Professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, I highly recommend Natalie for voice and piano lessons.
My daughter is taking guitar lessons from Ian and having a great experience. I think she is getting good and patient instruction and a reasonable but still somewhat challenging amount of homework. Shortly after beginning, she was encouraged to do a recital, and I initially thought it was too early, but it ended up being a really good and motivating event. We do lessons at the Dublin location and are overall very satisfied.
I've been taking guitar lessons with Jimmy for over a year and with him I have learned lots of techniques, foundational knowledge, musicianship and an overall method for studying music. I look forward to each lesson, as I know it will be a comfortable place to explore music and he always has something new to work on that is a great next step-- Every time! Jimmy is always generous with his knowledge, experience and enthusiasm and I plan to keep learning with him for a long time.
I took guitar lessons from John May a few years back for about a year. I was an intermediate level guitarist who had played for years. I have always had a passion for guitar, but at that point I was in quite a slump; sort of an impasse as to where to go next with my playing. My first lesson with John was an eye opener. He played a classical piece that he was working on, and I was totally inspired. For the next year we explored everything from Classical to Jazz swing. I don't know what to say except for that John opened my eyes to a whole world of potential for my playing. He re-kindled my passion for music! To this day I maintain that passion having succeeded in building on my own style and presence as a guitarist. I still recall this experience as I hone my playing skills thinking, "what would John suggest I do with this piece..?". Thank you John for an amazing experience! - Mark U.
Just awesome! Adam is a very good instructor who is very friendly, polite and kind. I was nervous about starting learning something new (in this case, it's a guitar lesson), Adam made the experience so relaxed and enjoyable!! His approach is very well structured and efficient. I love getting lessons from him!!!
My 10-year old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Ms. Lilia for over 2 years now. She has taken my daughter's talent from not only being able to play the instrument but encouraging her creativity. As a result of her teaching/coaching my daughter has been able to become more creative in playing and wrote a few songs. I highly recommend her to anyone.
I am extraordinarily pleased with my ukulele lessons with Steven Fox. In just a very short time, I have already started playing. He is a consummate professional and quite a talented musician. I'm excited to go to the lessons every week!
Charley has given my teenager guitar lessons for almost 3 years. He started with no experience and is now playing both acoustic and electric guitars. Charley is flexible, really good with children/teens, and has a wealth of music knowledge.
I took my 10 year old son to Z. Guitar Studio hoping guitar lessons would help overcome his low self esteem. After just two lessons my son was smiling when the lesson was over and telling me how 'cool' it was to play a guitar! He looks forward to every lesson. Z. Guitar Studio knew how to put my son at ease and shows genuine happiness on his improvement at the end of each lesson. I highly recommend Z. Guitar Studio because there is no pressure to spend tons of money and the lesson is based on helping my son to improve at his level and ability. A very professional studio. Thank you Z. Guitar Studio!!
My 4 year old daughter and I have been taking piano lessons for the past 4 months. We have a wonderful teacher in Philip. He is so patient with my daughter and so helpful to me. It is so easy to have the lessons in our home. I don't have to worry about traffic, being late, or rounding up my daughter to get to lessons. PLIYH also has a wonderful lending library so you don't have to buy many books. I would recommend them to anyone.
Chris Whitney is a very knowledgeable and encouraging teacher and I highly recommend him to anybody wanting to study guitar in central Ohio. He has a wide-ranging musical vocabulary and is comfortable teaching various styles of music, such as jazz, classical, rock, folk, etc. As I continue my work as a professional classical guitarist, I often look back on my formative years spent with Chris so I can re-connect with the love and energy from those weekly lessons.
I spent years learning guitar from anyone anywhere that I could. I went to instructors working out of mom n pop guitar shops, that would charge $20/hr. to teach a song out of a tab book I HAD PURCHASED!! I always thought that was insane! Other instructors would teach proper technique, but then cut me loose, citing "There's nothing more for me to teach you". I always felt that technique should be the first thing learned, and then basic barre chords, followed by songs/tricks/etc! Wouldn't that make more sense? The Van method will assess your level of ability, and devise a personalized practice regiment that's just right for you. Even if you're a beginner, or moderately seasoned, there's always something new to discover!
I teach guitar to students of all ages and ability levels. As a former high-school teacher, I have experience working with different learning styles and abilities. I also cater my teaching to the desires of the student (and often the parents) when they have specific goals in mind. As more and more schools cut music programs, I have found it useful that I have extensive knowledge of music theory, as this allows me to expand beyond a typical guitar instruction and enrich the student's experience with something they might not get elsewhere.
I have been playing guitar for 40 plus years. I teach the basics of the guitar. My styles include rock, blues and R&B. I teach you what you want to learn. Remember "you must crawl before you can walk".
I am a rock/cover lead guitarist, and I will show how to play your most favorite songs. Plus, I will make midi/MP3 tracks for you to practice along too. I will also show you scales and chord progressions. Once you think you are ready, you can play with the band, or even open for the band with your new group.
I have over 30 years of experience in playing and teaching guitar and am certified as a recording engineer. I specialize in folk rock but can play and teach any style. I also play mandolin and electric and upright bass.
I provide guitar lessons for all skill levels. I love teaching kids, but they must be able to do simple addition and subtraction. The rate for a half-hour session is $25, and the full-hour session is $35.
At any age, it's never too late to begin playing guitar. I teach people how to play guitar and how to read tablature.
I am a current guitar, piano and voice teacher looking to expand my student list. I have been teaching for over a year, and I offer competitive rates among most studios. Rates will vary depending on distance I would have to travel to your home, or if you come to my home studio. I also accept students of all ages. Vocal specialties include rock, jazz, opera and classical.
I've been teaching for over 20 years for all ages, from 4-year-olds to seniors. I teach classical, popular, jazz, blues and more. I have over 10 years of my piano recital's best on YouTube -- search on "mypianostudents playlist." I have been able to advance hardworking students to playing Beethoven's Fur Elise in only 3 years.
We offer musical lessons of all kinds, and we are specializing in guitar of all levels: beginner, intermediate and beyond.I will work closely with you to find out exactly what you want to learn.Fast, and produce the best possible results. Plus, you'll have a good time doing it! Guitar instruction is important to me simply because I have experienced so much in my life and have learned a number of key concepts of what to do to understand the guitar (and what NOT to do!). I believe I am very good at teaching, not simply because I understand the guitar, but because I understand the students. Looking forward to hearing from you. Happy Holidays!, Mark
