Jedi Training. That's what I like to call my guitar lessons. Because Trevor teaches you how to use the force. I like how Trevor gets me out of my left brain with exercises like closing my eyes while I pick out chords & notes. He know how to push me past my comfort zone while still keeping it fun. The topics of lessons aren't one size fits all (like some teachers that teach the same thing every week to all their students) But he tailors each lessons to my interests & deftly weaves all aspects of music together from theory, to chord structure, to picking, to levitating x-wings using your mind.
Amir teache my douther to play the guitar since the last year. My douter has a adhd problem, and amir with his spacial way found the right method to teach her to play. I want to mention that we try a few teacher before we get to amir, and the experience was not so good. For my douter the guitar lessons with amir are excellent experience.
I started guitar lessons with Chris Primeau as a complete beginner. After six months of his thoughtful and well-designed curriculum combined with his patient encouragement, I’m pretty much playing the songs I love. I’m sure I don’t begin to appreciate the extent of his guitar skills. I do know a lot about teaching, and Chris is a gifted teacher—professional, innovative, enthusiastic, organized, knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.
Steve is a charismatic, patient, listening, fair, and flexible teacher. His diverse musical genre background and his ability to take you into the vast world of music without overwhelming you is a rarity for teachers. I highly recommend his teachings to any level of guiarist/musician from "I don't know how to hold my guitar" to the "I eat Eddie Van Halen for snack cakes." My STORY: At first when I started beginner lessons with Steve, I really didn't know anything and was using a penny as a pick. Not to overwelm me, he got me started on some technique for picking (wth a real pick) and a few basic chord/progression from music I enjoy (from Metallica/Nirvana to Led Zepplin/Pink Floyd and random in betweens on request). I took those lessons and continued to grow as a guitarist. Then a plateu happened and writers block set in. After, a few years had gone by, I picked up the guitar and lessons with Steve again. This time being more advanced than I was previous, he got me head over heels in love with theory, composition and finger picking which is a whole 'nother world of playing!!! I play gigs at coffee houses, bonfires and house parties doing modified covers and original music. I'm hooked on daily playing now! I also used to be so apprehensive about jamming with other people better than me. But because Steve would free jam with me a little past the out time with what I learned, I began feel comfortable with playing with just about anyone. probably had a few dozen sessions with the guy over the years and I never remember him abrubtly stopping a lesson cause the time was up unless there was someone else waiting. My impression of him, was he was more interested in your discovery and elevation than what time it was for the class to end. Who does that??? This is what I know at least as far as formalities go, Steve has a killer guitar performance background from thrash to funk to rock to clasical-not limited to any of them. He also can provide some insight and technique in recording, drumming, and some digital sound creation programs. His credentials are a shining star as he went to Stetson University here in Florida for his music degree. If you don't know anything about Stetson, look it up-it's not an easy school to complete and only can be done with the best of dedications (12-18hours of music a day) I aspired to go, I couldn't cut it. He is diverse, well travelled, has been in arrays of bands, gigged solo, and currently in a somewhat duelling classical guitar thing called En Fuego (If you need a demo of his level of play, listen to that-WOW WOW WOW-I only dream....). I'm pretty sure he does some studio recording nowadays and more than likely has his own rig to record himself and students if requested. Anyway, yeah I'm a nerd cause I wrote a book of a review, but this guy deserves a good referrence as he has worked for it and brought me and many others up to a level not thought previously possible. So stop reading and call him, hire him, ENSLAVE him to your requests! You won't be disappointed!
I have been taking guitar lessons from Nick recently, and he is great! Very patient and explains things in a way I can understand. Doesn't jump down your throat the way some instructors do. Know he also teaches voice and keyboard lessons, and believe they'd be a good bet too. I would definitely recommend him!!
My son has enjoyed his guitar lessons and he has excelled under Steve's instruction! I highly recommend Steve as an instructor and musician!
Jason is extremely professional and very attentive to detail! He produced my first CD and graced my original singles with his amazing guitar riffs. Clockright Studio is not only a studio I will continue to work with, but it is extremely affordable! Keep Rockin! Nisha Nandez
I took guitar lessons with Tim a couple years ago before he moved away. I knew his skill and talent from his previous work in bands and it was a no-brainer for me to go to him. His ability to assess where you are at as a student and apply the proper curriculum to help advance you in your craft is what you would expect from a quality teacher such as Tim. If you're looking to open your creativity, you can't go wrong seeking guidance with him. He's got my recommendation 🖒👍
My daughter took guitar lessons with Daniel Dyer. He is a wonderful teacher who helped a beginning student learn the basics and so much more! We highly recommend Dan for guitar lessons!
Jose is extremely knowledgeable in many varieties of guitar styles. He is also very patient! He makes every class fun. Definitely one of the best guitar instructors I've encountered in a long time!
I recently started working with Jose on flamenco guitar lessons with almost no experience playing the guitar. Jose breaks everything down and begins with the basics and makes sure you understand the fundamentals. He's really flexible and accommodating with his schedule and makes it to where it is convenient for the both of you. I would highly recommend him for guitar lessons; he is an excellent instructor and passionate about teaching!
So far, and I haven't started my first lesson yet, they are very easy to work with and very flexible with my schedule.
Learning the Guitar under David's tutelage has been a very enjoyable experience. I could not have found a better instructor. He makes learning theory fun. I'm looking forward to continue my work with David. So, if you're looking for an instructor, look no further. You will not be disappointed. He loves to teach and it comes through how much during each lesson.
Ulrich is probably the best guitar instructor I have taken lessons from ever and here is why. Guitarists especially ones that like to play rock love to go fast and tend to develop sloppy techniques. Ulrich teaches you expression and how to make the notes come alive with color and feeling. In just 2 lessons teaching me basic BB King and Santana styles made all the difference and opened a whole new world on guitar for me. Music on any instrument is a journey and to be approached as an explorer.Guys like Satriani and Vai are always exploring and going into deeper dimensions with the sound. Ulrich can help you explore like those guys. The possibilities are endless and Ulrich is a wonderful musician, that has the kindness and patience to get you there relatively quickly. I like that Ulrich makes a CD recording of the lessons for review which has helped me a whole lot. I plan on taking more lessons in 2016 and seeing more of his creations at concerts. Hes one of those musicians that just gets better and better and better and realizes that all the formal schooling and degrees was only the beginning. Definitely worthy of being called a Guitar Guru or Medicine man of the guitar. Yes some can amaze you with the guitar...Ulrich can amaze you and teach you how to do it as well. I'm honored I crossed paths with Ulrich and Sabine Ellison---2 wonderful people I'm blessed to know.
Very patient, fun guy to take lessons from. Teaches both 3-finger and clawhammer. Plays in lots of bands in Austin, so it's also fun to hear stories of someone out there living the dream.
Our 13 year old son loved his first lesson experience.
