Latest Review: It was my first time using Thumbtack - My wife and I decided to look for a personal trainer. After going thru some choices that were narrowed down to our liking, we shot off rate/quote request to about 5 personal trainers nearby. To start off, what I liked about Zak was that I got a call from him IMMEDIATELY. Showed that he was serious, so I took the call and had a brief discussion on what we were looking for. Moving on to first meeting.. First meeting was free and during that time, he really took the time to get to know our needs, strengths, study our posture and make corrective suggestions. After the session, prices were discussed and on we go. There you have it - Simple, no hassle or obligation to we were signed up for his training. For people who are looking for a personal trainer, I know this can be a virgin territory. It certainly was for us. Zak understood that and took us from the basics. He offers nutrition programs (which is included in the rate for training - Can't be that). Nutrition program is designed for each individual and not that one plan fits all. My workouts are far different from my wife's workout. He has tremendous knowledge in what he is doing and is a dedicated student in learning more himself. Very respectful and a humble individual he is. We get weighed in end of every week and progress is recorded. You can really tell that he cares for your goals and not like other trainer that I've heard horror stories about, who only care about the money. With Zak, you are not just his paycheck - he truly cares for the well being. Zak being a powerlifter, he has shared many tips on better posture, better workout, and muscle recovery remedies. It's unusual for me to write a review online for anything, but when I know that I'm working with the best and with a person who is honest and genuinely cares for people, the least I can do is to pay it forward and let everyone know about what Zak has to offer. Give him a call - First session is free anyways, what do you have to lose?

Latest Review: I definitely lucked out finding Jason! My beloved former trainer recommended Jason a couple of months ago. There’s always some trepidation when you start with a new trainer but I could not be more pleased… Jason is upbeat, professional, extremely knowledgeable, and fun!! Our first session was a discussion about my fitness goals, my diet, and my pertinent history. (I am a lapsed marathon runner, middle-aged female, have a couple of medical issues, struggle with body comp--normal BMI but overfat...you get the picture). I had already gained some muscle and lost 10+ pounds in the months before meeting Jason. He swept in and continues to push me toward my goals. My strength training sessions with him (2x per week) leave me sore – he does not go easy on you! He gives great dietary advice. He is super-enthusiastic about his role and you can tell he has a real passion for sharing what he knows. He explains things, so you learn to connect “what to do” with “why you should”. All of which leads to success: I am building muscle! Jason has my full endorsement, I would recommend him to anyone seeking to improve body strength/fitness!!

Latest Review: Lex is a bad ass who cares about his clients. He has a lot of experience in many disciplines (fitness, body building, nutrition, and self defense). His no non-sense approach yeilds results. If you are looking for a day spa, not the place. Come to work and see the results

Latest Review: Jose does a terrific job of paying close attention to my form as I work out. I've had other trainers that spent more time looking in the mirror than watching me resulting in injuries. Jose focuses on not only improving my strength but also stretching to prevent further injuries. His workouts are unique each time so I never know what's in store for each session. I would highly recommend him for the beginner or elite athlete, his workouts are customized to each person.

Latest Review: When I started my search for a personal trainer, I did not know where to start. I knew I would likely need the person to meet me at my office gym because I work many hours. Also, knowing myself and my likelihood of continuing a workout routine and sticking to it decreases for each pause point (getting out of the office, driving out of the office garage to a gym, etc) that is baked into the process of getting to in an effective day's workout. I found Gigi on Thumbtack, reviewed her website, and made contact. Her response time was fantastic. We setup a time to discuss what I was looking for by phone. During the convo by phone, she recommended us meeting face-to-face (no pressure and no charge for either the call or the f-t-f meeting). Upon meeting her, I was impressed with her punctuality, communicating abilities (text, ability to use GPS for address locations, asking the questions I would expect when starting a workout routine, etc), her attentiveness to my answers to questions, and a no-pressure approach to discussing my training needs. I decided to try personal gym training for the first time and bought a package of sessions. I have now finished one package of sessions and feel stronger and have noticed more definition in my body tone. If you are considering personal training, be honest with yourself about: 1) how hard you push yourself when you work out alone. I know without a doubt that I would probably given about 50% (at best) of the push during my workout that I gave when working with Gigi. 2) the likelihood of actually getting to the location to workout (there are always more appealing options that we all rationalize our excuses away when deciding to blow off our solo attempts to go to the gym--friends meeting for dinner, family obligations, errands, and the list is endless) when going solo to the gym 3) the time (even a couple of hours a week) and the money you put into your workout really is for YOU, your health (physical and mental), and your life. I recommend Gigi for your training needs. She always has a variety of workouts (and even brings many different tools with her to add variety to the workout), takes notes of the workouts completed each visit, and strikes the right balance of push with a careful eye on your actual capacity as to not push into unhealthy territory for your body and physical level--this point is important because there are so many people with different capacities, different ages, needs, etc. Reach out to her, contact her, you will not be disappointed. Take a step for YOU and your health.
