First let me start off by saying the entire experience with chef Tony was phenomenal. I treated my awesome wife to her first in home personal chef experience for her birthday. Chef Tony provided everything from table dressings to cleanup. My wife had a delicious stuffed lobster while I enjoyed a wonderful filet mignon. We had about 4 courses all delicious. He was very accommodating with the menu and very personable during the dinner. Highly recommend him and can't wait to book his services again. Thank you again Chef Tony!!!
Our experience with Anton and his assistant was beyond amazing. Everyone has an expectatIon of how they want their event to be presented. From a sit down dinner wIth cocktail hour for 25 people in our home for thanksgiving. The PRESENTATION was phenomenal. it looked like a Norman Rockwell painting, the turkey, the ham, the gluten free dishes, all the family favorites that we requested. Done to perfection. This was the first holiday meal that I was able to enjoy my guests and not worry about cleaning up afterwards. Everyone raved about the food. Plenty of leftovers that didn't go to waste. We had take home containers for everyone. That was such a hit. That about 10 later we had our company holiday feast in our home catered by Anton. He was able to cater to all dietary needs. From vegan, to paleo, to very upscale palate pleasing dishes. So we challenged Anton one more time, for Christmas eve with our loved ones of 27 give or take. We asked him to do the Italian feast of the seven fishes. Omg is all I can say. What a presentation, from the cocktail hour before dinner, then our sit down dinner with mussels,scallops,clams, and crab. Then we had wrapped filet mignon cooked to order for each person along with grilled vegetables and an assortment of gluten free and vegan dishes to please everything. Even the homemade ice cream that Anton makes himself is yummy. He does not rush you to finish and I appreciated sooo Much. We had lil ones to tend to, so we didn't get a chance to all sit at once sometimes. Anton made us feel like a royalty in our castle, and he was our personal chef. If we could rate him at ten stars, that still wouldn't be enough. He is very versatile in his cooking and preparation and presentation of the meals he prepares. I recently switched sd cards in my phone, or I would have posted some pictures. When I locate,I will post. Price wise, he is reasonable and will work within your Budget and still give you the most enjoyable experience. Champagne dreams and cavier wishes should be one of Anton tag lines. I will say, in the future, the sooner you can plan your event, the better your chances of having Anton fulfill your desire to WOW your guests. Thank You Anton and family, for making our holiday gatherings something to remember .

Last week our daughter and son-in-law gave us the wonderful gift of Chef Jim! The personal chef experience was perfect in everyway. The meal was selected based on our food preferences (which had been shared ahead of time by our daughter). Chef Jim could not have prepared anything more delicious. I am still craving the clam soup! He arrived right on time and attended to every detail in a very relaxed, pleasant and professional manner. Through conversation we learned he has many skills and offerings available. I am sure we will be using him in the future. There is only one thing that I wish I could change .I wish I knew about Chef Jim much sooner!

WHEN PRESIDENT CLINTON CAME TO OUR HOUSE, WE CALLED DEIRDRE! We are repeat clients of D'Lish, which I think speaks to our continued enjoyment of the wonderful job that Deirdre and her team consistently do. At the center, the food is always that star of the show - but of equal importance is the level of service that surrounds the delivery of the food. Deirdre works with you on every detail - from menu selection, help with wines, service staff and bartenders - and manages to take the stress out of a party or event and lets you enjoy the guests. When we learned that President Bill Clinton would be coming to our house for a fund raiser - and only had 8 days to organize the food, drinks and service for an event with 75 people - Deirdre was our first call. We knew that we could rely on her delivering a knock-out event, which she did. But so much more than that, she went above and beyond and assisted with so many of the details and logistics of the event that I don't think we could have pulled off without her. I highly recommend Deirdre and her team at D'Lish.
Chef Tameka obviously loves her craft... as it is quite evident by her end product(s). Her food is fresh and well prepared. First off, the menu Chef Cathy put together for our international theme was perfectly balanced and diverse. The food was a hit with our guests! Working with Jersey Girl Cafe was easy and quick responses to every question. Very accommodating and I would be happy to hire them again. They were not late but not early either so if you start at 11:30 let them know you need them there by 11:15 at latest. Paper goods that came were included but don't count on it to cover your head count, buy separately.

I am looking to get a name for myself, and let my reputation speak for itself before I want to become profitable. I am a self-taught at-home cook or personal chef. I've always been able to cook since I was a child, but over the past 8 or so years, my skill level has really jumped leaps and bounds. Long story short, I was about 23 or 24 when I was fairly broke. I am now 31. I had to work with what was in my pantry and refrigerator every night on a very tight budget. Combined that with books and the food network, I was able to create some really tasty and unique dishes. Over the years, I've come a long way in my career, outside of cooking, to be able to afford better and fresher products, and my skill level and technique have exceeded my expectations beyond belief. Over the past four or five years, I really started to notice that people I would cook for weren't just saying "Oh, this is good. Can I have the recipe?" It was more along the lines of "Wow, I would order this any day of the week in a restaurant." Or "This is amazing. You really should think about opening up a restaurant or get a TV cooking show." It was then when I realized this skill might be a little bit more than just an above-average at-home cook type of ability. I did some work in a professional kitchen, while I was in Colorado at a three-star restaurant. This was more of getting a feel of the day-to-day life of running a kitchen. The executive chef really took me under his wings, and showed me a lot of little things that I probably never would've even thought about. From there, I started doing personal chef work and small party catering for friends and family. I did this all free of charge, because I loved it so much. My brother, who can be a skeptic, or some might say a realist, of my crazy ideas, even told me this is something I should really go for. That brings us to the present. I got married and moved to Philly in a three-week period from early March to the beginning of April, so I had taken some time off, before and after that period, to get organized. Since then, I cooked for a mothers' day party at our tiny loft apartment in Old City, for 15 people, and it was a huge hit. I literally did everything when it came to food prep, cooking, and so on. My wife and I recently put together a fundraiser event for our dog's knee surgery. Society hill's newest restaurant let us take over the place for a day to help raise funds for our pup and local animal shelters. I took over the kitchen, and cooked for about 60 or so people, and probably put out 300 plus hors d'oeuvres, more or less by myself. We actually had a full-page article in the Philadelphia Daily News about it. We're going to be on Mary Talks Money, comcast channel 245, and NBC 10 is going to do a piece on it, too. So that's more or less my story. I hate to use a cliche term, but I do a lot of fusion. Italian and Asian, mixed with some modern American, is probably the best way to describe my cooking. For example, I called one of the hors d'oeuvres I cooked at the fundraiser as an Asian inspired eggplant Rollatini. It was thin eggplant slices marinated in sesame oil, and then grilled. Placed in a wonton wrapper, and topped with a garlic basil ricotta mixture, and rolled. After it has been pan seared for a crispy outside, I topped it with a sweet and spicy oyster sauce, and soy sauce reduction. That is probably a good example of me in a nutshell when it comes to my style. I am also excellent with normal Italian and Asian cuisine, and my modern American cuisine has really come along way. Usually, there is an Italian or Asian twist on my modern American dishes. With all that being said, I can do simple, traditional or more everyday cooking very easily.
