Onyx Fitness Training is an awesome experience! They start off with a free session...take bodyfat and measurements. They are very experienced and knowledgeable with Exercise Physiologists and certified personal trainers on hand. I was very impressed with their facility and their beach workouts are amazing! I would definitely recommend!
I have been to a few personal trainers over the years and Anna is by far the best. She has a keen eye for detail, always ensuring your former is correct....which helps protect you from injury and makes you work the targeted area even better!! Her gym is neatly laid out and very clean! A huge plus for me!! On top of all this she takes videos of you working out to show you your form and remind you that you really can do it!! Super encouraging! I would highly recommend her to anyone who is serious about improving their health!!
I had a great experience! Corey was the 3rd person to contact me on thumbtack with a "personal" message. I went with him because he replied quick to my questions and followed up with me to see how I was doing.. Nothing salesy or forced, it felt genuine. Once I explained to Corey my goals and what I was looking for in a trainer, Corey was able to connect me with a personal trainer by the name of Troy (who works for/with him). I am on my 3rd session w/Troy and he's everything I've been looking for in a trainer. He's professional, understanding, flexible, straight to the point, stern with a sense of humor.. Oh yeah, and easy on the eyes. Troy has over 8 years of experience and is a boxer so from time to time, he'll incorporate boxing in my workout and I'm excited about that. The $35 fee noted is for a 30 min session but I recommend going with an hour session so you can get a full body workout with a personal trainer that can tell you what you're doing right vs. what you're doing wrong. I booked for 12 sessions which will cover me for a month @ 3 sessions/week. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a personal trainer whether it be short term or long term. Bottom line, you'll definitely get your money's worth in each session. I am very pleased.
I am very impressed with Julian! He is extremely knowledgeable and loves what he does, and it shows. He made me feel very comfortable and helped me start to develop a personal plan that would work best for me. My entire life I have always taken care of everyone else but "me", so now that I am in mid-life - I am finally going to take care of myself. I want to lose 30-35 pounds and tone up as well. I have a very tight work schedule, and Julian worked with me to find a time that works best for both of us. I look forward to working with my personal trainer and making some "forever" life changes.
I just had my first session with Craig Marks at Tru-Fit and I am very pleased with my choice of trainer from Thumbtack. Craig's credentials were exactly what I had looked for and his education and knowledge are outstanding. I was offered quotes from 2 other personal trainers and after doing my research, Craig was the one I chose for his experience. One of the others I received a quote from had actually fabricated his education and experience, stating at first he was a physical therapist, master's level exercise physiologist and trainer. When questioned futher, he backtracked and stated he was not a licensed physical therapist but only an assistant. When questioned even further, I learned he did not have any type of physical therapy education or a degree as an exercise physiologist. Due diligence paid off! I've got a phenomenal trainer in Craig!
Bentley has tremendous knowledge of personal training. He takes care of his clients to be sure that they are physically ready for all progression in their training. He's kind, humorous, and professional. He makes working out great fun! I have worked with many personal trainers and, by far, Bentley has been the most fun and the most productive. Last, but definitely not least, his pricing is exceptionally fair!

Having Bryan as my personal trainer was Great! One thing I liked was his attention to good form in order to get the results. Also the way he mixes things up to keep from getting bored. Always on time and sings to his favorite songs :) He knows his stuff!!
Pedro has been my personal trainer for 18 months. I never excercised regularly before. Pedro helped me love working out! Now it is part of my life 3-4 days a week! Pedro is very professional and knowledgeable. He was very patient with me. When I couldn't do an excercise he would break it down into steps until I did it time after time. His focus on form is extremely important to not hurt yourself. I know he is knowledgeable about joints and muscles because I am a physician. Pedro is an excellent teacher. I love my workouts and look forward to them every time. I told Pedro he and I are for life!!! We in fact have become friends! Pedro is a great trainer!!! Eric’s gym is a fantastic facility. Eric was very knowledgeable about different work outs. He pushed me to work out harder. I’ve dealt with other personal trainers before Eric is one of the most friendly ones you will find. He also helped go over a diet plan and was very helpful. I’m already down 10lbs this month! I’d recommend Eric to everyone!
