I am a procrastinator by nature so as usual my wife's birthday was fast approaching and I needed to figure out what gift I can give her at the last minute. After years of being together in my mind I felt that I was running out of creative gifts to give her until I was browsing online about what to give women who are 5 months pregnant for their birthday. Then it it hit me let me see if I can have a personal chef come to house and cook for the family. Upon looking online and searching through the vast number of chefs, Chef Serge Pambo Executive chef and owner of Pure Kitchen Culinary Concept caught my attention for a couple of reasons; he had quite a number of reviews and his price was reasonable. Additionally when I looked at his website Sergepambo.com his resume was complete with a number of experiences which assured me that we would have a quality experience and indeed we did. The first reason I was impressed was his quick response time, I wanted a chef to come on a Sunday and began looking two days prior. I also wanted to pay him prior to the experience but he insisted that we pay after we had our meal. Upon arrival he was punctual, friendly, and flexible (our kitchen was small and the ventilation was not the best also it was four adults including my pregnant wife and our 2 and a half year old son). Chef Pambo came prepared with his cooking equipment and as soon as he arrived began to work. This was my first experience having a chef so I was a little ignorant of the protocol and did not know if we should talk to him to keep him company while he cooked or leave him alone but he was more than willing to engage in conversation which created a relaxed environment. The first meal was an appetizer shrimp wrapped with bacon which was delicious and hit the spot for everyone especially my pregnant wife. The next meal comprised of creamy palinta, salmon seared on one side and oven baked on the other, along with tender and well seasoned beef, lightly saltaued asparagus, potato wedges, and we topped the meal off with bread pudding with ice cream over wafers. In between each meal Chef Pambo provided us with a layout of each course, history of the meal as well as his culinary training, and other interesting facts about his journey. After we were full of joy because due to the meal the chef even washed the dishes and cleaned the kitchen so it was as spotless or even more so than when he came to the home. I highly recommend Chef Pambo the quality of his food was outstanding, his professionalism is second to none, and his service versatility makes him uniquely qualified to be one of the best chefs among his peers. He has cooked all around the world, written books, can cater to any number of people or situations, and continues to travel the world to keep his skills sharp. He is a five star chef and I highly recommend you experience the culinary genuis of Chef Pambo executive chef of Pure Kitchen Culinary Concept.
