My experience with James has been great. He is always on time and keeps his client updated about his schedule. James knows how to challenge a person's limit and at the same time keep the training fun and enjoyable. I have worked with a few other trainers before, late to appointment, cancellation with short notice and even no show are always the biggest headache. James is the best by far. What do you love about your job?
What I love about my job is the ability to make a difference when it comes to preventing injury and helping people connect to their natural body's alignment. Also, I love watching my client’s progress in having more toned and confident bodies. I love helping people get results, and I love helping people discover how to cope with pain. Once I became certified in Corrective Alignment, which is the closest thing to being a physical therapist but with exercise, I became fascinated in helping people prevent injury and overcome it. It is a passion of mine now to help my clients become pain-free.
Who or what inspired you to start your business?
I almost died of an asthma attack while in high school. My doctor advised me that exercise could help me overcome asthma and its limitations. After that, I started taking different classes at the YMCA including total body workout, step aerobics, yoga, and dance classes. Exercise saved my life, and I have been asthma-free for over eight years. Experiencing the benefits of exercise led to me wanting to help other people as well. I've seen how exercise transform my own life, and I become passionate about helping others do the same. Once I started helping people with corrective alignment and preventative injury work, my clients responded very positively to my style, and I kept having more and more clients. It is fulfilling to help people, and I have had my business now for six years.

I came across Niko when I was working at a Hedge Fund and equinox offered our company a complimentary session. I myself have always felt that I weigh far more than it appears and was often ashamed. I lost 30lbs on my own before working with Niko but let me tell ya after working out with Niko he helped add on an additional 50lbs off. Niko not only teaches you what to do in the gym he teaches you how to eat as well. I loved the boxing portion of our training sessions. In addition to fitness training we went through a series of stretching routines, and I can say with confidence his technique and my following through has eliminated my back pain. Positive and upbeat, skilled and consistent, Rhonda brings all of her professional attention to each session in a very friendly and enjoyable manner. I have worked with Jacques for several years after working with other trainers. In that time, I have increased my strength, reduced my body fat percentage and overall fitness. Jacques is very versatile in his training knowledge and was able to meet my goals. He helped me train for my first spartan race which was nine miles and due to his condition training I was able to finish in the top percentiles. I grew up playing soccer in a country where soccer is breakfast, lunch and dinner. When I moved to The States at the age of 16, I had the opportunity to play soccer and basketball for my high school; then at the age of 17, I was introduced to the strength-training part of fitness. Ever since then, I fell in love with it and became addicted. Since then I've been healing illnesses, fixing postures, getting rid of injuries and uplifting spirits. Since I loved it so much, I figured it was a good way to make a living; so I became a fitness Trainer at Ballys Fitness. When I realized the amazing changes I was making in people's lives, my life automatically changed also. I became so excited because I knew I had found my purpose in life, then I fell in love with training as well. I became so ecstatic about training and developed such a hunger for more knowledge. I went on to work for Equinox Fitness Club, where I learned so much more about fitness. After four years of working there, I decided to become an independent trainer; so I enrolled at the American Academy of Personal Training (AAPT) to make myself more credible. There, I also gained a wealth of knowledge: I learned how to train the general population, from a fireman to a bus driver, from a pro athlete to a senior citizen. Currently, I'm pursuing a physical therapy degree so I can serve people on a larger scale. I have been living life with such a strong sense of joy and worthiness because of the positive differences I've been making in people's lives. I truly believe that I have the best job in the world, and I wouldn't change it for anything else. I also really believe that if you do something you love, you never work a day in your life. I am forever thankful to my clients for giving me the opportunity to train them and find happiness through their happiness. I learned a lot from training with Marco. He explains the technique so well, and how you should think during a fight, and where to look at. I never got that from other instructors that I went to. Hes been doing Jeet Kune Do/ MMA for years even before the UFC got so big. He teaches techniques for sport and for real life self defense. Highly Recommend.(show more)
