Outstanding tutor! I wish I had found Dr. Lunsford earlier on in my Calculus I class, but nonetheless the couple of sessions we had together in preparation for my final exam made the difference! I received an A on the final thanks in large part for his expertise in breaking down a few difficult concepts I had been hung up on. Dr. Lunsford is extremely knowledgeable, professional and takes the time to ensure I understand the underlying principles behind the calculations. He has a very intuitive sense of explaining things from different angles so that the student is able to tackle a wide variety of problems. If you are looking for a math tutor, please stop your search right here and give Dr. Lunsford a call. He will exceed your expectations! I will be utilizing him again when I begin my calculus II class and look forward to the sessions!
This tutoring absolutely works. My son and my daughter both were failing Algebra 2 when I started having them tutored. They both brought their grades up to an A on the next grading period. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience has been with Perry and his staff. I would recommend this to anyone whose child is failing a subject.
My son, Bobby, absolutely hated math, and didn't even want to go to school! I didn't know what to do! Then, a friend recommended Jennifer at Seeds of Knowledge Tutoring. Bobby and I both loved her! We went to her house for 2 hour sessions. (Jennifer even has a little couch where parents can wait and read, or whatever, while she tutors the children!) Within a couple of sessions, Bobby was LAUGHING!! Now he LOVES math! His teacher says that he is doing MUCH better! We were THRILLED with the help that our son received!
I started my fourth grader with his tutor because he was failing everything after moving to a new school. The next report card he had 1 B and the rest C's. Heather found a great tutor for him,Pam, that developed a wonderful relationship with him. We will be starting again in the fall when school starts. I can't recommend them highly enough!
Jim, Is very professional and very knowledgeable of the math course that he is currently teaching me. I feel very good about my first tutoring experience with jim and that he's has helped me a lot so far. I'm very confident that he will be a great help to me in completing my current net course. Marlene is amazing!! In only a few visits, she got my 7th grader to improve from getting 30-40% on his algebra tests to 90's. We will be using her again whenever he needs help or for some guided studying for standardized and high school placement tests.
My son had fell behind in third grade and we were seeking a tutor that would help catch him up and prepare him for the fourth grade. Hiring Kati from Bullseye Learning was a God sent. Not only has my son excelled in fourth grade courses, he has also gained confidence and skills sets, I feel he would not have gained in a normative classroom. So we decided to hire her full-time. I am both relieved that my son is learning by leaps and bounds and grateful for the commitment that Kate at Bullseye Learning has displayed in her efforts in educating of my son. Thanks-Bullseye
Great experience, She was knowledgeable and affordable.
Svetlana Cheskidova has the ability to tailor her math techniques to the student's understanding. She breaks down the hardest equations into small, simple chunks that one can easily understand. She makes math fun! I have taken math classes with three different professors, each time quitting the class half way through the semester. After using Svetlana for tutoring, I got an A in Algebra!
Knows what he is teaching, willing to work with your schedule, overall a good experience.
Bethany, is quite nice and knowledgeable about the MAC. She teaches like a teacher. I like her and would continue working with her as long as I need to.

I am a graduate student who has four years of teaching experience. I soon and will be able to tutor students in the Tampa area starting July 8th. I am certified to teach middle and high school math, and I have also tutored several students in SAT and ACT prep. I have a passion for science and literature and love to get book suggestions from family and friends. For my undergraduate degree, I attended New College of Florida and studied anthropology/archaeology. I loved working with adolescents, so after graduating I worked as a middle school math teacher. I know how hard it is to make sure every student gets the individual attention they deserve, so as a tutor it is my goal to give my students the focused help they need to be successful. I have a strong math background. In addition to being certified to teach math grades 6-12, I scored a 760 out of 800 on the math section of the SAT and a 163 out of 170 on the GRE quantitative reasoning section. The most important part of teaching math, however, is being able to explain the basic connections between new material and what the student already knows. That is a skill I developed as a math teacher and use now as a tutor.
We assist students in grades K through college in a wide variety of subject matters, including college prep courses, ACT, and SAT.
Hello! My name is Natalie, and I'm a former school teacher. I've mainly worked with students in grades K-6, and I also have experiences in tutoring students at the high school level. The subjects I tutor are math, English, reading, writing, and Spanish. I usually like tutoring in a quiet environment, such as a library, but I will also drive to your home. The hourly fee is $30.
At iLearn, our goal is to bring back a love for learning by making education a personal experience. We tutor by first learning who our students are, then incorporate their likes and interests into tutoring plans that will turn each school subject into their favorite school subject. Personally, I also work as a professional photographer and videographer with the goal of making full fledged wildlife documentaries. Integrative Biology is my passion and it has led me to explore many scientific topics that I now strive to combine with art to deliver to the public. I have a particular interest in Quantum theory and Relativity as a hobby as well. Science, for me, is a fun way of understanding the world around us and being able to interact with it in the best way possible. I am here to share that perspective with you and look forward to assisting you in your academic journey.
