I'm a longtime yogi who lost my left foot a few months ago. Sarah has been working with me individually for a couple of months now to regain my practice. This was a rather challenging assignment; standard yoga instruction and poses will obviously not do in my situation, and we have both had to work together, feeling our way forward on how to adapt things.
I could not be happier with Sarah as an instructor. She has moved my practice forward faster than I would have believed possible, projecting enthusiasm and cheerfulness, striking a difficult balance between respect for what I can do today and encouragement to do more. We have had to work out unique adaptations for most poses, and she plunged into this with creativity and imagination, and I find myself doing poses each week I assumed I would never do again. I can't help feeling my victories are her victories, the hallmark of an excellent teacher.
