I bought a new bathroom vanity and the old plumbing wouldn't fit with the new vanity. Nick removed the old pipes and set me up with a new one. He was efficient, thought through alternative approaches for dealing with some challenges, and got the job done. He also pointed out some issues with the work of a previous handyman, and when I asked him if I could pay him to fix that, he encouraged me to ask the previous handyman to do it for free since this is something the other guy should have done right in the first place. This showed Nick's honesty. The price was hard to assess on whether it was high or low since I don't regularly have plumbing jobs, so I can't comment on that.

Very satisfied with the level of service. The contractor arrived on time and performed the job efficiently. He made a couple of recommendations to help improve my plumbing issues. I took those suggestions and had him install them. Things are working better than before. I will definitely call on 1st Home Pro Services again if I ever need other plumbing work. Great Job!

James hooked up a old copper pipe to our new refrigerator/freezer. The line had never been used. He did a good job. His price was fair and he takes credit cards! $180 was the cost. We had another “pro” give us a quote. $700 and wanted to run new pipes through our cabinetry. Thank goodness we found James. The other fella was a joke.

Technician used various methods to resolve the garbage disposal drain issue. Running hot water cleared the drain and saved us a lot of money to replace the disposal or the pipes.

Eagle Home improvements did a fantastic job repairing a pipe that burst due to faulty labor from my home builder. They showed me the damage, repaired it quickly, and ensured I knew how to properly shut off the water in the future. I will definitely use them again in the future. They were easy to work with and communicated clearly through Thumbtack throughout the process. I wish every service provider were as easy to work with as Eagle Home.

A pinhole leak developed in my hot water pipe. The section of pipe with the problem was wedged between an HVAC air vent and floor joists. Yovany was prompt (arrived at 2:05 PM to a 2:15 PM appointment). He and I went over a few options of repair and concluded that he would re-route the pipe under the HVAC vent. His work was clean, thorough and efficient. Once remedied he tested the pipe for leaks, then re-secured the pipe to the floor joists. I observed him at every stage and he was very helpful in my understanding of the entire process. All materials not used (about 3 ft. of pipe I kept). When I run into another plumbing problem in this aging house, I will most likely call Barahona Plumbing again. One word to other potential clients: his estimate was for labor only and did not include an estimate for materials.

Needed shut off valves replaced on stuck washer pipes. Kelvin came by same day as I messaged and changed them quickly. Also answered a few of my random questions about the pipes. Very professional and will use again in the future.

I am so glad I chose Gabriel! He was extremely professional, and efficiently and patiently explained to me what he needed to do to restore my burst pipe and SANITY. Before him, I had another plumber try to take advantage of my situation and way overcharge me for the same work but i knew it should NOT cost that much so I got another quote from Gabriel. Wow what a difference and he replaced my pvc pipes with copper! The other ripoff artist where just going to replace with more pvc. Too often people in this profession are DISHONEST but after just one experience with Gabriel, he has earned MY TRUST. His work is impeccable. I highly recommend him and will contact him for all future plumbing needs. Sincerely.

At a time when everyone's pipes were freezing and other plumbers were prioritizing only those whose pipes had burst, Rent2day promptly responded to my request for help and were at my house within 2.5 hours of my call. They were courteous and very knowledgeable and efficient in their time. The price was good and the result excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and to book them for future work.

Although the plumber charged me double on what we agreed, I was happy with the overall performance. The job turned out to be much bigger than it appeared initially. He had to cut the cardboard at 2 places, the pipe at 2 places and remove the dishwasher. Overall, for the amount of work and effort he invested, I got good value. I recommend this professional.

I had a great experience working with this contractor. Initially I asked for a quote for one part of the home and since he was there, asked he if could provide a quote for other parts of the home including my half bath. The price was right and he answered my questions to my liking, so I eventually moved forward with the contract for the half bath. He offered to help me pick up any materials prior to the project start date, though I was able to have materials delivered or picked up on my own time, but I appreciated the gesture. He and his team arrived the day of the start of the project on time and finished in 2 days. There was a hiccup with the piping in my home that was discovered once they started working but they fixed it without issue. I would definitely recommend this company for bath remodels.

Julian and his partner were excellent. I had 2 50 gallon water heaters that broke down and he converted it to a 1 water heater system at 75 gallons. He completed the job in less than 3 hours and was very responsive, gave great instructions, and was very knowledgeable. I was also very surprised with the level of service I received given his quote was toward the low end of the other quotes I received. I will definitely use him again. I also consulted with him on a drain issue and he was very transparent on how I could fix it myself to save me money. He even took the time to tighten a couple of sink pipes that were slowly leaking. On a 5 star scale, I would give him 10 stars if I could.

Mr. Edwards repiped my water pipes in my two-story row home. He answered questions that I had with aplomb. His responses were easy for me to understand. He only knocked down parts of the wall that was necessary to reach and replace pipes. He was efficeint and effective in performing the work that he identified needed to be done. There were no surprises. Best of all, Edwards increased my water pressure threefold. I plan to refer him to my family and friends.

My highest recommendation to Jon Drew! He replied immediately to my inquiry (on a Sunday afternoon!), and was on his way within the hour. He investigated the problem thoroughly, explained what was needed to repair my serious kitchen drain problem, and then did immaculate and highly effective work to correct it. He even checked the entire pipe system and gave me invaluable information regarding maintenance and future repairs. All this for a ***VERY REASONABLE SERVICE COST***. I am extremely happy with his work, and found him to be both highly professional and quite personable to deal with. He has earned a loyal customer in me, and I will not hesitate to call him for all my home plumbing needs in the future. 5 STARS!!

Barry was awesome. He came right away and not only fixed the backed up kitchen sink we called him for, but after mentioning we had just moved into the house and bought it “as-is” he took the time to work through a few other things and explain a lot of good maintenance and prevention tips. Small things like taking his shoes off before going over carpet and explaining the pipes and valves without having to ask him to do so showed that he is truly a dedicated professional in his field.

Overall I received outstanding service at a fair price. Daud offered a ballpark quote via the app, and then an exact number in person with his brother Hamaas. The exact number was about the ball park estimate. Hamaas requested to start the Next day and met me at a local Home Depot at 7 am-He said 7 am and was there at 7 am sharp. The job was to install a bathtub with the drain and overflow, install a new mixing valve and move a toilet flange 2-4 inches (so it wasn't too close to the tub). At Home Depot Hamaas demonstrated his expertise in plumbing, by selecting the material necessary to get the job done. The tasks were a little complicated, as there were pvc pipes to cut and add too, along with copper to cut and solder in. Hamaas gathered the materials and we were on our way. Once at my home, Hamaas made quick work of the project. He worked nonstop 8am till 230pm. He did an outstanding job. As with any project there were some hiccups that were discovered along the way. Hamaas addressed these issues with ease. Overall these guys are great. They are now my plumbers. Skip the lowball offers. These guys have that old fashioned work ethic and quote a fair rate for a highly skilled worker who gets the job done quickly and right. They left this customer completely satisfied.

Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.

We hired Mr. Jones to install a new tub, faucet fixtures, and to do some pipe work as well. He and his associate were very dedicated to performing the job until finished, and they also did so with a high level of quality and professionalism. He was always very respectful and polite during his visit with us. When we needed additional help with something, he was very responsive to our needs and was able to adequately address our questions too. I will be looking to hire Mr. Jones agan for our future plumbing needs!
