40 (No. 27) charting pop-rock band Kropp Circle and was an instructor to guitarist Chris Iorio of the Billboard (No. 4) charting band (EMI/Virgin Records), Adelitas Way ("Invincible"). My music is available on Amazon and iTunes, and my filmography is available on IMDb. Take the time to really understand and learn chords, scales and song construction. Please spare time to study with a person who can really help you improve your skills. Stop wasting your money and time on worthless lessons with little to no improvement. Work with a professional instructor who has established a full music education system, not just anyone who can teach you Stairway to Heaven or some blues riffs. I teach using a very easy guitar neck diagram system (for more details, click on the diagram), as well as traditional music staff reading. I use my own easy piano tablature system and teach traditional music reading in piano lessons. I guarantee that compared to any other teacher, you will learn more from, or I will give you your money back! Remember, not all good players can teach well. Many of them are sincere, but lack the proper teaching skills. Professional guitar and bass, and music instruction is absolutely essential. I charge $85.00 an hour $50.00 for half an hour. All instructional materials are included! Please email me, or call me, should you have queries.
