Clifford is an accomplished jazz musician who made a special birthday event spectacular. He tailored the performance to meet our needs and we're thankful to him for providing captivating music and making a special evening so memorable.
I signed up with Mindy for violin lessons and just had my first session. As a complete beginner, her explanations were very useful. I am looking forward to my next sessions.
My boys are enjoying their lessons and having fun. Andi is patient, kind and inspires my boys to do their best.
Very patient with my 6 year old and so far it seems to be working. Two lessons down.
Kelly is an enthusiastic teacher! He is willing to spend over time with my kids and makes them engaged. My kids always look forward for his lessons. He also provides my little four year old daughter and myself free lessons! We like him a lot and highly recommend him!
I had a great time taking lessons with David this summer. He is friendly and flexible, and helped me learn to sing and play guitar at the same time. We worked through most of Rubber Soul together! Highly recommend!
We weren't sure what to expect from a self-defense class, but Max offered me a good breakdown over email prior to the coming in to teach, and once here, he was good about demonstrating techniques and allowing the class to do as much or as little as they were comfortable with. I found Max's lessons to be practical for the common person, and his teaching style is to the point, but relaxed. He'll answer questions as you go along and help you to chain together the different things he teaches you. We've asked him back for every other week, so he's definitely doing the right things! We have a lot of fun, but also learn a lot from Max.
My family has started lessons with Juan Carlos, and we're happy we found him. He's a patient teacher who structures lessons based on each student's progression and skill set. He also teaches the "right" way, i.e. fundamentals, thereby setting up students for success. It also helps that he's a nice guy and is extremely responsive with scheduling etc.
Ann is a knowledgeable, patient, and talented teacher! I've completed 7 sessions so far and they have all been so enjoyable because of her teaching style -- encouraging and lighthearted. I have no previous training and didn't know what to expect from voice lessons, but it was easy to follow Ann's guidance. From learning to breathe correctly to singing scales and parts of favorite songs, we've already been through a lot in a short time frame. I look forward to continuing my studies with her.
I can't say enough about my experience with Ken. He is very intuitive. His lessons are balence between exercises and therory. I have alway found myself mentally stimulated, with plenty of work for my fingers. He is very energetic and reaches out between lessons to give you more music to play with. His warm and friendly personality make the lessons fly by. He also willing to work through tought topics without cutting the lesson short (schedule permitting ). I really appreciate his effort into his students. He has also been pretty flexible with my shedule. As an adult these are not the piano lessons I hated as a child. Lol
I'm having a lot of fun! The hour just slips by and my monologue improves tremendously from the start of the lesson. It's also one-on-one so I get all the attention I need.
Marla is a wonderful teacher. I was looking for someone who specializes in classical vocal training and she was perfect. I've had 4 lessons so far and am learning a lot about the mechanics of proper diaphragm usage, placements in order to produce the ideal sound. One thing to remember about learning any instrument (and yes, your voice is an instrument!) is that you won't master it overnight or even over the course of a couple of months. It takes time, practice, and perseverance. So far Marla has been an excellent teacher and I look forward to continue working with her.
Patricia is an equally talented instructor and singer. She was very gentle in guiding the lessons to achievable goals, but I also felt pushed to learn and grow. I was very happy with my progress with her. She worked with me on the songs I wanted while suggesting songs that would compliment my growth. Her exercises and warmups stretched my voice and I felt I made real progress in my lessons with her. I will definitely take more lessons with Patricia in the future
Forrest was a great teacher. Unfortunately, we had to end lessons do to confusion with work, however my time spent with him instilled good guitar habits in the even that I continue to pursue guitar!
I wanted to learn how to improvise better after having played classical piano for 8 years. After a few lessons Im getting really comfortable! Jeffrey works at my pace, and provides examples from the greats of jazz music to inform how I ought to think about scales, intervals, and improvisation. Great teacher and I cant wait for more.
My girlfriend and I have had two lessons with Cristian so far and we love his interactive teaching style! He does a great job of making the lesson fun and approachable. The most difficult part about learning a language is allowing yourself to make mistakes, and Cristian does a great job of making this possible. Would definitely recommend!
Emily was superbly welcoming and nice. She was very understanding of how nervous my daughter felt when she started, and how self conscious my daughter was about her singing. Emily encouraged her and brought up her confidence by a lot. My daughter loves going to the lessons and enjoys singing a lot nowadays. I would recommend Emily to people of all ages and ability.
I enjoyed how Alison interacted with my children in teaching the guitar and piano.not only was she professional, knowledgable, but she made the lessons enjoyable. My children look forward to their lessons & I would reccomend her wholeheartedly
Jerry is full of knowledge of music in general, bass technical chops, and history. Perfect lessons to begin learning the bass. Thanks!
Ania is superb! She has a pragmatic approach to teaching which I enjoy. She has a wealth of knowledge and an instinct for teaching. I completed my first session with her and will definitely continue on!
I studied the flute as a music major in college and returned to the piano later in life for my enjoyment. I have had many excellent music teachers throughout the years, and Martin ranks with the very best. He always starts by telling me what he appreciates about my playing in the lessons. He then goes on to make suggestions about how I can play as musically as possible. Lessons with Martin are always lively and interesting. He never assigns any of those horrible technical exercises that have been written for the piano. Instead he helps me develop my technique by suggesting fascinating and beautiful pieces to work on. I always leave my lessons musically inspired, and this carries through into my practicing between lessons. He has helped me enjoy playing the piano more and more. Martin is extremely intelligent, yet humble. He has a terrific sense of humor. And of course, his piano playing is beautiful. I cannot recommend Martin highly enough!
