I was hesitant at first, since most personal trainers seem to be more drill sergeant than trainer, and I usually end up hurt. But I just moved to the area from NY, so figured I'd give it a go. I was really impressed that Rap took a lot of time to watch me walk, do squats and other movements to assess my posture and body alignment issues. He said I have too much curve in my back. That's true! And then he said something about tight hips...I knew he really had me pegged. I felt instantly more comfortable knowing he would design something that wouldn't end up with me in back spasms. Better than that, he really took time to watch every exercise I did and corrected me- he never left me alone to flounder, and was always positive and encouraging. I felt that his program was designed specifically for me and my body. Rap is a rare find!

Andrew is very concerned about your physical status and not getting hurt during training. I have had other trainers where I did get hurt. That really messes up your progress. Andrew wants to keep you healthy. He is also very knowledgeable on how the body works and how to get the most benefit from your work outs. After he is working with you the workouts intensify as your fitness improves. He is also very helpful on how foods work together, something in 62 years I didn't really understand. I think you will enjoy training with Andrew.

Alex Latow has been my personal trainer since January of 2015. He trained me while we were both attending Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa and will remain as my trainer through the 2015 summer in Deltona, Florida. Alex was always looking for feedback and was always very clear with the goals we were setting both short-term and long-term. He would go above and beyond always on time whether it was 6am before school, or 7pm after track practice he was always there and ready to train. He could always explain the purpose of each exercise and was ready and able to give demonstrations when needed. Alex is an incredibly dedicated individual and I was able to achieve my body fat percentage and weight goals very quickly thanks to Alex's knowledge with diet plans, cardiovascular, and strength training.

Our dad was diagnosed with symptoms of Parkinson's disease which causes muscle rigidity. Before Marie our dad could barely turn his neck to look over his shoulder and couldn't pass his eye doctor's requirements for his driving test because he was unable to bend his neck to look into the machine. In just a little over a month our dad can turn his neck and has passed his doctor's requirements for his driving test. His mood has also improved and he is doing more physical chores (landscaping) around the house. Marie is very friendly and patient during training and provides our father with exercises to perform on days when he doesn't have a session. We recommend Marie for anyone that is looking for a personal trainer.

No one can tell you that you need to make a change; you have to get to that realization on your own. No matter who gives you good advice it has to be an internal decision to do something about it. I had that happen to me in May 2011 when I fell while bicycle riding. It was a wake-up call that I had been ignoring for years, that I was just out of shape and overweight. A few months after that serendipity brought me to the gym with a discount offer for a package of personal training sessions, and I was introduced to Dave Crump. I didn’t know it at the time but it was a day that changed my life. I had tried to exercise in the past but was not focused on changing my life only my body. I started tracking my diet and other exercise days for Dave to review and we discussed changes along that way that helped me make better choices. I was not eating enough protein and actually not eating enough in general to start to lose weight. I was also not getting enough sleep most of the time. Without Dave to help me focus on every aspect of my life I would not have realized that getting in shape is not just about lifting weights or lunges and squats. Dave taught me that getting in shape is about creating a balance of forces within yourself through diet modifications as well as strength training and interval conditioning that makes your body give back what you put into it. My internal perception of my body and my body image took much longer to change than my actual body did. It took months for me to start seeing changes that others saw sooner. I starting exchanging fat for muscle right away and though the scale was not reflective of these changes the fit of my clothes was. I had a hard time with not seeing the scale move more quickly because I was working so it hard seemed like it should be showing. Dave’s positive attitude toward reaching my weight loss goals really kept me motivated through our training sessions and gave me encouragement to return week after week until I started seeing the progressive changes that he knew would happen. If not for Dave explaining all the physiological aspects of how training affects the body I would have been ready to quit. He could see the changes I couldn’t see. Now I have trained with Dave for over a year and his method of strength training and interval conditioning development gradually increased my ability to perform at a much higher level than I would have achieved on my own. He understands my limitations and challenges me to surpass them every week. I will grumble and complain but there is no doubt that if he thinks I can do something, I can do it. I look forward to our sessions each week. Dave has an impressive amount of knowledge which he uses to create a plan for each client to achieve their goals. I have almost reached my goal weight and have lost 68 pounds so far. I have more muscle and more energy than I thought possible. I know I could not have done this without his guidance. He never stops trying to learn and pass on that expertise to his clients through personalized training sessions and group classes. I would recommend him to anyone who is seriously interested in achieving their fitness goals. Even if you’re not sure how to get there, Dave can help you make it happen. ~Lisa E.

I wouldn’t describe Dave as just a personal trainer. He is my biggest cheerleader, a great friend, a bit of a therapist, as well as an exceptionally knowledgeable personal trainer. When I started, my initial fear was physically not being able complete exercises or intimidation by the exercises or trainer. With Dave, I know that he will never make me do something beyond my ability nor does will he ever make me feel incapable. Like I said, Dave is my biggest cheerleader and is always pushing me to finish my sets/workout. Dave’s focus isn’t solely on our time in the gym together. He’s also concerned with what I do outside of our sessions, making sure I eat right and do cardio, so I can achieve maximum results. Dave put together a customized meal plan for me based on my cooking abilities, limited time, and foods that I will actually eat. With the meal plan and Dave’s support outside our session, he helps me set and meet realistic goals. Dave has also been amazing at working around my busy schedule to make sure I meet with him regularly, so I can meet my goals. Dave takes the time to explain each exercise to me in layman’s terms and describes which part of the body it’s working. He always has a smile on his face and is full of energy, even at our late night sessions. Training with Dave has been one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself, as I feel physically and mentally healthier. I've never used a personal trainer before but I've always heard that they kick your butt like a drill instructor: Josh was different then that, laid back and very motivational, he has a calmness about him and it makes you feel comfortable with new exercises and pushing yourself more and more. He is very respectful and professional. Not only is he a fitness coach but he is someone you can trust and talk to. He will always make you laugh and your sessions will never be boring! Chris is a very professional personal trainer who loves what he does for a living. He is very attentive and focused on you and your session when training with him. After starting the program, it seemed to me that I was always eating (per my trainers instructions), and I didn't see how it could possibly help my weight by eating more often. However, I was reassured at two weeks when I realized that my waist size had already decreased! I'm excited about sticking with the program 3 times a week. It’s very encouraging and fun. I highly recommend working out with Chris, to obtain the results that you desire. We have only one body, so it's important to treat it with the respect it deserves. I hate to work out . So having someone to come to my home and be punctual and dependable is huge. I believe he is worth a whole lot more than I pay . He is literally saving my life.
