This review is long overdue, but I'm so glad that we had Radish & Rose cater our wedding! I got married at The Hudson Loft, and Ariana and her team provided amazing food, super attentive service, and went above and beyond to make sure that everything went off without a hitch. We were so glad to have them as a part of our big day! We'd met with a few caterers when we were first planning our wedding, but Radish & Rose was the obvious choice for us. Their staff was friendly and open to our ideas/input from day one, plus they had the best food and planning options. They took care of every detail, which is so important when you're booking a raw space and need to rent tables/chairs, place settings, and just about everything else. Ariana thought of everything and was able to answer all of our little questions and gave us advice on the things that we were clueless about. She made our day stress-free so we were able to focus on having a great time!
I found 3 Little Birds on Thumbtack and instantly fell in love with the way Jessica and Dustin communicated and worked with me and my fiancé! We hired them as day of wedding planners and got an initial meet &a greet, timeline meeting, wedding rehearsal and the day of. Here's what makes them 5 stars. Dustin is an absolute gem and has the creative view to help pull the wedding day together. He used bridesmaid bouquets as extra decor, reused ceremony flowers for the reception and helped with every detail including me asking him to move some things around when they didn't look exactly how I pictured them. He checked in throughout the night and was amazing! Jessica is everything you could ever want in a wedding planner and she is absolutely wonderful. Organized. Thorough. Great communication. But honestly the entire wedding day and night she kept asking me and my husband if needed anything. She bustled my dress for me, brought us appetizers and drinks and honestly made me feel like a princess. I had no worries the entire night! I highly recommend you have them stay to help clean up, it was a god send. Thank you Jessica and Dustin!!
After a caterer canceled ten days before my bride's wedding, the Mark Kearney Group reached out to me with their services. The menu they proposed reflected my client's palette perfectly: serving a light breakfast, BBQ lunch, wild caught raw bar for cocktail hour, and braised short rib for dinner - everything tasted impeccable. Prior to the day, Mark and his team were responsive to changes in the menu and food count. Likewise, the level of professionalism left me (the wedding planner) at ease - I felt very confident that Mark was going to produced great work, and my instincts were well-founded. On site, Mark went above and beyond to perform. The limited space and lack of air conditioning in the kitchen did not affect his care for each dish that was sent out. Furthermore, the team members he brought were kind and helpful. I can not imagine how the day would have gone without Mark's services. I only hope we work together soon!
One of my most favorite details on my wedding day was my ceremony florals and the bouquets that Wendy did. If only I had known that Wendy would do such a perfect job, I would have her do my reception florals as well. I was in Canada (wedding was in California) when I decided to hire Wendy for my wedding florals (ceremony gazebo and aisle, bouquets, boutonnières, corsages). We only talked on the phone and exchanged emails. I sent her pictures of what I wanted the colors to be like and told her what I wanted them to be like and Wendy copied them perfectly. I think her flowers were even better than the pictures I sent her! She was also very flexible and didn't mind that I had to email her a couple of times when some details or my preferences have changed. Come the wedding day and I finally got to meet Wendy. We didn't say a lot as we were all very busy but she was a very pleasant lady and she made sure to drop by the bridal suite to say hi. She even stayed up until the end of the ceremony. Now, that is good service. Don't think twice, do hire Wendy. Her great attention to detail clearly showed on her work. I was very impressed and seeing how beautiful she arranged my bouquet flowers and ceremony florals made me really happy on my wedding day.
I hired Sierra Madre to cater a come-and-go brunch for close friends and out-of-town guests the morning after my daughter’s wedding. Initially I was concerned about travel time from Monrovia to my home in the Larchmont area of Los Angeles, but Tonya (owner-chef) assured me she would allow for all eventualities and be there with plenty of time to set up and be ready before the guests arrived. The menu was mimosas, orange juice, lox, bagel & cream cheese (with the usual trimmings), vegetarian omelets, pancakes, cut fruit, and sour cream coffee cake, coffee and tea. Everything turned out perfect! Tonya and her assistant, Chris, were at my house early, got set up and were ready to go before the guests started arriving. The food was wonderful. The on-the-spot food, pancakes and omelets, were outstanding; and Tonya’s sour cream coffee cake was a BIG hit. The guests loved everything. The only glitch was an under estimation of how much lox, bagels and cream cheese the guests would consume. Fortunately, I had anticipated that could happen and had an extra 60 ounces of lox on hand and an extra pint of cream cheese, and we have two bagel shops within walking distance. Tonya was great to work with and having her cater made my life so much easier. It was a beautiful brunch, within my budget, and I am thankful that I took the chance on hiring her company as I had relied solely on the Thumbtack reviews when I made the choice. I’ll definitely use Sierra Catering again. The only suggestion I might make is that more attention be paid to the serving dishes used. Mixing bowls really aren’t attractive bowls to put on the buffet table.
Ingrid was able to put together a candy table in two days for my wedding! She was very attentive, asked a lot of questions to ensure she was able to meet expectation and overall made me feel like she genuinely cared. The candy table matched the colors of my wedding perfectly and my guest enjoyed the candy and Rice Krispie treats.
I loved everyone!!!! They made our day even more special. Loved how Storm got on the dance floor and let loose.
We initially hired Michelle to do a quick hour-long walk through of our wedding venue to help us think through which rentals we would need and how to best use the space, since we felt in over our heads but also like a day-of wedding planner/coordinator would be entirely out of our budget. After spending two hours with Michelle and hearing all her advice on how to best use the space, we knew we wanted to have her with us on the big day. Not only is she professional and really knows what she is doing, but she is warm and friendly, which doesn't hurt!! We were on a tight budget, but her rate was very affordable considering all the work she put into our event. A few weeks before our event, when we were so swamped and stressed we couldn't even figure out how to ask other people for help and delegate tasks for them, Michelle scheduled a call with us in which she walked us through a series of questions that led us to think through things we didn't even have on our radar. I can't stress enough how helpful this was, as we were at a point where we definitely couldn't have identified what we needed help with without her guiding us through that conversation. As we went through the to-do lists, she offered to help in way more ways than I was anticipating. At the event, she was even better than we could have imagined. I think having a day-of coordinator is something we didn't realize nearly how much we'd appreciate until we saw Michelle in action. Although there were minor hiccoughs throughout the day (various vendors' faults, not Michelle's), Michelle made it so that to us, the day felt flawless and smooth. Not only that, but she took pictures throughout and got some of the best photos of the night!! We can't recommend her enough. If hiring a coordinator is something you are on the fence about, just know you will NOT regret hiring Michelle!! She's simply the best!
Michelle and Eimee were absolutely wonderful to work with! I was a bride planning my wedding from Maryland. I was really worried about the floral arrangements because I was not in California until a couple of weeks before my wedding. Michelle and Eimee always kept me in the loop and consistently communicated with me via Skype and email. They researched flowers that would complete my vision and fit within my budget. Everything turned out so beautiful! I cannot thank them enough!
There are not enough words to thank Ricki! She came in and saved our day. We knew we needed a local wedding planner because we live out of state and arrived in California just two days before our wedding. Ricki had everything all planned and ready to go down to the last detail. She has a way of working with people as the neutral third party to make everything go smoothly so all venders are working together in a most congenial way. She worked with us, giving us the fairy tale wedding we imagined. On the day-of, she assisted with making sure everything was set up as we envisioned for this most special venue. I would highly recommend Ricki for the most accurate and attentive service. There is no way we could have done it without her!
I was in search for a luxury wedding planner for a private estate for my wedding. I could never the perfect venue space without her help! The private estate that I am going to have my wedding is simply beautiful! I called a lot of local planners and spoke to a few on thumbtack to find the right place, but she was the only one to care genuinely about my needs and concerns and delivered QUICKLY. Now she is my wedding planner. She is very professional and extremely good at follow-through. She has a solid experience and great connections in the industry. I will recommend her to anyone who is planning an event. I will write more about her after my honeymoon! :)
I had the best experience with Victoria. She had amazing ideas for my wedding day. The touch of blues in a silver and white tone theme added elegance and grace, just as I was imagining it. All flowers were really fresh and guests were all eager to take it home after. Despite the great work, I had no issues communicating and from the start of our consultation, I noticed how quickly I was understood with my requests. My bouquet was so full and heavy, so I know I got my money’s worth. Definitely a to-go-to florist with any wants and needs that will be fulfilled beyond expected.

Joanne and her team were amazing to work with. They're a newer company and ready to go above and beyond to make your day happen. She was responsive and thorough, which made wedding planning less stressful and fun! She gave my husband and I a lot of options and were able to work with our budget without compromising the things we wanted. She connected me with a local florist and videographer. Their services exceeded my expectations and were great to work with as well. Joanne also arrived early on the day of my wedding to make sure the vendors were on track. It was a pleasure working with her team and I'd highly recommend their services.
Susan from Eventive Moments was our wedding coordinator for our 9/30/17 wedding in Pasadena. We do not have enough amazing things to say about her, but will try to be as helpful to others in this review. Susan was the following to us, 1. Organized, detail-oriented, punctual, experienced -- Her experience shows as she she kept us on track during the planning of our wedding, did not overlook any details, and was there for everything (rehearsal, setting up, cleaning up, etc.). 2. Professional and proactive -- Susan went above and beyond in the planning and day-of. A lot of things went off track at the wedding (none being her fault) like the caterers running late, the fire alarm going off, the EMCEE being clueless, however, NONE of the guests had ANY idea!! Every challenge that came up, Susan handled it gracefully and immediately. This is because Susan remained professional, calm, collected, and thought fast on her feet to improvise and get everything back in order without a hair out of place. 3. Creative and generous -- Not only did Susan keep all the big ticket items in line, but she was a tremendous help to us with smaller items, too, like party favors, seating charts, photos, and decor. She did not hesitate to help us print the seating chart or photos when we panicked two nights before and told her we didn't have time. She's incredibly crafty and creative, so everything she worked on was beautiful. 4. Talented -- Susan made sure the venue was set up immaculately. Everything looked beautiful and our guests were raving. She pays close attention to what you have envisioned and nails it. 5. Trustworthy, Kind, Passionate -- From the first phone call, we knew we wanted to hire Susan because you can tell she is passionate about her work and we felt immediate trust that she would do everything she could for us to make the day perfect. She is so kind and caring, and listens. She will go out of her way for you because she cares. We highly recommend Eventive Moments, we will be telling all our friends and family about Susan + Co and how monumental she was in making our wedding the most special day ever!
I was hesitant to get a planner at first because we were working with a very small budget, but Ira was (is) absolutely amazing. She worked within our budget, helped my plans materialize and made my wedding day beyond incredible. She is such a hard worker, so kind, and very knowledgeable for the planning industry. I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding where Arsineh Alenkin of AB Weddings & Special Events was the wedding planner. I can say without reservation that Arsineh is the best planner I've worked with to date. It is a special planner that takes care of both her clients AND their vendors. The day was incredibly smooth, on schedule and stress-free... all the results of thorough and efficient planning. Arsineh is a very hard worker, a great communicator, and can multitask with the best of them. I have only amazing things to say about Arsineh and hope to have the opportunity to work with her and her company again.
I hired a Golden Affair (GA) for my wedding earlier this year and they did a phenomenal job! They were very considerate of my wants and needs and made sure that my day turned out the way I wanted. GA provide excellent services and options that fit within my budgets and their enthusiast for the industry truly shows in their work. I highly recommend them for any events! and will definitely be spreading the word to my family and friends!
The Perfectly Event Planning Team was wonderful - I'm a highly organized woman, and didn't think I would need any help for the day of my wedding. However, Jessell offered her services and I'm so happy we hired her. I was able to enjoy our wedding and the entire day and just let Jessell worry about the nitty gritty and the payments and the time-line and getting my husband to where he needed to be! We couldn't have done it without her and don't know that we would have wanted to! I highly recommend Perfectly Event Planning to anyone who needs a little order to their event.
We hired Kristina as a day-of coordinator for our wedding - and WOW are we so glad that we did. She is awesome, very detail oriented, and bent over backwards to ensure our wedding went off without a hitch!! She contacted us ahead of time in order to ensure she knew exactly what we wanted on our wedding day and how she could best help us out. She did everything from picking up wine, event set-up/take-down, and vendor coordination to ensure that our day went extremely smoothly and as planned. She knew our plan so well that she never even came up to us during the event to ask a question - she just worked behind the scenes to enable us to enjoy every minute of our big day. It was amazing, she's the best and makes wedding day stress-free. Would highly recommend her to anyone as a wedding coordinator/planner and would hire her again in a second! You don't need to look anywhere else!
