Definitely 5 stars! I found Shape Up because they run a corporate fitness program at my work. I now take extra sessions at the studio with MarkShane. He's awesome! He tailors the workout to you. He's super fit and does really intense workouts with other people, but for me and my friends, he creates fun workouts with a lot of variety. He's really nice and caring. The Studio is good for any level of fitness! I highly recommend Shape Up Studio at work or privately.
I highly recommend Megan for anyone looking to improve their fitness. Megan's personal training had a major impact in my life. I took yoga lessons for her for 6 months. Through her instruction I was able to balance my mind, body and soul. I also literally improved my balance skills which helps out on my favorite activity...downhill longboarding. Megan is extremely dedicated to and knowledgeable about personal training and fitness.
Rich has the rare combination of passion and patience not often seen in the fitness and training world. In my many personal ups and downs in my ongoing battle with my weight, Rich was the one trainer who knew how to push me, yet keep things fun and interesting. He never allowed workouts to get stale or repetitive and knew that perfect balance to push you to the limit without breaking you. The best part about Rich is that he is a normal guy's guy and doesn't look down on anyone. He knows how to relate complicated nutrition and training principles to a lay-personwho doesn't understand the first thing about any of it. My only complaint is he no longer is local so I can't train with him anymore! However, I recently lost 40lbs implementing those many little tricks he passed on to me years ago. As I said, he knows how to relate the information in ways that are easy to remember and so that you won't forget. Do yourself a BIG favor and train with Rich today!
Lana is a truly outstanding personal trainer. I have been working with her for over 5 years. She is knowledgeable and keeps up with the latest info & trends in the fitness space, continually adding to her repertoire. In addition to strength training (with weights), core work and aqua running / water fitness, we've started working with TRX (she's TRX certified too). Lana incorporates a scientific, yet fun approach and we train with heart rate monitors (optional), so we have a measure of fitness and strength progression and I am seeing definite results. She works around my injuries so that I am able to continue training consistently. She has developed a very personalized training plan for me, which she adjusts on an ongoing basis, as I progress. No cookie cutter programs here!!! AND, I am now fitter, stronger and more flexible than I have ever been. Lana walks the walk and is an amazing athlete herself. She is dedicated to my health & fitness and while she is always warm and encouraging, she is also firm & focused - always keeping me on track.
Wes" is hands down, one of the best trainer's you'll ever work with. He is a pleasure to be around. His energy his positive. The man lives, breathes, and eats fitness, working out with Wes" is never dull, he's constantly switching up your routine, and exposing you to new things. I see other trainers working with other people in my gym, and I can honestly say none of them hold a candle to Wes. I have seen incredible results working out with Wes!" I was looking for a yoga instructor to introduce me to the practice and to help me manage the soreness and work related stress held within my body. Allison has exceeded my expectations with her expertise and patience in teaching me poses which specifically address my needs. After just a few sessions, I have felt much more limber and relaxed overall, and I look forward to incorporateing the practice into my daily routine. I highly recommend Allison as a personal yoga coach for all levels of experience.
I hired Tom initially to get in shape for my approaching wedding in Hawaii, which I then continued for 3 months after as the results were excellent. Tom pays attention to your goals, habits, metabolic type, and physical abilities. His diet suggestions and diversity in workout routines kept things interesting and fun (as fun as working out can be at first!) Tom's knowledge of CrossFit training, weights, and various other disciplines set him apart from your typical 24hr fitness trainer. He was willing to be flexible with my work schedule and was always available for a quick call or text. Tom provides encouragement, support, and puts together a solid plan to achieve your goals. I would highly recommend Tom for anyone hesitant or intimidated by the gym and or initial commitment of getting in shape.

I had the privilege to work with Lisa Michele and give her program my highest recommendation! The 90-day program put together by Lisa exceeded all my expectations! She taught me different ways to think about food, in terms of eating and preparing food. We also spent time discussing fitness topics, and even though I live in Phoenix, she was able to prescribe an exercise program that helped me meet my fitness and health goals. I finally lost those stubborn last 10 pounds I struggled to lose, strengthened my upper body and I even ran my first 5K race, with her training program, support, and encouragement. Lisa has a friendly personality, abundant energy, empathetic soul, and is a genuinely good person. Her program really worked for me.
Diane and I worked for a couple of weeks and she had showed me how professional she can be. She absolutely helped me a lot in teaching me new exercises. In the beginning of our course she asked where I wanted to be when it came to how I wanted my body to be and she made my own personal fitness plan according to what I told her. The fitness plan was great! Although we had only worked for a couple of weeks, I did see some changes especially in the way I eat. To top all of that she was very sociable and understanding. She actually tries to get to know you which is great. I felt comfortable opening about myself with her. My few weeks with her were great! I totally recommend working with her!
I did a lot of research on the internet on Fitness Trainers before deciding on Colby and was thoroughly impressed & satisfied with the training program he set out for me. I loved the professionalism of the whole experience; his knowledge, work ethic, the FACILITY & STAFF. It was not a "meat locker" but people with a common purpose working hard to attain it. What I love was Colby was 100% on me in training ... no wandering eyes, answering phone with other clients and NEVER gave me the sense he was board with what he was doing. Always encouraging and keenly aware of what I was going thru mentally as well as physically. Though I have moved out of the area, I still hitting him up with advice and help & he always responds ... he is the man! Try that with some of the other trainers after your contract is up! Highly recommend him to anyone that is serious about their training on ALL levels. I am no pin up model lol. Thanks Colby!
I've been training with Zack at VBA fitness for about 5 months now, and I've definitely seen a positive difference. I'm much stronger and have a lot more energy. Zack designs the workouts to fit your needs and works well with you if you had any previous injuries. The sessions overall are very challenging but fun! I highly recommend Zack as a personal trainer!
I was a scared girl who wanted change but I didn't know where to start. I walked past the gym for 2 months until I finally found the bravery to walk in. I was matched up with Candon as my trainer & started going once a week. I have been working with Candon for 6 months straight & he has helped build confidence in me to workout & challenge myself, even on my non training days. It's about always improving myself for a happier & healthier life, starting from the inside out. Candon now works with me twice-three times a week to achieve my goals. It took a long time for me to realize that personal trainers honestly and genuinely want what you want. He will be your biggest fan. I have a spinal injury which creates a struggle when doing certain moves, but I ask Candon to push me harder and he does. If I need an easier day, he doesn't hold it against me or make me feel bad about it. He just asks for communication and honesty regarding what I'm struggling with so he knows how to help me. He praises that I've taken effort to still show up even on my low/hard days because he knows that with each day I show up...is another day closer to me reaching my goal. He is one of my #1 supporters on my overall health and fitness journey and I genuinely know that he wants to see me happy. To date I have dropped over 70 pounds with about 40 more to go. I am now transitioning away from weight loss & into muscle building/toning and I've never been more eager! I recommend Candon for ALL levels of fitness from the beginner/novice to the extreme/advanced weight lifter. He is well rounded with his education and understanding of the body & different muscle groups & has an amazing character. After my first week of working out with Roger, I learned what a real workout was supposed to be! 3 years later, I still went home with sore muscles on a daily basis! His workouts are always changing, so your body never gets used to doing the same ol routine. He is extremely attentive to his clients and very knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition, and health. Roger will create a workout specified to your goals and push you beyond limits you thought you had! I would highly recommend Roger to anyone who is in need of some serious motivation from someone who genuinely cares about their health!

John Burson has been my fitness trainer for over 12 years. He is highly competent and very professional, but what I like best is how attentive he is in customizing the workout specifically for me. Over many years, he has always fine tuned each exercise to best match my sometimes changing needs and wishes regarding my fitness. Thanks also to his very friendly attitude, every workout with him is always fun and enjoyable, never boring. Last but not least he is also very reasonable with his rates and flexible to accommodate my schedule. I would recommend John as a rare example of an ideal fitness trainer.

His knowledge about the human body and about fitness is extensive for being an undergrad in school and I feel confident in what he says. I love training at Body By Bobbie. They have fun classes, energetic instructors, and very clean facilities. No matter what class I take, I know I'm getting an excellent workout each time! I highly recommend this gym for anyone that's looking for a challenge or a change up in their exercise routine. I have been at this gym for 3 years and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon!
I am so happy to have found a personal trainer who is extremely knowledgeable about the field and very patient with someone who is just getting into fitness. I have been training with Stacey for almost 2 months now and love that our workouts are challenging yet fun. Aside from the workouts, she has created a diet plan specific to me and my needs.
