As a professional writer, I also have more than 25 years of experience in corporate America. I understand the fundamentals of business management, marketing, and promotion of a business. Combined with a detailed knowledge of healthcare, preventive medicine, healthy living, child development and growth, and related areas, I have the knowledge and experience to produce a comprehensive offering of writing services. I also have a proven track record of success on multiple websites and for private clients. My ability to communicate succinctly and consistently add to my professional abilities to work collaboratively with my clients.
At the very beginning of our working relationship, Jane spent a GREAT deal of time helping me narrow down what the specific and unique focus of my book was, and the time she took to help me with this critical foundational aspect of the whole book was monumentally important. In similar fashion, she devoted a lot of time and expertise toward helping me identify and promote myself as a legitimate author whose voice and authority are valid and necessary. Then throughout the writing and editing stages, Jane engaged herself in the work not only as a copy editor but also as a potential consumer/reader of the book, which pushed me to make the content more coherent and more accessible to the reader. In addition to her knowledge and skills regarding format, style, and grammar, she has a good sense of how to maximize a book's chances of attracting, maintaining, and rewarding its readers. Additionally, throughout the entire project, Jane was just as attentive to what the book meant to ME, the author, as she was to what the book would mean to the reader. Overall, I enjoyed the working relationship that Jane and I had, and she helped me to grow in so many ways.
I have a certificate in data entry, and I am working on my associates in accounting with a scheduled graduation time of June 2015. Will do anything within my limits using the tools I have. Anything from clearing overloaded emails, to proof-reading, editing, and/or creating resumes (usually no template, but if you like a certain one, well, that is just fine). I could show you a demo and we could go from there. I enjoy using MicroSoft Word, have the latest version (2013). Also if it is a numbers problem you are encountering, then look no further. I can do small book-keeping, inventories, if you need me on site, just let me know and let's work something out. Need your grass cut, get in touch. For some odd reason I absolutely enjoy data entry projects.
Published mystery writer, cookbook author, and in several national and online magazines. Award winning. Twenty years in the publishing business, working in a variety of editorial jobs.
Such an enthusiastic teacher! We had fun at every class! I took a course with Kimber in preparation for travel to France and she sent me armed with everything thing I needed to get by and then some. I loved her anecdotes and her insight into French culture that I would have never gotten from a teach-yourself-French book. Highly recommend her!
